This place feels like a very cheap hotel. The elevator was out of service, the pillows were an odd shape and when we asked for another pillow we were told there were none. The parking was complicated, at best. The beds were uncomfortable. The pictures on this site are misleading. But the location is great!

Front desk staff were helpful and spoke English well enough. Rooms are sparse and simple, basic, ask for extra pillows as you only get two for a king bed, no parking on site and you have to rely on street parking which is a hassle. Room 302 was not so good, the room had a strange odour of wet dog or sour feet when entering, opening a window didn’t help much. No air conditioning and everything felt damp because of the rainy weather. Location is great, close to chateau Caen and the old town around the corner with some good eats and nice scenery.

Hotel was perfect for us during our stay over D-Day. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Don’t be put off by the parking all car parks are free between 19:30-09:30 and it only took a couple of minutes to find a space every time. Will definitely come back again!

Not great. The room was very cramped with the 3 of us and the first room was full of mould so I asked to move which they did immediately. The staff were lovely which was the only good thing about the hotel. The parking was atrocious, especially if you arrived in anything bigger than a roller skate/Renault Clio. The hotel is badly maintained and desperately needs a makeover. At times it felt like we were visiting fawlty towers. The lift nearly works but I wouldn’t recommend getting in it with your luggage, just send your luggage, if it fits. The hotel is perfectly positioned in Caen but whoever owns it doesn’t want to invest in it. If it were managed properly it could be ideal. And lastly whoever said in a review don’t worry about the parking, must have cycled.

Cette fois j'ai occupé pendant quatre nuits une chambre non rénovée et j'ai été déçue (chambre plus petite, odeur désagréable, ménage laissant à désirer...). Quand je l'ai gentiment signalé à la direction, celle-ci n'a pas du tout été sympa et n'a pas tenu compte de mes remarques.

The hotel was very clean, the room was small but did'nt cause any issues. The bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast which was very well presented and for 13 Euro was not a bad price. The dining area was also very nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Really friendly staff and only 7 mins walk from popular rue Vaugueu... But room was tiny for family of 3, uncomfortable soft beds, no charming surroundings as the photos might suggest (in council estate) and no free parking nearby with difficult and busy parking nearby.

Excellent hôtel in a really lovely part of Caen near the Chateau. The rooms were clean and modern and the beds were really comfy. I would definitely come back again. Things to improve would be water available in the room and a shaver socket - neither of which were provided.

The toilet is so close to the wall that you can only sit sideways on it. Ridiculous to install a toilet like that. The hotel rooms overlook the roof of a restaurant with noisy ventilation exhaust of the kitchen, which keeps making loud noise even at night, when the restaurant is closed

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Easily walkable to train station, restaurants, interesting areas of Caen. We stayed there to visit Juno beach on the Normandy coast. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars was the lady behind the front desk barely glanced up at us when we came and went, couldn’t be less interested in us. When we checked out early, she couldn’t store our luggage because she was full, so we had to drag our bags around for 4 hours waiting for the train. It was very disappointing.

Staff was very accomodating and knowledgable about the area. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet, I had a great sleep. Location is close to everything, including some incredible cafes and amazing restaurants. They had no issue with letting us store our bags after checking out, so we could comfortably visit Juno Beach before we left for Paris. I would 100% stay again.

Sound insulaton is poor, all the door hinges are squeaky, and the bedding cover stunk like rags. I have asked the duvet comforter to be changed because the stinky bedding cover was touching the comforter and the smell got passed on, but they denied to change for me because they said they could only change every 3 days. Absolutely poor service and unfriendly receptionists.

Very helpful staff. Close to everything and especially restaurants like Monsieur Louis on Pl. Saint-Sauveur. Only small complaint would be how tight the bathroom was. A tall person would have trouble sitting on the toilet in the room I had on the 4th floor. But nice view from the balcony.

Very pleasant, centrally located, helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. We came on the train from Paris, rented a car, then went to Bayeux for the Tapestry and to the Normandy beaches. Dress warm for those beaches - the wind is strong!
