Mercure Bucharest Unirii

No room service. Standard in 4 star hotels in Central Europe

Very nice hotel, with confortable bed and various breakfast. Central into bucharest. Nice menu card for lunch/dinner and the staff are very kind and helpful.

The front desk and restaurant staff were amazing. The room was excellent and clean and nicely decorated. The availability of many free parking spaces was also positive. I didn't like it and this hotel, downgraded to at least 3 stars, really misses the 4 star rating from the data below, at least for me. The lobby is non-existent... there are only 6 to 8 seats to sit on poor quality furniture. It is the same with the restaurant which also has poor quality and poor menu. It does not have a gym. The breakfast room is reminiscent of a university breakfast room, so plain and poorly designed. The corridors of each floor around the elevator are reminiscent of popular apartment buildings. The bottom line is that I only liked the room and not the common areas. I didn't feel like I was in a 4 star hotel but in an apartment building.

The hotel is close, about 10 minute walk to old town and a straight but longer walk to house of parliament. Bucharest is huge so hard to get a hotel close to everything. Anyway Mercure urinii staff were incredible from the start. I had five days before a tour I was on started from same hotel. They made it so easy to stay in my room rather than change. Allowed me to keep a bag in storage until I returned. And if you want a chat check Louis out in the hotel bar. Breakfast is plentiful with all you need. I find it hard to fault. Well done Mercure

We spent a week in Bucharest and staying at Mercure has been a pleasant experience. Although located in the City center it was very quiet. Large and clean room. Good and rich breakfast and a bar in the lobby where they offer lunch and dinner as well. Great place! As for the staff, everybody smiles. We liked very much and it’s for sure that for our next visit in Bucharest we’ll book our accommodation at Mercure again.

The staff makes this place great. It is not far from the Old Town and best of all parking is free and right in front of the hotel.

I only booked this hotel the night before i arrived having changed it from another, the distance to city centre & locality swayed me. After a very early flight i was delighted that a room was ready for me when I arrived. The room was perfect, spacious, comfortable & clean. The staff were so friendly & helpful & when i said I wouldnt be able to make breakfast for 2 of the mornings, i was told that they could prepare a breakfast to go as long as i ordered it by 8pm the night before. When i went to do this, the young lady wasnt aware of this option (i do believe it was just a misunderstanding due to me not being able to speak Romanian & not able to communicate properly to her) so i didnt get to order anything. The breakfast choices were wide & varied & very attentitive staff on hand to help. One small thing that i thought was simple but so effective was that the towels in the bathroom had little hanging loops on them. All hotels should do this so that towels that you want to reuse can be hung securely on the hook without risk of falling off. Only 2 things I can fault (if even), I only received water once (4 night stay), & on my last morning when i was trying to relax before departure, there was some very noisy maintenence work going on outside my room. To be fair, as soon as I peeked out the door, they stopped. If i ever come back to Bucharest I would most definitely stay at this hotel & I would reccomend it to family & friends. The price point was excellent too.

Very nice hotel within walking distance to important areas within the city. The elevator was a bit of a pain because it was VERY small and no ramps to go up the stairs. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Mycket trevligt hotell med bra service och en restaurang/bar med rimliga priser och god kvalité. Alla lokaler vi besökte i Bucharest, inklusive hotellet hade mycket hög inomhustemperatur, rummens termostat var ställd på 25 grader i alla rummen och ställdes tillbaka av dem som städade om man hade ändrat. Enda sätter att kunna sova var att ha fönstret öppet, termostaten gick inte lägre än 20 grader och det märktes ingen skillnad om man ställde den på det. Som kvinna ser jag det som ett stort problem att så gott som alla hotell i världen inte har tillräcklig belysning i badrummet, man får sminka sig i halvmörker OCH motljus från spotar och får gå på känsla och erfarenhet och hoppas att man inte går ut och ser ut som en clown. De nämnde att de tänkt sätta in sminkspeglar med förstoring och ljud, men det hjälper bara en del av problemet, du ser förvisso vad du gör, men det går inte att se slutresultatet.

Mercure Unirii is delightful, charming, and up-to-date. There is a sumptuous, delicious, generous, varied breakfast. Fruits, cheeses, breads, eggs many ways, pate, ratatouille, cooked vegetables, babaganoush, hummus, cookies and muffins and cakes, coffees, teas, juices, milk. The neighborhood is safe, available parking, and close to public transportation; there’s shopping 4 blocks away.

Odam çok temiz ve konforluydu. çevre dostu bir otel olması ayrıca çok hoşuma gitti. check in sırasındaki görevli çok yardımcı ve ilgiliydi. Kahvaltı salonu ve çeşitliliği de iyiydi. genel olarak çok memnun kaldım.

Issue, not finding my reservation upon arrival, carpet in the room was not clean

I booked queen size bed, got a single bed. They did offer me Free minibar to compensate. The bathroom was complicated: issues with soap and shower gel, water was burning hot in both directions. Not an easy stay. But clean hotel

Manager refused a partial or whole refund after disturbed night due to faulty air conditioning. Very unhelpful and unreasaonable.

The room was clean and a good size with lots of space, we had a twin we shared and were never on top of each other. We had a great shower and rh power and temp were so easy to control and brilliant! The location was amazing as we were a 10 min stroll from the Old Town and the reception smelt amazing at all times!

Sehr geräumige Zimmer, sehr Sauber, einfach zu erreichen, sehr ruhig gelegen, 24std. Rezeption und check Out bis 12Uhr! Sehr empfehlenswert

Excellent service. I had an issue with my tour company and Clara, in reception, was so king helping me. She went above and beyond trying to find out information I needed. The hotel was clean, easy access, not far from Old Town. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again if I am in town.

Great staff that facilitated discussions prior to arrival. They ensured that airport pick up was sorted and the pick up was on time and very professional. The stay was great, without any issues.

Excellent location for the National Library. Less than 10 min walk to underground; centre about 15 min. Attentive staff, clean and comfy room.

The property is located pretty central. Could have been cleaner and room service was not always refilling the coffee or changing the towels. Stuff very very nice and receptive. Great place

The neighborhood is safe, available parking, and close to public transportation; there’s shopping 4 blocks away.

Hotel was clean and the room was good. İt was good for its price and15-20 dk to city centre by walk. But we didn't like the hotel's neighbourhood. we couldn't feel safe because of the people in surrounding area. Oda gayet temiz ve düzgündü herhangi bir sorun yaşamadık otelle ancak çift olarak gittiğimiz halde etraftan çok tedirgin olduk. aslında merkeze yürüme mesafesinde olmasına rağmen havanın karardığı oldukça erken saatlerde bile taksi yada uber kullanmadan gelip gidemedik çünkü etraftaki evsiz ve sarhoş insanlar oldukça tedirgin ediciydi otelin içine yada taksiye kadar bize eşlik edenler oldu bu durum bizi biraz gerdi.

Rent og fint hotellrom med en behagelig lenestol man kunne slappe av i etter å gått rundt hele dagen.Lett å komme dit fra flyplassen (buss 783 fra flyplassen til Piata Uniril 1, derfra tar man buss 104 eller 123 to stopp - hotellet ligger 100 meter opp i veien på andre siden av busstoppet) - ellers tar det ca 10 min å gå fra siste bussstopp). Hyggelig folk i resepsjonen. Gangavstand fra både gamlebyen og Presidentpallasset. Ikke særlig å gjøre rundt hotellet, men da var det også mindre støy (men hører bilene fra avenyen som går til presidentpalasset - ikke plagsomt). Vil absolutt bo her igjen da det var enkelt å komme seg rundt i byen herfra

Μείναμε 2 βράδια. Η διαμονή μας περιλάμβανε πρωινό. Λίγα πράγματα για τόσο μεγάλο ξενοδοχείο. Το ιστορικό κέντρο ήταν προσβάσιμο με τα πόδια σε 15' με τα πόδια.

Ho prenotato al mercure pensando di ricevere condizioni migliori. Selezione coppia con bambino di 11 anni e ricevo una stanza con un letto matrimoniale da 160. Vista l'ora nn mi adava di tornare alla reception. Mi domando se cosi funziona se riservi attraverso hotels.com oppure alla reception di un 4 stelle hanno messo un incompetente. Delusione maggiore la colazione. Nn prenotetela. A pochi metri c'è uno starbucks.
