Camelback Resort

*What's the point of resort fees if you want to charge us $25/night for parking our car by ourselves in a huge lot in the middle of nowhere with no shortage of spots? *My sons wristband snapped and when I went to the front desk to get a replacement, she had the nerve to tell me that if I don't get give her the broken one, she'd charge me $25. Wasn't told this at checkin, which I should have been. *The hot tub was not working during our entire stay. *Our room did not have a coffee machine. --Other than that, we enjoyed the waterpark because it was the off season, not crowded at all.---

Typical Pocono waterpark “mess” - you just expect it and live with it, been going there for 10 years, still total break down in business processes, feeling of how they trying to scam you, clueless personal etc - just the way they always operated bc they can afford it - still booked out (example of scam - tip automatically included in breakfast check but not stated anywhere - not a word of that fishy charge - while everything else is itemized and explained. Or some prepaid outdoor roller coaster not working bc of the weather but no one knows about it at customer service desk and keep sending me to different places to figure out what’s happening, shame on management for not able get their customer service together- since opening every time there is something along same lines - under trained stuff… ohh and a new low - paid self parking - imagine you drive to Walmart, park outside and then have to pay for parking $25 when you walk in to spend thousands…here is an idea - start charging for breathing air around property

The room is really nice but the water in the water park was very cold. It made it very uncomfortable. We have been here several times before and it was never this cold.

The good: responsive, friendly, and genuinely helpful staff. The free shuttle service is great, and there are so many activities that kept our 7yo engaged and happy. Aquatopia is great fun, the indoor ropes course is excellent, mountain coaster was a hit. Rooms were surprisingly quiet and beds comfortable. The not great: slippery algae on floor and steps in Aquatopia; bathtub had no stopper and was unusable; cabanas are so overpriced that most of them stood empty even in July. Also, no coffeemaker in your room. The bad: booking activities on the app or website was deeply frustrating. The interface is NOT intuitive, and it froze up on me repeatedly. I gave up more than once and went down to the Events office (not easy to find) and had to book in person. I overheard other parents complaining about the same issue. Skip the mini golf course. It’s tiny and looks like they ordered a backyard set from Temu. Also, the check in counter is clearly too small, understaffed, and overwhelmed. Expect LONG queues to check in. Would we return? Probably. It’s a nice resort. But please fix the app/website for online activity booking. Please.

Our time wasn't great because none of the water slides were open except for two we went there for the water slides the water park didn't open when it was supposed to. And the grand opening day didn't happen for the outdoor water park. the zip lines weren't running because they had no electricity for the big one they tried to accommodate us and give us arcade passes but we went there for a anniversary and couldn't do any of the things that we went there to do then they said they were giving me two nights to come back for free I can't find the email and they're not responding back to me .

Unfortunately, not all the slides were available at the water park — some of them were closed. We were also disappointed by the very small parking lot; it was especially difficult to find a parking spot on the weekend.

It was okay. I would consider staying else where and doing the activities there. The water park is very outdated and rusty. Flakes just floating or built up at the bottom of everything. With off season they have almost no one working. This means there are activities not available during the week. This was no printed anywhere. The beds were the worst we felt bruised after several nights. they only clean every 3 days, so the trash was crazy. The room was clean other wise. view great. The activities we did very fun and most all staff was very friendly and made you fell welcome. We did not try the food based on all the reviews because it was too expensive to take a chance. They give you nothing upon check in to tell you they have 2 other resteraunts on property not just the place in the lobby, we had no idea. For the price, sorry I would not stay on property and maybe try Great Wolf next time.

Everything was really nice the only thing the indoor water slides was very cold

Please note that it’s $25 dollars a day to park at a hotel you pay 300 dollars a night for, this is ridiculous to me. The outdoor waterpark is cheaper and has better rides. Overpriced for what you get, go to Kalahari, or great wolf.

Found bed bugs and the placed looked run down to me. Did not truly enjoy my experience.

While in Aquatopia i had to throw out our food after eating a little because of roaches climbing on table and plates. Didn't order anymore food in fear of waisting more money.

It Was Okay but I would never go back ! Booked a double bed room with this resort paid $500 dollars for 2 nights and had to pay $25 per night to park in resort parking lot which is ridiculous! They also put a $200 dollar hold on my card that clears in 3-5 business days .Breakfast not included $30 dollars for adults & $15 dollars for kids for breakfast and that does not include drinks ! A bottle of water is $5 dollars . I forgot to bring toothpaste so I had to buy it in the resort store a small pinky size toothpaste was $4 dollars ! The indoor water park is filthy needs to be renovated I cut my trip short and left a day early. This place is greedy they over charge for everything not worth it

The room had dirty linens and lady bug was throughout the room and I told manager he said it nothing he can do about the bugs. He send new linen for me to change.

⸻ Our stay at Camelback Resort was a nightmare. We booked a room with a balcony to celebrate our 3-year-old son’s birthday, but at 3:45 AM, we discovered a bedbug. After calling the front desk, we were left waiting nearly an hour in the same room with our child before getting a text that a new room was ready—no one came to check on us or assist. We were handed a cart and told to move ourselves. The new room was a downgrade with no balcony, even though we had paid extra for it. When we asked to switch to a Mountain View room earlier, we were told it would cost $100, which we declined. Customer service later told us the upgrade should’ve been free, but the front desk refused. A maintenance worker admitted the hotel was operating at only 28% capacity, so the lack of availability wasn’t the issue—they just didn’t care. When we decided to check out early, I returned to get my son’s stuffed animal and was shocked to return to the lobby and find security waiting for us. The officer never explained why he was there, argued with my fiancé, followed us to our room, and kicked us out. We believe we were racially profiled, as we were calm the entire time and simply wanted to leave. This was traumatizing, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable—especially on our child’s birthday. We’ll never return

Rooms were very clean and roomy. There is something for everyone at the resort. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

For starters no parking anywhere neer the front doors closest parking 1/8 of a mile away second the room was horrifying there was hair in the sink stuck to the shower wall on the bed sheets etc was afraid to walk around the room in bare feet kept our socks on. Air conditioner was mediocre barely kept room comfortable,beds were the most uncomfortable thing we have ever slept on then to top it off thought that breakfast would have been included but apparently 300 plus dollars a night doesn't get you that,it was another 25 dollars a person. Needless to say we left at 7:15 in the morning and didnt look back will never recommend or stay there ever again.

It was just OK, customer service lacking, the rooms could be cleaner, dust all over the ceiling fan, missing top sheets on the beds, soap dispenser is not working. All things you can deal with, but shouldn’t deal with when you’re staying in a hotel.

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very kind and helpful. We loved the breakfast and the pizza.

Clean and quiet room

Our room evidently had been used as an animal friendly room prior and it reeked of dog urine. we turned on the ac hoping to circulate the air but it did not help

It was so quiet. Kids had fun . Room was accessible early and clean

The room was fine, but it’s overpriced for the size and their idea of a suite is the same size room with two beds and a sofa that’s not a suite

Rooms with king bed and a bunk room is fantastic. Facility is looking worn (carpets in the room and waterpark). We were able to hear a lot of noise from neighboring rooms

Internet is really bad, I don’t recommend, we by a ice cream by the outside ride and it was awful , bad and they didn’t have strawberry, I have my car and the food not perfect , I like the room , but I have almost 3 days with the toilet the was not working properly , tell them and 2 different times and nothing, but a lady can to fix it at 3 days and the hotel they give me 6 cards to use the game in the first floor supposed to be was until we finish playing, but didn’t really work only 4 cards work and finished with 2 games and we couldn’t use two cars for games , they give up the car because of the inconvenience with the toilet 🤔

The rooms were fine. A little dated. However, it was quite noisy. Nothing is open for adults past 10pm but the kids arcade is open 24 hours so they ran the halls making noise.

Rooms just smelled a little funny. Bathroom had a mold smell as well but other than that everything was perfect

The beginning was very good with the service of Nayeli and Bernadette in reservations and check in respectively ( they get 100/10). During the stay also, all good. After checking out, I got the receipt and I have been charged 100 dollars for a breakfast at Hemisphere, when we NEVER attended the restaurant. Getting a hold of a human with the automated phone is hell, and once I got someone I need to wait for accounting to investigate. Totally ridiculous.

Came to the hotel and checked in at 3pm the room wasn’t ready and stated I would receive a text once it was. Two hours later and it still wasn’t ready. Since it was a week day we only had till 7pm to use the indoor waterpark, the only reason we were there. And only when we complained then our room Was ready after 20 mins manager didn’t care brushed it off like we can only get what we can done no customer service what so ever ruined our little getaway will probably never come back to this location and we came 3-4 times already

We were giving a number to text for room service no response , I was asking for an extra blanket for my wife . The text a number thing needs to change if there’s going to be no response and no response when calling the front desk this is unacceptable when being charged a resort fee when your paying for a service

Travelled driving for 4 hours get there at 2 pm system wasn’t working , said too wait till 330 - 4 pm not a problem , beautiful scenery. Get back at 5 p m !! Oh we’re really sorry come back . You get the point . Terrible marketing strategy too spend more money waiting , like they have an arcade and games 15 feet away from the front desk . Kind of smart . Just terrible . Waited till 5:45 p m . With zero empathy

Room cleaning service not done as specified every three day we need to put the trash outside the door because three days is too much time also we need to ask for paper, clean towels, and trash bags multiple times. The hotel is expensive but no problem with that the issue is they charged a 25 dollars Parking fee daily on top of the daily rate waiting time at the reception on the 30th was a nightmare almost 2 hrs next time I’ll book other options in the area

The check in was way behind they had us wait for about an hour until our room became available. Staff was not really helpful until I asked for a manager .

We got the upgrade bid for a two bedroom. All good! Place is nice, nice towels. Breakfast is nice, with many options in the buffet. Reception area was crowded during check-in and service at the pizzeria sucked big time. Had to beg to receive some attention. Aside from that, great option for winter!!

I booked a room through Expedia had already paid for the room and when I got there they try charging me the entire stay again. Had to speak with a manager that said she couldn’t do anything so I had to cancel my reservation and get another reservation under another name. Customer service sucks!

The resort is nice and convenient to the slopes. I liked having the shuttle service rom the hotel to the ski lodge.

Everyone on the staff was exceptional. Very helpful and friendly. We all enjoyed our time. Views were spectacular.

Unfortunately, I have to compare Camelback and Kalahari. With that comparison I would give camelback an “okay”. There aren’t much restaurant options and they require you to pay for parking. I was not happy about that. They charge $40-$50 for the outdoor park although you just paid so much to stay on the resort. Not saying you shouldn’t pay but why so much? A plus is that you are 5min from an outlet mall if you’re into that type of thing. Kids enjoyed their stay there that’s all that matters!

Felt like a canival cruise ship. No rule or order. Drunk kids and no supervision. The location its self lacks parking. Ground keeping is horrible as well.

Another wonderful stay at Camelback Resort! I loved the scenery around the property—it’s absolutely beautiful and adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The resort itself was cozy and felt very safe, making it a perfect getaway for my family. We always enjoy our time here, from the comfortable accommodations to the fun activities available. Looking forward to our next visit!

It was unique that there were shuttle buses and that guest could enjoy the property and activities without being resort guest.

Location is great with easy access right off the highway we had wonderful time with the our kids. Staff is welcoming and supportive. Property was not as clean as expected especially the room. Overall we had good time

Breakfast buffet was over rated and over price. Valet parking price 40.00 per day wow. Trail end dinning was fantastic Robert the waiter was perfect. Water parks were great! Both of them !

Very unhappy with breakfast buffet at Hemispheres. The quality is not as it once was, the price per person has gone up, up charges for juice and 18% gratuity added to bill that is listed as a tax. The pancakes were so thin (like crepes) that they hardened in the chafing dishes, French toast tasted like stale bread and we all know when you travel with kids they eat what’s familiar.. Total fail!

The restaurant at the hotel was not that good but everything else was good. The coffee was delicious , ice cream was yummy and rooms were clean.

The room was nice. The waterpark was nice. The food was very expensive and not many options to eat. Several places were closed due to short staff.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. It was really fun we enjoyed everything on the property. The was water slides were our favorite. The breakfast buffet was ok. My boyfriend said it was lacking a bet a flavor and there wasn’t many options. I enjoyed the omelette stand and the build your own waffles. I can those two things are worth the try form the buffet. Over all our stay was great. And there’s a lot of restaurants options outside the resort

We stayed for 3 nights, and overall the experience was disappointing given the cost. There was no room cleaning at all during our stay. Even after requesting trash removal, the bathroom trash was left untouched. Although the breakfast buffet had a good variety of food, the lunch and dinner options were very limited. There aren’t many restaurants to choose from, and everything is overpriced. On top of that, guests are still charged an additional resort fee of $49 per day, which makes the overall value even worse. At the swimming pool, lockers come at an extra charge even for resort guests. The wristbands they give you are poorly designed — they don’t come off unless you break them, yet you’re expected to wear them all day and night. Breakfast service was also frustrating. It’s a self-serve buffet, but servers still automatically charge an 18% tip just for bringing drinks. For the price point, including the extra resort fees, I expected far better service, dining options, and basic amenities. Unfortunately, Camelback did not deliver and fell short on too many essentials.

The front desk manager was nice and the staff was welcoming the restaurant could have better hours
