Upon arrival we were told the resort was in a state of transition, and it showed. Certain resort areas are under construction, and while many things are new, they don’t seem fully finished. For example, there is insufficient lighting between the parking lot and the rooms. The room we stayed in seemed new but was constructed haphazardly. The door to the shower area could not stay open because the rail it was riding on was uneven. The glass shower door itself was stuck in its track and was difficult to move. The provided soap, shampoo, body lotion, etc., were of low quality. We had to climb onto a sofa to turn on a major standing light. Housekeeping did not clean the room unless specifically asked, and even then the service was incomplete (for example, dirty glasses were not replaced). On the positive side, the gym is nicely equipped, and the jacuzzi is large. The resort clearly has potential, but it needs stronger management and attention to detail to reach it.

Room was nice but could tell was aging. We were informed a week before our stay facility renovating. Would have preferred knowing this prior r booking the month before. Most of the amenities were closed for this resort due to renovations. Dining, bar, room service, main pool, tennis and pickleball courts, main building, and no shuttle to old town. Our room was clean. Bed/pillows very comfortable. Quiet place to relax on our patio and at pool 2 pools were available as was very nice. Clean. Ice water and towels available. Lots of chairs and tables. Fridge in room very small. Check out size of fridge before shopping for drinks or snacks. Ice machine and filtered water placed throughout resort most worked. Grounds were clean and well kept. Staff were very nice at check in. Pool staff were friendly as well. We did have a very peaceful relaxing stay. We are looking forward to updates to rooms and will definitely stay here again.

Right now its not a good place to stay. Its undergoing renovations which they dont tell you until after you book (at least on expedia). Only one pool and hot tub works. The tv went out twice and one time for hours. For some reason they still charge a resort fee even though there is no resort really. They were painting buildings on both sides of where we stayed so you’re walking around tape etc the walk the property. Customer service was still good but they should either close until finished or not charge a resort fee or inform people prior to booking their stays.

We were notified 6 days before our trip that the resort was under construction. Two pools were closed, the restaurant was closed so we didn’t get the vip discount, no shuttle to old town. All the amenities were closed, disappointed

Please be aware that this hotel is in renovation and it does affect the general experience. The two-story rooms are very spacious and those in front of the pool make it a great plus. The hotel is a bit dated, so maybe it will be a very nice place after they are done with the renos

There was garbage under one bed and dirty socks under the other bed. The porch was super sweet but the staff came to clean the patio and rearrange it and was looking in the door while I was sitting on the couch. I felt I could not use the patio after that since it was 3 hours before my check-out.

The first and only hotel where we checked in and actually left within the same hour to stay somewhere else. I booked a 2 night stay here and paid in full and unfortunately walked away with no refund at all... But the condition of the "resort" is far from what you see online. Yes, they are under construction, but the rooms are so dark, dated, and musty. I wanted to open the curtains to bring some light into the room and what I got was a layer of dust in my face as soon as the curtains moved. We were going to just stay for the one night and check out the next day and find elsewhere, but as soon as I pulled the blanket away from the bed and moved the pillow, a bug ran across the bed and that was what made us grab our bags and leave. There was no way I would feel comfortable sleeping in the bed for even the one night if I knew there would be bugs! We've stayed at many "resort type villas" over the years and this one was by far the worst one... There is no way this is a 4 star rated hotel. Again, this is my first time leaving a review like this but I want to warn others as what you see online is not what you get in person. Unfortunate we lost out on the money spent but at least we did not have any sort of bug or tick or cockroaches on us! My husband mentioned we should let the front end staff know we were leaving immediately but as all resorts and hotels are; once you've paid, there's no refunds; so what would be the point? This came across as a 1 star resort to us, not 4.

There were cockroaches all over my room. I even left some that I killed in a glass with a note for housekeeping to verify. I also have pictures I can send of multiple roaches in the room from each night I stayed. Happy to send the photos to you.

I was disappointed because I was made aware the day that I was checking in that the hotel was being remodeled and we only had access to one pool. they did upgrade our room but I would have cancelled as the smaller pool was crowded. The hotel trash bins were over flowing with trash, their were no towels for the pool.

We found bugs in the room as soon as we got there. They did switch the room for us, but that room had problems also. The bathroom sink leaked underneath and water all over the floor. It was not worth the money to stay there!

The rooms are very dark, even with the lights they have. Are wood shades was not working well and the bathroom barn door would not stay closed. Heads up to the people who need an elevator to get to the second floor there is no elevator so if you can’t handle bringing your luggage up or down ask for a first floor unit.

This was our first time staying at Scottsdale Plaza Resort. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We liked the location and the grounds. The king suite was very nice and loved the peacefulness. Nice to be able to drive right up to our front door. Renovations are happening to half of the property and to be finished by late fall. This did not affect our stay overall. With that being said, some of the furniture in our suite are in need of being replaced. The sofa and side chair have visible signs of heavy wear and tear. The liquid bath soap dispenser was completely empty. The other dispenser was almost empty as well. The WiFi was down overnight and could not use the televisions or the room phones. By the following day service had improved but the phones were still not working in our suite. This made it difficult to contact the front desk for assistance. The king suites are spacious. The location made it perfect for our stay. The property is close to many restaurants, golf courses and retail stores. The staff were very gracious and helpful.

at check in was fantastic as well as the bell hop who showed us to our room. Check in was quick and easy. The room is dated, I see why they are remodeling. It's very 90's. The grounds are pretty blah, very motel like. Our Casita had an adjoining door to an additional Casita and the people in it were loud and woke us up very early all weekend. The Casita pool was okay, hot though not refreshing. They did have plenty of towels, secured umbrellas, and decent lounge chairs. It was nice having the room close to the Casita so we could get our own food and drinks since things were closed due to the remodel.

Staff was friendly, the security/valet man was very informative. There is a lot of construction going on. I will not I was given a 24/7 service desk number to text and when I did during the duration of staff just ask for more hand towel because 2 Ba but only 2 hand towels was given was odd, I did not get accommodated. I even went to the front desk and was told security would bring some by and no one showed up. Other than that, stay was good.

Loved it here. The welcome was great even though they are going thru renovations they couldn't be more helpful at accommodating us. The place was quiet and clean and easy to walk around. Loved the Waymo driverless taxis everywhere. Took several. Felt super safe even though all my friends freaked out lol. I need to come back next year so will be staying here definitely.

Front desk staff lady was unfriendly, and rude. I was shocked they charged full price for a resort fee when they had no amenities. Everything is shut down. Worker's would start outside with at 7am, they were very loud and came into our back patio without alerting us, this was not appropriate.

The bellmen were exceptional and went above and beyond unlike the front desk personnel who lacked knowledge and people skills. This was at least our fifth visit to this property, and they never acknowledged it or offered us an upgrade or asked where we would like to be located on property. And when it came to requesting a late checkout, our request fell on deaf ears…unlike every other visit the staff would do anything and everything to accommodate us.

I have stayed here many times over the past few years and my previous 2 stays were not pleasant namely my most recent stay last week. Staff was rude and not helpful. I had to move rooms twice just like I had to on my stay before my most recent trip due to issues with there only being hot water in the shower. After sending an email to management it took them almost a week to reply to me and barely addressing my dissatisfaction. They have lost me as a customer simple due to the lack of consideration with the multiple issues I experienced. FYI - I wasn't even looking for a refund or any type of credit. Too bad management couldn't be bothered.

The property is located in a convenient part of Scottsdale. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. However, the name “resort“ seems to be a bit of a reach. The property is extremely large, but the buildings and signage and the hotel lobby seemed outdated and in need of some renovation. It was nice to have water refilling stations throughout the property, but the machines themselves looked cracked and poorly kept up. We wanted to use the fitness center, and were very surprised at how small it was given the size of the property. There were only three treadmills, and two were in use when we arrived. I went to check out the third one and found it was out of service. Two treadmills for a resort and villas is unacceptable. Tennis courts and pool were nice. Bed incredibly comfortable.

The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and very helpful. Whether it was a waiter, front desk staff or bell hop everyone was looking for any opportunity to provide quality service for us. The hotel is very quiet and the room was clean upon arrival. The only thing I didn't like was the location of the hotel because it was not super walkable to the old town area and the shuttle only offered service between 12-8 pm (which was not super convenient).

It felt like you were staying within a little town. While we were there they were working on the main area so one pool was closed but there were still 2 other pools and shopping is very close. The casino was very close and lots to see within short distance

Though close to a very busy street, it was very quiet. Sadden that bar and restaurant were unavailable but they had advised me prior to arrival about upgrades being done which look very nice. Restaurants and shopping close. Staff was awesome. Rooms very clean. Gym very nice and very clean. I would do another staycation with them.
