This hotel is real close to Mt Rushmore. You can see it from the parking lot. The hotel is close enough to Keystone that it is an easy walk to the restaurants and stores. And a quick trip over to Mt Rushmore. Like 5 minutes.

My stay here happened to be on the last weekend of the season but the staff was still as helpful & as friendly as could be. The location is great for taking a stroll into town & ditching the car for a bit. At checkout, I told a nice young lady that I enjoyed my stay with a tiny exception (a lightning bug, or so I thought, in the pm & then another in the am). She knew exactly what I was referring to and assured me that the pine beetles were harmless and that they find a way in no matter what. Overall, I was pleased with my choice.

Room had stink bugs in it....that time of year when the little critters are looking for a warm place to hibernate. They found our room. Dozens of them were in the hall as well.
