The resort wasn't very nice I was however disappointed that the water was out of all the water features around the property. We were not made aware before booking that this would be the case. Otherwise the property was nice.

The grounds and buildings are stunning but the service isn't close to 5 star. Rude reception and bar staff, long waits for service, constantly broken elevators and broken pool tiles that cut your feet - definitely not worth the money.

Ein schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal und toller Ausstattung. Der Zugang zum ansonsten wunderbaren Pool war leider oft unmöglich da Gäste hier schon vor dem Frühstück Liegen reservieren, das hätte Ich in einem Hotel dieser Klasse nicht erwartet.

This hotel is truly spectacular. If you're looking for a tropical getaway without traveling too far, this place offers an immersive experience with towering palm trees and lush, warm-climate plants throughout the property. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve been transported to Mexico. The rooms are spacious, with large bedrooms and private terraces that provide a peaceful retreat. The hotel itself is vast, and it takes about a day to get familiar with the layout. Despite its size, it remains a quiet and relaxing place to stay. Amenities are impressive, including a heated pool and two beautifully designed buffet restaurants. The upstairs bar is equally stunning, with stylish decor that enhances the ambiance. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the well-equipped gym, though it would be even better if it opened at 6 AM for early risers. However, the food quality is inconsistent. While some meals, like the steaks, are excellent, other items—such as oil-soaked fries—miss the mark. The buffet food is often served cold, which is disappointing. The biggest letdown, though, was the cleanliness of the plates. On four out of five days, I encountered plates that were visibly dirty, making me hesitant to use them—something I wouldn’t expect at a hotel of this caliber. Really beautiful hotel with few amazing swimming pools, great restaurants and located close to the beach. Really friendly staff and very helpful receptionists. Excellent food served in every restaurant and great selection, including buffet. Hotel very clean and nice and spacious rooms. The only downside is that there is no parking and we had to park on the road about 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Some parking spaces on the road in front of the hotel but never available. During our stay majority of visitors were from Germany so Sun loungers were usually all reserved at early hours in the morning…very annoying. Also people smoking by the swimming pools even though they are non smoking areas. Designated smoking areas are available near every pool but some people are just ignorant, inconsiderate of others and rude!

Amazing facilities - what a place. If you want a luxury stay that’s child friendly and has delicious food then here’s your place. We stayed half board and it was more than enough for us, I think full board would have been too much if anything! Trying to find fault I would say the area doesn’t have a great deal of places to go, but lovely shops along the beach front and places to go, just not loads to explore. But there is more than enough to keep you happy at the resort with plenty of different pools and activities - if that’s the type of holiday you’re looking for it’s absolutely spot on!

Had a wonderful time for 10 days at Baobab ❤️ unfortunately there was a lot of ups and downs… both my son and partner got sick from the food served in the lunch and dinner buffets some of the days.. we had to go out to eat after that. Maybe some expired food? Or a lack in hygiene? Don’t know.. Next time we will not have all included. My son, one year old, also hade some difficulties eating - he's not used to eating on holidays, in a big room with a lot of other people, and he had a plate with food he had barely touched. One older woman who worked in the restaurant rolled her eyes at us when cleaning the table… that’s not a good feeling when living at a five star hotel, when you try everything to get your one year old to eat. Not very welcoming.. also, some of the servants also asked for us to pay almost immediately when we had our drinks. Once I just had gotten to the table after having one fork with food in my mouth, and my son on my other arm, having to dig out my purse for my credit card. When on vacation you really just want to relax, and this for me was stressful.. Most of the staff was very nice and welcoming, and especially Sabine ❤️❤️ The whole resort is a paradise!! We loved the pools, the sun beds, the lifeguards that helped us with the parasol every day. The housekeeping was excellent, with clean room and fresh towels every day 😀 Great arrangements for children with children’s show, Panchi and so on. My son loved it! We will be back 😎🏝️🌞

Das Hotel ist hervorragend, das Personal sehr freundlich, insgesamt sehr sehr sauber. Aufgrund der tollen Vegetation: Palmen, Bäume, Pflanzen ist die Anlage so schön angelegt. Leider waren Mitte März sehr viele Kleinkinder im Resort, der Speisesaal ist sehr dunkel und könnte von den Tischen und vom Boden etwas renoviert werden

Som min søn siger; man føler sig vigtig og som noget særligt. Det var en fantastisk oplevelse, fra ankomst til afgang. Det var en oplevelse at besøge hotellet. Dejlig mad, dejligt værelse, utroligt venligt personale, man bemærkede næsten ikke rengøringspersonalet og der var rent. Ingen unødvendig støj og ro omkring poolområderne. Vi håber at kunne besøge hotellet igen en anden gang.

Although the property looks well-maintained, we found quite a few insects and cockroaches in our room (maybe nothing to do with the cleanliness of the hotel but its proximity to the the outside environment) Staff were friendly and accommodating. Desing and finishing touches are outstanding. Overal, a good but not perfect experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and I must say, it was far from the luxury experience we were promised with our full board package. The first thing we noticed was the uncomfortable bed, which made it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. The room itself was outdated and in desperate need of maintenance, which gave it a neglected feel. Cleanliness was another major concern. It seemed like the housekeeping staff were not doing their job properly, as we found dirt and dust in various corners of our room. To make matters worse, there were not enough towels provided, and we had to ask multiple times for additional ones. Also very cold room over night with no heating at all in whole hotel. The food was a significant disappointment as well. The variety was limited, and the quality was poor, leaving us longing for decent meals. We felt like we were receiving minimum service throughout our stay, and it certainly did not live up to the standards of a 5-star hotel. To top it all off, the swimming pool was freezing cold. Despite the hotel claiming the temperature was 23 degrees, it felt closer to 15 degrees, making it impossible to enjoy a swim. Overall, our experience was far from what we expected from a hotel of this caliber. I cannot recommend this place if you are looking for a true 5-star experience. Save your money and look elsewhere!

Servicen och maten absolut 5stjärnig. Dock var rummen slitna och lite svartmögel i duschen. Påtalade detta för hotellet och vi blev erbjudna ett nytt rum men vi skulle inte stanna mer än 4 dagar och avböjde. Drickan ohyggligt dyr fast man har helpension. 3,5 euro för 237 ml cola zero. Nu bor man inte på detta hotellet för att det är billigt men priserna tog lite udden av upplevelsen.
Servicen och maten absolut 5stjärnig. Dock var rummen slitna och lite svartmögel i duschen. Påtalade detta för hotellet och vi blev erbjudna ett nytt rum men vi skulle inte stanna mer än 4 dagar och avböjde. Drickan ohyggligt dyr fast man har helpension. 3,5 euro för 237 ml cola zero. Nu bor man inte på detta hotellet för att det är billigt men priserna tog lite udden av upplevelsen.

Feels like you’re entering a White Lotus set. Check-in was seamless, welcome drink upon arrival and you immediately get a gorgeous earthy scent throughout the hotel. Rooms are spacious and well laid out. Several pools to take in the sun. Only recommendation would be to transform 1 or 2 of the pools to adults only.

Lovely hotel, in beautiful grounds. Lots to do. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants along the sea front. Only fault was rooms had a musky smell. Also we did have to move rooms because our first room was located next to a heavily planted bamboo area that the birds roosted in. The noise as sun rose in the morning was unreal. Moved to a room that was not near a heavily planted area and was fine.

Ill start off by saying this is NOT a 5 Star Hotel. 4 at best. I booked a Superior Double Room, Terrace Room. Later switched to a different room due to the noise outside at 5:30 am every morning. (BIRD GARDEN) Pros: -The pool area was very beautiful, nice pool for children and adults. 10/10 -Cleaned room everyday. Cons: - Rooms are old, NOT sound proof, and have bad lighting. -Shower area was dark and slippery. -Amenities smelled like chemicals. -WASPS/BEES everywhere around pool. -Food was mediocre and quite expensive. -Service for drinks/food was often slow and rude.

Todo empezó con Ariadna que nos atendió muy bien en la recepción y nos ofreció un coctel de bienvenida que estaba muy frío y delicioso, la verdad es que me quedo corta en palabras para describir este maravilloso lugar, en Baobab no vas a tener oportunidad de aburrirte empezando por las 6 piscinas que son espectaculares y ni hablar de las decoraciones de todas las instalaciones con un ambiente Africano de todo mi gusto, las actividades diarias más los shows nocturnos son re wow, con respecto a los desayunos había de todoooo mucha variedad de frutas tanto ya picadas como enteras, panes, huevos en varias presentaciones, vegetales(tomates, champiñones) frutos secos, yogures, jugos, agua, leches, cereales, dulces (tortas) muchos quesos, jamones. En fin no nos dieron los días para probar todo lo que había en el buffet. Todos los del staff siempre con una sonrisa y dispuestos ayudarte en lo que fuese necesario, también algo muy pero muy conveniente que nos gustó es que dentro del resort hay un mini supermercado abierto hasta las 9pm o 10 no recuerdo la hora del cierre, la limpieza tanto del cuarto como de las instalaciones 10/10. Lo único negativo que igual y no es culpa del resort si no más bien de las personas que no respetan las normal fue que veías desde muy temprano la mayoría de las camas de sol ya con las toallas encima obviamente ”reservando” las mejor ubicadas y llegaban a ocuparlas después de medio día. En fin esto tampoco fue algo que opacara mis días de vacaciones.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate me after a missed flight. They did all they could to make my stay comfortable. The resort itself is one of the nicest I’ve stayed in. Huge rooms. Great breakfast. Highly recommend this place.

Terrible service—this hotel shouldn’t be rated as five-star (or a VIP hotel on Expedia). The staff was unhelpful, the facilities were poorly maintained, and the overall experience was far below expectations. Definitely not worth the price! I’ll never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for quality service and a true luxury experience.

Vuelvo cada año, varias veces por una única razón, sus piscinas. He recomendando en varias ocasiones este hotel a familiares y amigos y creo que no volveré a hacerlo por varias razones : 1. El servicio de desayunos no está para nada a la altura de un hotel 5 estrellas. Servicio desagradable, escasez de productos y oscuridad 2. Experiencia de check-in nefasta, terriblemente lenta y staff poco detallista 3. Es un hotel para niños , si esto no te importa o es lo que buscas está bien. Asimismo he notado el hotel más descuidado Ie otras veces. Mi habitación no tenía kettle. En definitiva , lo único por lo que escogería este hotel es las piscinas. Great hotel for a week relaxing round the pools. Architecture and design of the hotel really added to our enjoyment. Pools were the highlight - something to suit everyone, plenty of natural shade, lots of sunbeds. Junior Suite was spacious, with comfortable bed, quiet effective air con, smart bathroom and plenty of storage space. "Unique" package was worth it in particular for the calm, relaxed breakfast area and free cava at lunchtimes. Meloneras resort has a pleasant promenade with shops/restaurants and access to a long sandy beach.

Wunderschöne Anlage und sehr guter Service, das Frühstück war gut, es ist allerdings fast wie in anderen Unterkünften auf Gran Canaria, hebt sich nicht sehr ab aber man findet alles was man braucht. Die Animation ist sehr freundlich und für Kinder gerade abends sehr liebevoll gemacht. Am Tag ist eher weniger los was uns nicht störte da der Kinderpool uns reichte. Zimmer sind gut und Betten bequem, Roomservice immer erreichbar und zuvorkommend. Lage des Hotels naher aller Shoppinggelegenheiten, daher toll. Zum Strand etwas weiter aber bei der Anlage wollte wir nicht so oft zum Strand. Wie gesagt die Anlage ist das absolute Highlight! Sehr geschmackvoll.

Really beautiful hotel with few amazing swimming pools, great restaurants and located close to the beach. Really friendly staff and very helpful receptionists. Excellent food served in every restaurant and great selection, including buffet. Hotel very clean and nice and spacious rooms. The only downside is that there is no parking and we had to park on the road about 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Some parking spaces on the road in front of the hotel but never available. During our stay majority of visitors were from Germany so Sun loungers were usually all reserved at early hours in the morning…very annoying. Also people smoking by the swimming pools even though they are non smoking areas. Designated smoking areas are available near every pool but some people are just ignorant, inconsiderate of others and rude!

Really cool and beautiful place. Excellent service, and clean everywhere. The food is good enough, but not more than that. The walls are extremely thin, so if your neighbours have a screaming baby, you're in trouble. We were lucky in that regard. Be warned; Full board/all inclusive is somewhat misleading as it only includes food in the buffet restaurants, and no drinks at lunch or dinner. All in all a good stay, and we would probably book again.

Tout était très bien. 2 reprocjes quand même : 1= un reproche que l'on peut faire est le bruit des oiseaux qui dorment dans le patio contenant des bambous. A partir de 5 heures du matin il n'est plus possible de dormir tant les oiseaux font du bruit. 2- il nest pas normal de ne pas pouvoir a oir de l'eau au repas sans devoir la payer. Séjour magique quand même.

Bra och centralt placerat hotell. Nära till det mesta men avskiljt. Många fina och stora pooler. Ibland upplevdes servicepersonalen något irriterad och inte så tillmötesgående som man hade velat. Hände ett par gånger under vistelsen, samtidigt som många var fantastiska. Sist men inte minst, att inte kunna få riktigt kaffe typ cappuccino, flat white, osv är under all kritik på ett 5 stjärnigt hotell. Att ha en automatisk kaffemaskin som serverar pulverlikt kaffe är uruselt.

Das Lopesan Baobab ist nach wie vor ein wunderschönes Hotel, in dem wir gerne (und zum wiederholten mal) unseren Urlaub verbracht haben. Postiv: Die Architektur und das überaus angenehme Ambiente, das ausserordentlich freundliche Personal und die ungewöhnliche Pool-Landschaft. Nicht mehr ganz so positiv: Die Leistung der Küche (Halbpension) hat im Vergleich zu unseren vorherigen Aufenthalten sehr deutlich nachgelassen. Das Abendessen bietet wenig Abwechslung und es wird überdeutlich, dass an den Rohstoffen (im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren) gespart wurde. Das Angebot passt nicht mehr zu einem 5-Sterne-Hotel. Dies ist umso bedauerlicher, weil sich das Baobab kulinarisch bislang von den anderen Lopesan-Luxushotels in der direkten Nachbarschaft postitiv abhob und wir uns gerade deshalb nach Aufenthalten im Costa Meloneras und im Villa del Conde Nuevo wieder für dieses Haus entschieden haben. Leider spart das Management auch an der Erhaltung des Hauses. Aufgeplatzte Polster, fleckige Teppichböden und abblätternde Tapeten passen nicht zum 5-Sterne-Anspruch.

This is a nice hotel, but we also stayed at an other Lopesan hotel in GC and it was a nightmare. A lot of cockroach in the pool, room and everywhere. The food was also really bad and it was dirty. The hotel is Lopesan interclub Atlantic.

Had a perfect week's stay. All the staff were so friendly, helpful, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Breakfast was fantastic - we loved the pancakes, fresh fruit, and eggs. The pools are beautiful and as the main lazy river winds around the beautifully planted grounds there's always somewhere fairly private and quiet to lay out. The bars are very fairly priced, with great drinks. Housekeeping quick and great attention to detail. Little details like the access to shower room after you've checked out are so helpful! We don't want to leave!
