Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbia - East Elkridge, Jessup an IHG Hotel

Great experience. Would stay again

For the purpose it served it was fine, but it was lackluster compared to many other hotels we’ve stayed at. No pad and paper, no coffee maker in the room, and had to return towels before getting clean ones to the room

Everything was ok. The remodeling wasn't in the way. I haven't been to a hotel where it was peaceful.

This Holiday Inn Express has seen better days. When we arrived, we were informed that the hotel had recently experienced flooding, which meant all of the accessible guest rooms were unavailable. My husband has mobility issues, and it would have been nice to have a heads-up on this situation. Unfortunately, the indoor pool and fitness room were also closed because of the damage. To the hotel's credit, they had partnered with a local gym so guests could still work out, but there was no alternative for the pool. That was especially disappointing because we had booked multiple rooms during a large lacrosse tournament held in record-high temperatures. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was so the teenagers in our group could cool off and relax in the pool after spending long, exhausting days competing outdoors. The staff was courteous and did their best under the circumstances, but we wish we had been notified of these closures before our arrival so we could have made an informed decision about our accommodations. The location is excellent for local sporting events, and we hope the hotel uses this opportunity to fully repair and refresh the property. With some investment in maintenance and amenities, it has the potential to once again be a great place for families and teams traveling to the area.

Great staff. Building appears to be going through renovations. Wifi did not work in my room. No curtains, just blinds too. Room smell a bit of smoke. Very safe location, just not the nicest stay.
