We really enjoyed our stay. The food was exceptional as well as service. Our only complaint would be the outdoor and indoor pool areas. I understand it’s off season but solar heaters would go a long way to making the outdoor pool usable. The indoor was cool and not very inviting. Everything else was amazing.

We stayed one night as we really wanted to wake up to the views. The views were unbelievable and breakfast buffet was perfect! I would highly recommend staying here for one night. I think more than 2 nights might get a bit boring. There’s a tuktuk ride so ask for the timetable when you checkin. Jacuzzi was cold - same temperature as the indoor pool so that wasn’t great. Other than that all great!

Ein 5 Sterne Hotel, das ein klein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist, mit einer einmaligen Lage an der Steilküste der Algarve. Carvoeiro ist zu Fuß in 5 min zu erreichen. Genau vor der Tür verläuft der Wanderweg entlang der Küste. Das Hotel hat keinen eigenen wirklich nutzbaren Strand (zu steil und etwas sportlicher Zugang). Die Unterkunft selber besticht durch ein wirklich ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbüffet und sehr freundliches Personal. Weniger gut sind die extrem kleine Sauna (max. 3 Personen), sehr kleiner Außenpool der von Möven übervölkert war (verschmutzt mit Federn und Exkrementen), geschlossene Sky-Bar ( das war aber wohl dem Saisonende geschuldet….wir haben auch nicht den vollen Preis bezahlt!). Insgesamt toller Aufenthalt in einem schönen Hotel.

We had a great stay at Tivoli. The hotel has beautiful views over the bay and I would recommend getting a sea view room. The breakfast is also delicious and lots of options. The staff are very attentive and friendly. 10 min walk down into Carverio and lots of nice restaurants nearby. The one restaurant in the hotel is also definitely worth a visit. The gym is open 24/7 and is very nice and well equipped. My only points of improvement are that the air con in our room was not strong enough and the mini bar fridge was also not cold enough. Also they had a wedding on the friday evening which takes place in the sky bar and is very loud for all the surrounding rooms - whilst not necessarily a problem as it ended around 11pm there was no pre warning or communication from staff about how late the wedding would go on to this would have been an easy thing to do and would allow people to plan their evening better.

For the pros - close walk to restaurants and Carveiro Beach, there is also a hotel shuttle that can take you to the main part of town and Marinha Beach, and nice views from our room. Now for the cons - it started with the cleanliness of our room when we checked in, it was clear the bathroom (shower, toilet and mirror) had not been clean, there was also long black hair in the bathroom and on the floor, and the mirror at the entry way of the room was very clearly not cleaned. They sent someone up to fix the issue and the lady simply took a wet cloth and wiped the mirror and shower and left. I had never experienced anything like it, especially for a 5 star hotel I was really disappointed. If I could see all of that mess, what did they not clean that I just didn't see. You can also tell the pool area and balconies were started to get very worn, broken tiles and rust stains everywhere. Lastly, DO NOT EAT AT SKY BAR. We spent just under 2 hours at the restaurant waiting on our food and our waitress took our order 3 different times and kept asking us what we ordered. The food was good when we finally received it but very over priced. It was actually laughable the horrible service we received. We heard from others that they experienced the same horrible service. Would not stay again. I hate to be a person to complain but for a 5 star they need to do better. It was definitely not a highlight of our trip, to say the least.

O Hotel tem potencial para ser aquilo que ele vende: um resort de luxo 5 estrelas, porém não o é, e não está perto de ser. O mau cheiro em todos os corredores e quartos, os restaurantes são de nível mediano para baixo (o AZR serviu um macarrão ao molho branco com presunto como se carbonara fosse, o the one tenta impressionar na montagem dos pratos mas peca no sabor - na falta dele). No restaurante e no nosso quarto verificamos a existência de baratas, a camareira deixou a porta de vidro da sacada do nosso quarto aberta, sujeitando que outro hóspede pudesse entrar nele. O ar condicionado do quarto faz muito barulho, a pressão dos chuveiros é inexistente - mal cai água Tudo eh muito caro e a qualidade não é o que prometem. A vista é linda, o serviço de recepção é atencioso, mas é só, infelizmente.

Although we asked for a quiet room NOT under the restaurant (previous experience) they allocated a room under the restaurant on level 4…. So asked for a different room….then alocated 624….to floor. The room was so small there was only a 6” gap between the bed corner and the desk. Tiny balcony and bathroom was tiny too. Plug sockets didn’t work, safe had a flat battery and shower extremely pathetic. On the plus side the super king bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. Basically they had downgraded our room from what we paid for but apparently the ‘hotel was full’. However it beats being woken at 6.00 by restaurant banging and chairs scraping. Lunch by the pool was extremely slow over an hour for food to arrive on each day we are there. However again on the plus side all the staff at the hotel were lovely special mention to the gorgeous Ana and Miriam

Hotel staff very professional and view is excellent, but the AC in our room refused to work and it stubbornly remained at 24 degree Celsius (75F. ) at night and we couldn't sleep well because the room was too hot. We had to call the hotel twice and waited for about an hour to get an engineer but he couldn't fix it.

Phenomenal location at the cliffs. Nice breakfast. Front desk and breakfast staff friendly and helpful. Nice view from room but beds were uncomfortable. Musty smell, sometimes septic like, was in the bathroom. But we didn’t let these issues spoil our stay.

A lovely hotel with excellent staff, despite a flood issue in the bathroom first night it was dealt with and cleaned up quickly and without fuss whilst we had a drink in the bar. I must say though the terrace room with balcony has a pretty boring aspect, if you can book a sea view room, it will be worth it.

It is a beautiful and scenic hotel with wonderful views that is large enough to find quiet spaces if you are an adult without kids but also seems to accommodate children very well. Breakfast is excellent and the staff at the hotel are friendly and attentive. The concierge Ines was so helpful if arranging boat excursions, dinner reservations and car rentals. The property is walking distance to town and also to many other beaches. An excellent choice for staying in this area

The service was poor during breakfast. It was slow and we were not sure if it was just them ignoring us because we were not caucasian because everyone else around us was being served so promptly. At some point we got so tired of waiting, we just took the pot of coffee and served ourselves, nothing wrong with that its just a little upsetting when you see how they treated the other guests versus my family.

We had an unforgettable stay at Tivoli Resort, thanks to the incredible customer service. I especially want to thank Mariana and Luminita at the guest service desk. During our stay, I had a sudden health issue that required an emergency visit. Since we don’t speak Portuguese, Luminita immediately called multiple hospitals on my behalf, spending over an hour until she found a private hospital in Faro that could see me. She even lent me her personal phone so I could reach my insurance company in Canada. The next day, when I needed a follow-up appointment, Mariana kindly helped me again by contacting the insurance company to make sure everything was approved. Later, when we checked out, we realized there was a mistake on our flight ticket. Mariana patiently contacted the airline and airport until the issue was solved. The service here was beyond exceptional—every staff member we met was professional, patient, and truly guest-oriented. The resort itself is stunning, with the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen at a hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with high-quality food and even champagne to enjoy. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

The view was absolutely breathtaking and why we booked the hotel. It was better than we were expecting. The hotel itself shows that it is near the ocean, some peeling wallpaper, a smell in the hallways, some straining on curtains. The staff was lovely! The food options were also very good. I would stay again.

We were impressed with the hotel and staff in general. A big thank you to house keeping and porter Ricardo. However, On arrival at the hotel which was more than half empty (winter bookings I assumed)and after asking reception about availability for a possible upgrade, we were informed that it would cost another €70 for the privilege. I declared then that were entitled to a free upgrade if one was available, which fell on deaf ears. The reception stated that a large group were expected to block book rooms over the next few days. We were then showed a room opposite the car park which was not what we expected or resembled the one we had booked. Therefore, I reluctantly paid the difference to be upgraded if that's all they could offer. If the Tivoli hotel wish to be 5* hotel then they need to accommodate and recognise Hotel.com VIP status of regular clients who offer an honest review with great service.

We had a 3 night break over the Christmas period. The welcome was warm and friendly. The room was comfy, clean with a fantastic view to sea. The buffet meal was a bit disappointing, no turkey left at 2000, and no more coming out. It was ok, just ok The staff were very pleasant in that restaurant. The following night Christmas Day we booked for a special meal in The One, this was a disappointment. We asked for a good table as it was a birthday of one of our party. We didn’t get that, wasn’t a very nice table at all. Our view was of scruffy cupboards. The meal was ala carte, I had soup and oxtail ravioli Soup delicious ravioli just tepid in temperature My husband had a steak which he said was nice and the birthday girl had fish, which she said was very nice We had one dessert, apple tartin with ice cream The wine waiter was good had a good personality

We stayed at Tivoli Carvoeiro to celebrate milestone birthdays and our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking, and waking up each morning to the sound of the ocean was so peaceful. The whole atmosphere is calm and relaxing—whether you’re by the pool, enjoying the fine dining, or just sitting on the balcony taking in the sea. At the same time, there are plenty of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like sunset cocktails at the Sky Bar (highly recommend!) and walking straight from the hotel to the boardwalk. The food and drinks were great, especially breakfast on the terrace and sunset fine dining with that view, and the staff were kind and attentive throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a place to both celebrate something special and truly unwind, this is it. Tivoli Carvoeiro gave us the perfect mix of relaxation, luxury, and unforgettable memories.

This is a very fine hotel, situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean and cliffs. Service is tops. The free breakfast buffet is excellent, including fresh breads, fresh fruits, deli items, omelet bar, champagne, in addition to more traditional entries. The buffet staff is tops as well. A short walk to several restaurants and cafes with a variety of cuisines.

Parabenizo o garçom Lourival que nos atendeu muito bem no restaurante da piscina. Deu boas sugestões, atencioso, educado e simpático. No café da manhã, as garçonetes fazem muito barulho, arrastam mesa, falam alto. Precisam orienta-las melhor. Serviço no SKY bar e restaurante japonês muito bom. Comida do The one precisa ser melhor preparada. Comemos muito melhor no Maré Bistrô do que no The One. No geral, gostamos muito do hotel.

The view from the ocean-view room was magnificent. The outdoor pools were clean and there were enough sun loungers on the spacious grounds. The indoor pool with its built-in jacuzzi was barely used and was an ideal space for a quiet swim. Staff were pleasant, efficient and appropriately friendly. The SKY BAR offers the most spectacular view of the ocean. In the evenings it was the perfect place for sundowners. The only negative was the food served in the 5th floor bar area. At best it was mediocre. I asked for a sandwich with rare steak. What I received was some grey meat in a bun without any dressing. (A Burger King or a McDonald's would have surpassed this!) You'd find better food in Carvoeira town. All in all, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

You are definitely paying for the view at this property- which is stunning! The room was nice, although it would have been ideal to have the deck with glass panels as opposed to a cement wall which limits the view. The service is very all over the place- sometimes we were attended to quickly and efficiently and other times we had to beg for a drink. We didn’t have a great experience at the Sushi restaurant. The food was unreal! But I was served the wrong wine, we were served other people’s meals/things we didn’t order then we’re told we were lying about what we ordered- so much so that the waitress brought a hand written bill over. Sour taste in my mouth in terms of service at the hotel- a five star hotel should have quality, well-rounded service. There is not much in terms of food offerings that are not incredibly fancy and overpriced. We walked to the village for a delicious meal instead. Overall, I would stay here again but expect better service for the price you’re paying.
