Check-in was slow. Only one person at 4 pm. No ice available so took 20 mins to get ice. Pet fee of $100 is too high. $50 would be more reasonable. Limited parking and only available on the street unless you pay for $35 valet. Again, too high for parking. Otherwise nice room, clean, friendly staff.

The elevator was out of order during our stay, so the room was changed last minute. With the elevator being down, it would have been nice to receive some assistance with getting my bags to the room. The room had some issues as well. The shower was clogged to the point where there were several inches of standing water. When I asked for help with the shower, the staff were less than friendly and at first gave a quote to repair the shower that meant it would not work properly during our entire stay. Luckily, they did fix it by midday. The bathroom plumbing made loud, strange noises that woke me up during the night. The morning team seemed short-staffed as when calling for valet, there was no answer and it took longer than normal to get assistance, about 15 minutes. Positives - the evening valet person was incredibly friendly and responsive and check-out process was quick.

First I asked to be change to a ground floor unit and was denied. I was given a unit with extremely steep steps witch I could not climb so we cut our stay short and went to a different hotel. Second There was no Wi-Fi available due to poor signal. I spoke to the staff 4 different people and different times and they could care less. Third Is that I will be disputing the the charges Expedia quoted me $308 for 2 nights and I have been charged $500 for 1 night

At first we were a little hesitant about the location. But it turned out to be fine. We were able to walk to Forsyth Park. The suite was nice, the bed was super comfortable. The outside area with pool and courtyard was very nice and relaxing. Our first night we went in the pool and had a blast. The second someone had an accident in the pool, so it was closed and they drained and cleaned it. Breakfast was good. The first morning there was only one girl restocking and it was a Sunday so very busy and had to wait for more food to be brought out. But the second morning was smoother. Valet was convenient and my car was safe in a gated lot. Overall had a pleasant stay!

Loved the full kitchen, could be a lot cleaner though. Showering was an issue as the tub did not drain adequately fast. I am not sure valet packing should be mandatory, I prefer to pack my own car thanks. Loved the front desk ladies just wonderful.

Staff was wonderful. Very pleasant, always said hello and smiled. The hallway to our room needed cleaning. Our room was nice however, again, the floor was dirty. They hadn’t vacuumed, swept, or mopped the bathroom floor. There was shards of glass. Luckily, no bed bugs. I chose Residence Inn based on my experience with them in another city however, this one paled in comparison, drastically.

My husband and I had an awful experience staying at Residence Inn by Marriott Savannah Downtown. Upon checking in, there was a stench in the room. We found out there were dirty diapers in the garbage from the previous guest. The fridge smelled like fish. And the carpet was dirty. According to the photos during booking, our room should have had two windows and bright light. We got a room facing a wall with one small window and broken shades. During the day the room was as dark as a bat cave. The worst part was the bed. The mattress had zero support. Our bodies were contorted into the most unnatural positions as we sank into the mattress. We didn’t get much sleep during the 4 nights, and walked away with lower back pain. One of the main functions of any hotel is to provide a restful night of sleep. It was impossible to sleep in that mattress that desperately needs to be upgraded. There are some positives. The lobby is nice. And the hotel is at a convenient location. However we will not be back.

The public areas of the property looked amazing. The entire staff was amazing and very friendly. However, our room was run down with a badly damaged dishwasher that I doubt worked. Kitchen cabinets were beat up and all the counter tops in the room were cracked as well as a broken globe on one of the light fixtures. If not for the staff, I would have checked out.

Room 102 (avoid it) had noisy mechanical unit. Would have been impossible to sleep. No other rooms available. Had to change hotels to one a block away. Asked for a refund since I never touched a thing 5 minutes after checking jn. Denied. I was pushed off to “must talk to the manager on Monday.” Won’t return or recommend.

Front desk staff was top notch and so friendly. I love how clean and quiet the hotel is and the breakfast is good. The rooms are spacious and it's nice to have a kitchenette so we can keep a few things in the fridge and make a cup of tea. The bed is comfortable and the pillows were nice. We had an issue with the fire alarm going off twice when we first got there, but it was handled quickly. The AC unit was a little loud but worked great and didn't interrupt our sleep. It was easy to park my car near the property without having to valet and I didn't feel forced to valet.
Front desk staff was top notch and so friendly. I love how clean and quiet the hotel is and the breakfast is good. The rooms are spacious and it's nice to have a kitchenette so we can keep a few things in the fridge and make a cup of tea. The bed is comfortable and the pillows were nice. Our room was great but we traveled with a few friends and they both had multiple issues with their rooms. The lounge area downstairs was quite nice and the pool/fire pits were lovely. The parking situation is unfortunate as you must either valet park (for an extra $30/night) or self- park a few blocks away. Our experience at the front desk was wonderful and the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful but our friends who arrived later in the evening had a different experience with somewhat rude staff and unwilling to accommodate them (despite the hotel making a mistake in the room).

Just got home and had a great stay. We were told about the street parking right beside the hotel and it was free so that was nice. Area felt safe and we walked most places, even at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had booked two rooms for fellow travers and my husband and I. Only one was ready at 3:00, the other was not ready until 5:00. We got into our room and kept our friend's luggage in our room and walked around until we could all get checked in. Also, we couldn't pay for the room when we checked in because the system was down and they couldn't run our card. It was inconvenient and the desk staff (two different people) seemed unconcerned and not apologetic. These rooms were expensive, nearly $300 a night with all fees and taxes. The good news is that the breakfast was outstanding, but we learned that one of the kitchen staff had quit and all the prep was left to one woman.

We have stayed at this hotel for years because the staff are wonderful, they are pet friendly, the price is great, they offer a free full breakfast and it is in walking distance to the historic/tourist sites.

Expected more from a Bonvoy Marriott hotel. We were traveling with my elderly mom and the toilet would not flush. We asked Laura at front desk to get someone to help us. She said no one was around at that time of night and said she would have to look for a plunger. She showed up with a plastic one, which she handed to my husband. He proceeded to try to plunge and no luck. We had to wheel my mother to the front of the building at midnight, so she could go to the bathroom. I asked Laura why there was no one on site to help, and she was very rude to us. Told us she can refund us our money and we can go look for another hotel . I asked her where would we get another hotel at that hour? She said oh well there was nothing she could do, because she didn't have any rooms available. I was really shocked that an employee would treat a guest so badly! This was not a $100 dollar night hotel. She definitely should not be working in guest services!!! I did complain to the nice lady at front desk the next day, and she was very apologetic. She was shocked that we were treated that way!

Check-in was slow. Only one person at 4 pm. No ice available so took 20 mins to get ice. Pet fee of $100 is too high. $50 would be more reasonable. Limited parking and only available on the street unless you pay for $35 valet. Again, too high for parking. Otherwise nice room, clean, friendly staff.

The elevator was out of order during our stay, so the room was changed last minute. With the elevator being down, it would have been nice to receive some assistance with getting my bags to the room. The room had some issues as well. The shower was clogged to the point where there were several inches of standing water. When I asked for help with the shower, the staff were less than friendly and at first gave a quote to repair the shower that meant it would not work properly during our entire stay. Luckily, they did fix it by midday. The bathroom plumbing made loud, strange noises that woke me up during the night. The morning team seemed short-staffed as when calling for valet, there was no answer and it took longer than normal to get assistance, about 15 minutes. Positives - the evening valet person was incredibly friendly and responsive and check-out process was quick.

Front desk staff was top notch and so friendly. I love how clean and quiet the hotel is and the breakfast is good. The rooms are spacious and it's nice to have a kitchenette so we can keep a few things in the fridge and make a cup of tea. The bed is comfortable and the pillows were nice. We had an issue with the fire alarm going off twice when we first got there, but it was handled quickly. The AC unit was a little loud but worked great and didn't interrupt our sleep. It was easy to park my car near the property without having to valet and I didn't feel forced to valet.

Just got home and had a great stay. We were told about the street parking right beside the hotel and it was free so that was nice. Area felt safe and we walked most places, even at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location was within a 15 minute walk to City Market and other major attractions. Great cafe with coffee and a few pastry items right across the street as well as other restraunts close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and offered a wide variety of options. The outdoor amenities were amazing. After walking all day we sat by the pool/fire pit and was able to relax in the evenings. I'd highly recommend this property.

Our family of three loved our stay. It's located just on the edge of the historic district and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. Likewise, many great restaurants are close. The King bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of room for the pull out couch. The pool area was also very nice. Everything was designed for comfort. Staff were superb and meet our every need with a smile. I will stay here for every visit to Savannah!

At first we were a little hesitant about the location. But it turned out to be fine. We were able to walk to Forsyth Park. The suite was nice, the bed was super comfortable. The outside area with pool and courtyard was very nice and relaxing. Our first night we went in the pool and had a blast. The second someone had an accident in the pool, so it was closed and they drained and cleaned it. Breakfast was good. The first morning there was only one girl restocking and it was a Sunday so very busy and had to wait for more food to be brought out. But the second morning was smoother. Valet was convenient and my car was safe in a gated lot. Overall had a pleasant stay!

Quiet location a little off the beaten path, but a quick walk to the shopping and historic areas. It was about a 15 min walk to the river. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good and continually replenished. The staff was excellent! Everyone was pleasant, polite and helpful. Due to the weather, we did not use the pool, but it looked like it could have used some maintenance. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel. The breakfast is nice and has various options. The pool area is also great, especially with the summer heat. You do have to pay $35 for valet, which I dont love but the valet is very fast and nice. I would stay here again.

The hotel was clean and newer. The beds were very comfortable. My only complaint was the hours for breakfast. It is a tourist town on the east coast so 9am was a little early. But what made it worse, was they started breaking it down at 8:45.

Stay was great, breakfast could be longer hours and more variety. Something everyday gets old fast. Creamers for coffee and juices for kids, other than oj. There is no parking for guest except valet at 35 dollars a night. Street parking around the area doesn’t make a woman feel safe. To walk late to hotel!!!!!!
