We had a two night stay to visit the mediaeval town and found the location of the Cerise Carcassonne Sud excellent for this purpose. The carpark is very large and secure with gates closing from 9 pm. The old town is a 5 minute walk away - very do-able even in the 35 C heat. Our rooms (in block A) were very large, disabled friendly, if a little utilitarian with sparse oldish, basic furniture (no bedside tables). Air conditioning worked well, the king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was stable and controllable. Our bathroom was a fully accessible wet room and very large. Perfect for older travellers. The wifi was a bit patchy, but we understand that this was a temporary issue. The breakfast (extra cost) was reasonable - better as a Continental rather than the cooked variety. Dining in room would be possible with basic facilities (microwave, fridge, hotplate) with cutlery, crockery and a few pans provided. The hotel is on the edge of town with a pattiserie and grocery stall about 15 minutes walk along a busy road. Overall, the Cerise Carcassonne Sud was well located and comfortable. Not an expensive, luxury hotel, but probably great for families and perfect for visiting the old city.

L'hôtel avait été choisi car possédant une piscine intérieure. Toutefois, il s'avère que l'eau n'est pas chauffée. Dès le 1er jour, nous y sommes allés et le fait est qu elle n'est pas à 26 /28 ° comme l'a prétendu l'hôtesse d'accueil au moment du départ. En effet, elle m'a demandé si tout s'était bien passé. Il en ressort que nous y serions sûrement retournés sauf que ce détail est rédhibitoire

Great location to the fortified city. Overall it was a nice stay, but there was little to no soap and toilet paper, pool didn’t have any towels, and you had to take out your own trash and leave it at the edge of the property. Everything was clean but felt a little rundown. Breakfast was additional but very good. Laundry facilities on site but were 8 euros per load.

Très bon accueil, logement impeccable tant sur les équipements mis à disposition (Climatisation, sèche-cheveux, oreillers supplémentaires, etc...), que de la propreté. Parking sécurisé, piscine de bonne dimension pour pouvoir faire quelques longueurs. Petit déjeuner copieux avec possibilité d'être pris en terrasse. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

This property though simple was an excellent value. Rooms were clean. Parking was plentiful. Included breakfast was very good. Easy walk to the fortress. The only downside was the laundry. With only one machine with a very small drum and many long-term residents, I would not count on the machine's availability. If you need to do laundry, there is a very good commercial one about a half-mile from the hotel.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Le point fort est la proximité de la cité qui est a 5 minutes de marche et la raison pour laquelle nous avons opté pour cet hébergement. Nous n'avons manqué de rien et tout était propre et spacieux en espace, même s'il est vrai que l'endroit nécessiterait un peu de rafraîchissement. Accueil courtois et serviable.
Excellent rapport qualité prix. Le point fort est la proximité de la cité qui est a 5 minutes de marche et la raison pour laquelle nous avons opté pour cet hébergement. I am not a snob, but I really did not like my stay at this place. I have never been to such a gross accommodation. There were stains on the pillows and the walls. The stains on the pillow looked like mold, but I am not too sure. The room smelled awful, I gagged every time I entered it. The only nice thing was that the staff was kind and tried to speak English.

Dommage que les photos ne correspondent pas à la réalité, en attendant à quelque chose d’un peu isolé et de verdure, en se retrouvant dans un centre entouré de bâtiments et d’immeubles. Gros problème au niveau du chauffage quand la climatisation ne permet pas de maîtriser la température de la pièce, et concernant le chauffage de la chambre, impossible de le piloter indépendamment. Idem pour le sèche, serviettes de la chambre, impossible de le contrôler indépendamment surtout gros problème quand il se déclenche tout seul en pleine nuit en train de dormir. Chambre mal isolée ment. On sent clairement le froid du sol et en plus le froid, venant des fenêtres. Et gros problème d’isolation phonique, on entend les voisins des autres chambres qui parle qui mettent de la musique ou qui font le bazar. Le canapé est pas du tout confortable, et le système BZ pour deux lits simples pour des enfants n’est pas clairement adapté avec des matelas très inconfortable pour eux. Couvertures, même pour nous pour la chambre parentale aurait été souhaitable car la couette n’est pas assez chaude. La porte de la chambre ne se ferme pas, car il est bloqué par le lit double et la porte des toilettes tape et frotte pour le toilette contre la ferme. Dommage, cette petite halte sur la route en famille n’a pas été des plus mémorables

Easy walking to Carcassonne Citee. Superior family apartment was very spacious and adequate for a stay of a few days although it did feel slightly tired in appearance. Excellent welcome from the staff.

The property was in a great location and our room had 2 views 1 of the castle and the other had lovely views. The room was a little tired but very practical. Our room no. Was 237. We had a bus stop right outside so it was cheap to get around and go to the lake. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Swimming pool area a bit tired.

Basic but more than adequate for our needs. Tired decor and simple furniture. You get what you pay for and compared to nearby hotels very reasonably priced. Large apartment with plenty of storage. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very accommodating and smoothed out some minor issues very professionally. Easy walking distance to the castle and town.

This is a basic aparthotel, it was clean but in news of refurbishment. Comfy beds and quiet, also close to medieval walls. Only get 1 towel for whole stay, 1 teabag and 1 toilet roll!!

Première nuit dans une chambre qui n’avait ni wi-fi, qui n’était pas très très convenable, niveau propreté. Mais le lendemain on nous a changé de chambre qui était plus descente. L'emplacement est top, à 8 ou 10 min même pas à pied de la cité de Carcassonne. Le parking est gratuit et sécurisé Lieu calme idéalement placé pour visiter la cité de Carcassonne. L'appartement est très propre et bien aménagé, c'est idéal pour 2 personnes la literie est confortable, il y a de l'espace dans le logement qui est fonctionnel. Très agréable, rien à redire Accueil très chaleureux du gérant et du personnel aussi. Si vous rencontrez le moindre souci le personnel fait tout pour arranger le problème et ce dans l’immédiat, c’est vraiment ce que j’ai apprécié le personnel entier est vraiment super sympathique, à l’écoute et patient vraiment bravo. Le gérant et de très bons conseils pour indiquer les coins à visiter. Je me répète, mais l'accueil est agréable et on prend le temps de vous indiquer les bonnes adresses où manger. Très sympa. Wohnung recht groß, sehr ruhig. Personal sehr aufmerksam, Hilfe und Ersatz kamen umgehend (Kühlschrank, Nachttischlampe.) Kleines Hallenbad bei 35° draußen natürlich nur kurz erfrischend. Basic but more than adequate for our needs. Tired decor and simple furniture. You get what you pay for and compared to nearby hotels very reasonably priced. Large apartment with plenty of storage. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very accommodating and smoothed out some minor issues very professionally. Easy walking distance to the castle and town.

Excellent accueil que ce soit le soir ou le matin les deux personnes très sympathiques. L'appartement grand et confortable, la cuisine ça reste une kitchenette avec le strict minimum nous ne sommes resté qu'une nuit et nous étions 3 donc pour nous cela suffisait. La piscine est un + vraiment agréable. Seul point négatif même si c'est plutôt bien insonorisé ça ne l'est pas totalement non plus surtout qu'un homme s'est mis à hurler sous nos fenêtres à 2h du matin mais ça n'est pas la responsabilité de l'hébergement

We had a two night stay to visit the mediaeval town and found the location of the Cerise Carcassonne Sud excellent for this purpose. The carpark is very large and secure with gates closing from 9 pm. The old town is a 5 minute walk away - very do-able even in the 35 C heat. Our rooms (in block A) were very large, disabled friendly, if a little utilitarian with sparse oldish, basic furniture (no bedside tables). Air conditioning worked well, the king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was stable and controllable. Our bathroom was a fully accessible wet room and very large. Perfect for older travellers. The wifi was a bit patchy, but we understand that this was a temporary issue. The breakfast (extra cost) was reasonable - better as a Continental rather than the cooked variety. Dining in room would be possible with basic facilities (microwave, fridge, hotplate) with cutlery, crockery and a few pans provided. The hotel is on the edge of town with a pattiserie and grocery stall about 15 minutes walk along a busy road. Overall, the Cerise Carcassonne Sud was well located and comfortable. Not an expensive, luxury hotel, but probably great for families and perfect for visiting the old city.

Great place near the old city. Room was huge, as was the bathroom. It’s not fancy but it was functional and clean. The pool was great for the kids. Didn’t use the kitchenette facilities as we were only there 1 night but they would’ve been handy for a longer stay.

La atención del personal de recepción es excelente, al hotel le falta mantenimiento y está bastante viejo. Las cortinas estaban rotas y la asentadera del wc medio suelta. Respecto al desayuno, no era extensa la variedad pero era de calidad. Muy rica la bollería y los brioches. What the accomodation lacks in modernity, it more than makes up for in size of rooms, cleanliness, the MOST comfortable beds, facilities (including a pool and steam room) and self catering amenities. But what sets this place apart, is the most incredible breakfast - we have never had such choice and quality!!! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff also deserves a big mention. Would definitely look at returning!

Rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Shower wouldn’t be great for anyone with mobility issues. Shower wall did not appear very clean and water went on the floor. Close to the castle and there is a good bakery walking distance. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was alright with eggs, bacon and pastries.

Great location to the fortified city. Overall it was a nice stay, but there was little to no soap and toilet paper, pool didn’t have any towels, and you had to take out your own trash and leave it at the edge of the property. Everything was clean but felt a little rundown. Breakfast was additional but very good. Laundry facilities on site but were 8 euros per load.

This property though simple was an excellent value. Rooms were clean. Parking was plentiful. Included breakfast was very good. Easy walk to the fortress. The only downside was the laundry. With only one machine with a very small drum and many long-term residents, I would not count on the machine's availability. If you need to do laundry, there is a very good commercial one about a half-mile from the hotel.
