La Terrace Oceanfront

The view would have been great, but there is construction that we were not told about, so the “terrace” had a an orange construction fence across it. It’s above a restaurant and a store, so it’s very loud until 11pm. It also has large trash bins on both sides that smell bad. And the parking is terrifying that your car will be damaged. We didn’t see any employees and our room was never cleaned. The laundry on site is paid (8 quarters per washer and per dryer). The room however was clean.

Great location, just feet to the beach and surf. The rooms were clean. No on-site staff. Rustic and currently under heavy construction. We have 4 in our group and we'll be back. Once they get the handrails and steps back in.

The location was excellent, right on the beach and in walking distance to many restaurants and bars. One of the main draws that influenced our stay was the pictured terrace, however, the terrace was under construction during our stay, so we did not utilize it. There was an orange construction fence that obstructed the view of the ocean. All the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. This was fine, but carrying luggage up a pretty long flight of stairs may not work for everyone. There was not an acutal person in an office to visit and hours were limited, so communication was sometimes tricky. Check-in was done from an outdoor phone on the back side of the hotel. We received beach towels as requested, but had to call the office using our cell phone after the office opened. They were eventually brought to the room. Overall, our stay was fine, just not quite what was expected.

The Terrace looked nothing like the photos w/ the pretty red umbrellas. The whole thing & one side of the place is still under construction w/ orange barriers from side-to side. From previous reviews this construction has been going on for months - when will it end? Can not beat the location & the employees were friendly. Will probably stay again but not until the construction is done.

The convenience of check in after hours was easy. Parking accommodations for an extra long vehicle were good. The building has lots of construction going on.

The room was perfect for my husband and I. A comfortable bed, couch, snd dining set to use with a cute kitchenette equipped with coffee maker (and coffee!). The staff member was very friendly and easy to work with. Parking was available in back, but make sure to let them know ahead of time. Parking is a hot commodity at that end of the strip! If you enjoy excitement and music, this is your place. Music is loud and goes until about 11 on the weekends. After that it’s very easy to tune out. The only part of this place that was a little disappointing was the unfinished construction that must’ve stopped midway through. A bit of an eyesore and took some of the fun away from being on top of the shops looking out over the beach. Another key note, access to the rooms is only by stairs and they are somewhat “aggressive” for those with bad knees or other physical limitations. Overall, a very nice place and great location!!

Property directly on boardwalk. Close to everything Hollywood Beach Offers. Great deck. Great views. Daily room service. Con: Second floor; climbing stairs.

Got into my room the smell of smoke was terrible and the mold in the shower was horrible, did not stay got a different hotel, since iam allergic to mold

The ocean view room was perfect. There is construction going on and some scaffolding outside right now, but the views from in the room out to the ocean, priceless. There is some mold in the shower, otherwise very clean. The mamagers are prompt and accommodating. Location is right on the broadwalk.

It was not as clean as expected. No one came to clean our room. You have to leave the bathroom sink running in order to get hot water in the shower (hats ghetto and completely unacceptable)

Stayed here before. The hotel was pretty shabby but the huge terrace and location were great. The hotel looks like a war zone now. The terrace is cut in half with wood baricaid and construction fencing. No umbrellas! Smelled like marijuana the wholw time. The rooms and windows were filthy! Couldn't even see out the windows. All the dishes were filthy and a pan full of oil and frying residue was left in the oven! Only one exit from the second floor! What you see in the pictures is not even close to what you get!!

The property is not clean, housekeeping only change towels every day.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Filthy room and horrible customer service. Mold in the shower filthy room, run down old dark room, broken outlets, ac window unit was not secure, dishonest staff, room smelled like pot & mold. We walked into our room and immediately called another hotel and booked a room. We had to find another place to stay because this was Filthly and extremely noisy because you had two restaurants on either side of the motel that was blaring loud music. We immediately found another beautiful hotel to stay in that was clean with good staff! Expedia has reached out to this business via phone numerous times, and the they did not answer. Expedia then reached out to this hotel and explain the circumstances, and they refused to reimburse me for the cost of the room. If they represented the accommodations honestly-this would not be an issue. When I return the keys, I had to call for staff as you cannot go in like a normal hotel to a lobby to sign in/out. The person on the phone staff at the hotel asked me why I was leaving, and I explained in a very nice manner. The staff told me they would refund me. This did not happen! Expedia had attempted to reach them immediately after we signed out, but they were ignoring the calls. Then Expedia and myself had reached out to the hotel via email. The motel has not not responded to me!

Great experience. The room was clean and the service was excellent. Beautiful ocean view from the terrace and the room. The construction on the back didn’t disturb our time there.

Great little place right on the boardwalk. Freshly remodeled and very clean. Service and check in was a breeze

Perfect location, right on the beach with a lot of restaurants near by. Over priced though for what you get. Light on wall didn’t work. Ceiling fan didn’t work. Mirror on cabinet in bathroom wouldn’t stay shut. For the price would have thought there would be better conditions inside.

We stayed for our 20 year wedding anniversary, which I noted to the motel ahead of time. The building was under major construction, with an orange fence completely blocking the nice view they had to the oceanfront. We were awoken to jackhammers every morning at 8am. Even on Saturday. The bed was hard as a rock and the blankets were paper thin. We tried to get extra pillows and blankets by visiting the office during office hours and were told they had already left for the day and would bring them the next day. They never did. I don’t mind the small room or cracked towels, and it was clean enough but just an uncomfortable experience altogether. Next time I will pay a little extra and stay somewhere else. The area itself is beautiful and walkable to many restaurants and a fabulous beach. The staff was able to connect with us for a late check-in by phone, which I did appreciate.

It’s was an easy check-in and the room had a view to die for. Upper balcony you could hear the beach music. Problem was there was 2 restaurants playing music also. All mingled together. The one next door played till 1 am. Pretty loud. That being said not for us elderly people. But if you want to party yes. Would not come back.

Management provided a free upgrade. Spacious room with ocean views.

This place was the worst we've stayed in. Add stated full kitchen. Not true. They put in as small thrift store hutch eith some thrift store plates an silverware and that was it. No stove or hot plate nothing. Just a sink and coffee maker. Place was very small not enough room for 2 to pass the foot of the bed and dresser. The mattress was horrible, probably something thrown out of somewhere else. The ac was bed level that froze me out but wy wife was just right.i think the whole place was was occupied by the same Spanish family, no English, very awkward. Even the live lip synch music below was foreign. Nothing against them just weird thar we couldn't have a conversation with anyone there.

For a beach vacation this place is perfect. Get groceries and Park the car and just do the beach. I didnt see where beach towels were provided so perhaps ask if you need to bring. Nice little kitchen with fridge , microwave, toaster and dishes/cutlery. Bring your own coffee as it is not provided.

The hotel is amazing with a view to match. Right on the Broadwalk, close to everything. It’s the perfect size room with lots of room and storage for unpacking. Place to put your suitcases. Full kitchen. Stayed here before and will definitely be back!

Even though the hotel is under renovation some improvements to the property at this time, the Manager was very Helpful, Kind, Friendly, Generous

The hotel offers a nice frontal ocean view. Renovation in progress, upgrading the exterior and interior facility. Shawn the manager is responsive and pleasant to speak to. He’s attentive in guest requests and available to assist you with your concerns.

I was skeptical when we first pulled up but it turned out to be a lovely stay. We arrived earlier than expected and the staff worked fast to turnover the room so we could check in early. The beds are very comfortable and the room is nice and clean. We were allowed one parking spot which was great for us. You can’t beat the location! The balcony area is undergoing construction from hurricane damage but you can easily look past that. You are right on the boardwalk/beach. Everything you may need is walking distance. We only stayed a couple of nights before our cruise but I could easily stay here for a week or longer. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you so much to the staff for everything that you did for us!! You truly care which is hard to find these days! Until next time….The Young Family

Got our room early and also got a free upgrade. Rooms were amazing and the location is perfect for a stay in Hollywood beach. Will def be back!!

Very easy check in and out. Never met the office/management staff but they were very prompt on helping for any questions we had over the phone. Property is right on the boardwalk, beautiful location, beachfront. Never issues with parking. Rooms are ok, clean, the only issue I had housekeeping did not provide fresh towels. Definitely will recommend for travelers on the budget.

Location is great with restaurants steps away, however they have loud music going til around ten. The music didn’t bother us but could someone.. Fun to watch all the people on the boardwalk. Would absolutely stay there again.

The location is amazing! The view from the balcony is great for taking in the sunrise with coffee or people watching. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and well kept. I will definitely stay again.

I loved the ocean view and the beach, hotel was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and service was excellent. I loved it and the hotel was directly on the beach, Hollywood boardwalk. This was my second time staying there and I will be back soon.

Great location

The exterior of the hotel is being renovated, so it’s true that it doesn’t look pretty! But the discounted price is taking that into account at this point. The location makes up for any disadvantages. We parked our car and didn’t move it for four days. You can walk to anything that you need or want. Sean provided us with beach chairs and beach towels. We enjoyed people-watching from the terrace when we were done with the beach for the day. We felt like it was the perfect, low-key beach vacation.
