Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hotel - Pauls Valley by IHG

After arriving at check in, was told pool down, told laundry was down, didn’t have enough towels in room for occupants, linens looked stained, but hopeful clean, most breakfast pastries dry or to hard to bite.

I was so upset, I picked this property for the pool and it was out of service. I travel with children and pick hotels based on this their picture of the pool was great and no indication it would be shut down due to a broken heater.

I was very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. The main reason I booked here was for the indoor pool to help with my osteoarthritis after a long trip. When we arrived, we found out the pool was closed until further notice. That alone was frustrating since the pool was a deciding factor in choosing this property. We had even called the day before check-in to ask if we could arrive a day early. We were told it would not be a problem, but when we got there, staff had no record of it and no clue we were coming. The one positive was that the front desk lady made up for it by giving us our room at no extra charge for that night — the only good part of our stay. On top of that, the TV setup was unnecessarily complicated, requiring two remotes, and it constantly froze, making it impossible to even view the guide. The housekeeper disrupted our rest several times by loudly laughing and screaming in the hallway during the day. At one point, I was so alarmed by the noise that I thought someone might be hurt and felt the need to get up and check. This was extremely inconsiderate, especially since we were trying to nap due to pain and exhaustion from traveling. The breakfast buffet, which supposedly starts at 6am, was nearly picked over by 7am. What little was left was stale and of poor quality, so we ended up eating elsewhere.

Pool closed. Sink coming off the wall. Breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30. I left at 6:30 none of the breakfast was out yet.

Not fault of their own, but they no longer have a pool and Expedia has not bothered to update their website. It's been gone over a year. We did not stay there, we went across the street.

If yout property doesn't have a pool or hot tub please take it off your website. So rude. My original room smelled like mildew so bad I immediately went to ask for a new one. Switched with no problem. After those two issues it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast is great, beds are comfy and good sized rooms

The pool was kind of small and it was cold cold. It wasn't heated but that would be my only critique. Everything else was amazing.

Only issue was the pool.. couldn't swim was freezing.. not sunlight to warm it up.

Horrible customer service. Hotel short staffed. We did not get the room we reserved. Our room didnt have any shampoo, lotion or conditioner. The bath tub was dirty and was missing the plug for the bathtub

We were given a hotel room that was not ready yet. The bed was made but the rest of the room was not ready. They gave us a new room, but they should of never done that to begin with. The cleaning staff walked in on us in the first room as we did not realize right away it was not completely ready as the bed was made. But once they did, we started looking around and noticed there was trash in the bins, no towels and other issues. This is when we brought it up with the hotel staff. Breakfast was a good breakfast

I frequently stay with Holiday Inn Express and this one needs to be tore down. It’s a wreck, full of roaches in the hall ways and in the rooms, a complete crap hole. It needs to be completely remodeled or tore down.

Liked: It was very quiet because it is not right next to the interstate. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. Check in was easy. The area was a bit run down - boarded up buildings, closed restaurant, etc

Bugs in the hallway. Was “upgraded” to a suite and could hear the music from lobby/entrance all night.

Comfortable bed and pillows and so quiet! Most restful stay we’ve had anywhere. Great restaurant right down the street too (The Grille Restaurant and Bar).

The bed is hard as a rock. And the thermostat on the heater does not work Properly it was said at seventy but was 80°. When we arrive. You have set a thermostat at 66 to get it to like 70.

It was quiet even though close to the freeway. The comfort of the beds was great. The breakfast had a good variety of items to enjoy.

I have stayed here in the past and it was ok, but room 225 was terrible. It looked like someone had laid in bed, sink was dirty, there was no closet (bad design). Additionally, I asked not to be near elevator and was right next to it. Finally, television was all screwed up with wrong date and time and had to use 2 remotes, but wouldn't show live tv

We only stayed for a few hours for sleep before continuing our trip. Rooms were clean and the bed was pretty comfortable for a hotel bed. The only complaint was a the A/C is pretty loud and when it would shut off it would make a clicking sound and you could hear the highway noise. Breakfast was above average for a hotel. Would stay here again. NO BUGS!

Really lovely room, king suite for two. On third floor, super quiet. Plenty of parking available. Loads of seating in the room and flexible options for sitting/leaving luggage out. King bed, sofa, desk with chair, hanging clothes area with separate coatrack by door, built-in dresser under TV with two huge drawers and room on top to leave out suitcases, small table with chair by window, and two ottomans under the nightstands that we used for holding bags. Room had microwave, fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, Keurig with tea and coffee options. AC was on, making it cool in room as we moved everything in, but heat was very responsive later when we were frozen from being at the OU game. Huge bathroom with a showerhead tall enough for literally anyone. Large counter without junk all over it, so you could spread out everything you brought. Amenities were in eco-friendly dispensers by the sink and in the shower, all Dove brand. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. All self-serve. Fruit, yogurt, cereals, bagels, toast, coffee and tea, four kinds of juices. Make your own pancake machine. Hot cinnamon rolls, grits? oatmeal?, biscuits and gravy, eggs, (both scrambled or in omelettes with ham and vegetables), bacon and sausage links. Really a very nice variety, easy to grab and go or sit in the dining area and enjoy. Staff was helpful and kind, very friendly. Variety of fast food or sit down restaurants in the area, too. Convenient for Texans coming to OU games!

Room was nice and comfortable. enjoyed our stay. will be using the hotel again!

The a/c died in my 1st room, i had to be transferred to a different room.

Excellent place to stay clean quiet great staff

Safety awareness, accountability and leadership at this facility did not meet my expectations. My wife tripped on a defective rug at the front door. No first aid given or offered by staff. First aid kit locked in managers office and unavailable. Desk clerk did not have authority to move defective rug. Was told next day that manager would contact me and now 19 days later with no contact. Rug still there when checked out 2 days later. 3 night stay with no maid service. Clean facility and good breakfast.

Professional and warm reception of front desk staff. Clean air upon entry. Very accommodating to my needs. Comfortable, clean and quiet room.

I was traveling with my 3 children and booked a room with 2 queen beds. However, upon check in, I received a room with one king bed & a chaise lounge chair. The gentleman at the front desk (who was frazzled at best) apologized but said there was nothing else available as there was a state track meet in the area & they were booked up & stated he could refund my stay - Given the 2 facts that we had travelled 4.5 hours to attend a family reunion & that the aforementioned track meet - refunding my stay so I could go elsewhere seemed a bit ridiculous. Needless to say, I did not get much if any sleep.

I would highly recommend staying far away from here. The indoor pool that is advertised is out of order, the entire place is under construction and there are workers walking around everywhere. We didn't feel safe and we booked the hotel room for 2 nights and on our last night, the front desk worker came to our room and told us we werent supposed to be there. We were so confused because we paid $300 for 2 nights and she said we were only checked in for 1 night. She came back to our room two times until i had to tell her to stop coming to our room and call me on the phone.we left that night beacuse we felt so uncomfortable. what a waste of money.They are so unprofessional and i will be reaching out to hotels.com about this terrible service, stay far away

Staff not helpful more like a robot tv does not work at all

The service was mediocre at best. The first day I came back to my room there had been zero room service. I went to front desk and asked about getting clean bath linen and if my room was overlooked during servicing. The gentleman with about as much customer service value as a rabid dog replied, you have to request room service if you want it. I informed him that for the remainder of my stay I would like at least clean washcloths daily. That lasted for 2 days. Then again upon returning to my room, no service had been completed. Again I went to the front desk and requested clean bath supplies. Then when I checked out, bill was supposedly paid in full in advance, there was some random charge on my cc for $5.87. It was not worth the aggrieved to call and try and get it taken off. The rooms were clean, basic hotel rooms and it was quiet at night. So I guess just be happy for the small stuff when you are suddenly dropped in PV OK to bury your mom. Will not stay here again while setting her estate or ever if possible.

Great location! They are refurbishing the rooms, and the one we stayed in was extremely nice & clean. Staff was friendly & breakfast was delicious.

Good stay. Comfortable room. The beds are too high. Hard for short fat people with health issues to get into, but very comfortable once you got in. Great breakfast! Really not happy with the $50 charge on my card. Last time i stayed there, they just run my card. But with no charge. This time they actually put a charge, and i have to wait to get it back. I have been sleeping in motels every night for the last 2 weeks and this is the only place that has done that. Not hapoy about that.

Would like to see a better breakfast food. The cinnamon rolls didn’t taste like cinnamon rolls. They were blah. The the eggs look like rubber, and there was no biscuits for the gravy and their muffins wasn’t good at all so I would like to see a better menu other than that the place was awesome
