I could not believe the access to my room. I had to go up a circular stair case, which was not very big, and somehow get my two cases up there. In all my travels I have NEVER had to do that. Up normal steps is bad enough but to have to struggle up a circular stair case - crazy. I am 74 and found it very hard. If I had known about this I would have looked elsewhere. When I got to my room I saw there was an air conditioner which I was very happy to see. It was a very hot day. I then saw the sign saying 10 euros to rent the controller. I bit the bullet and went down to reception only to be told it was 12.5 euros. I told him it said 10 euros and he said we need to change that sign. I came down to breakfast and wanted some cereal. I could not see any dishes so asked the lady. She pointed to the normal flat dinner plates. I said I wanted cereal so she pointed to some glasses for me to have my cereal in. The room itself was fine, quite good actually. However, there is a door leading to the four upstair apartments and as people came in the door was slamming and this went onto 1.30am. Also, nearby there was some sort of gathering (I am not sure if has anything to do with the hotel) but that went onto 4.30am making it hard to sleep. Also, if you can, try to turn your car around so you can driver straight out. When I got there there was only a space which I could park in. Trying to reverse out with so little room was very tricky.

Great little hotel in a nice, peaceful little Dutch town. Super nice "patinaed" but modern room. Very comfortable bed, and although the bathroom was a little cramped, the way they had been able to fit it into one of the corners of the old room was pretty genius. Excellent wifi. Very tasty breakfast, parking in the back yard, which was a little tight for my big Infiniti, but should be just great for most other folks. And last but not least, the guy at reception was super nice! Even gave me a little cookie that he had made himself that day. I'm definitely stay again if I'm in the area again.

Hôtel très petit et cosy. La literie était confortable et le petit-déjeuner très bon, avec un patron charmant au matin. Mais plusieurs gros points négatifs : aucune réponse à ma demande de lit bébé, j’ai donc amené le mien… et j’ai malgré tout été facturée. Facturation plus élevée que prévu, parking quasi inexistant et fermé après 22h. En plus, notre clé n’ouvrait ni le portail ni la porte principale : nous nous sommes retrouvés dehors tard le soir avec un bébé endormi et toutes nos valises, jusqu’à ce que des employés viennent nous ouvrir. Chambre étouffante, lampe défectueuse, porte des WC transparente et dangereuse pour un enfant. Dans l’ensemble, trop de problèmes pour le prix demandé, malgré des gens sympathiques.

This is a lovely place for a few nights. I only stayed one, as I was on business. The single room was adequate for my needs. It was clean, and well maintained. The reception was manned by a lovely man who showed me all I needed to know. Breakfast was a array of breads, cereal, meats and cheeses.

We had a very disturbing and unsafe experience during our stay. When we tried to arrange the bed for our children, we found a mouse trap under the kids’ bed, which was already shocking. Later at night, when I was about to sleep, I found two mice climbing on my bed. This was terrifying and completely unacceptable, especially since we were traveling with our young children. We had no choice but to leave the hotel immediately in the middle of the night (2am). We were running out with our kids in fear, and no one was available at the reception to talk to. as there was no staff present.

Das Zimmer war vor allem auf der Empore sehr dreckig. Die stickige Luft war, trotz offenem Fenster (den ganzen Tag geöffnet und es war Oktober), kaum zu ertragen. Ich möchte nicht erahnen, wie es sich im Sommer anfühlt. Da half der kleine Ventilator auf der Empore auch nichts. Leider war durch das offene Fenster die Kirchenglocke im halben Stundentakt(Tag und Nacht) zu hören. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren super klein für 4 Personen. Es gab keine Ablagemöglichkeiten im Badezimmer und der Ablauf der Dusche und die Abluft funktionierten nicht. Man hatte auch im Badezimmer, durch eine Glastür (welche nicht bis zur Decke schloss) keine Privatsphäre (dies sollte man mit älteren Kindern beachten). Auch sollten die 2 Fernseher überdacht werden, da mit einer Fernbedienung gleich beide TV’s bediente. Positiv war das Frühstück mit frischem Orangensaft und der freundliche Empfang.

Het was de meeste slecht overnachting die ik heb gehad. We hadden een kamer met tapijt maar we konden daar niet blijven omdat we allergisches zijn voor tapijt. De kamer die we kregen was reeds geverfd en rook naar verf rond 03:00 uur s'nachts werd op de voordeurvan de hotel voor lange dan een uur gerampt en heel hard, de kinderen schrokkenwakker van en we hebbenheel slecht geslapen. De kamers zijnheel gehoor je hoort elke beweging..dat wordt genaakt, om 6 uur stonden we al op want was te veel lawaai, ipv een goede nachtrust hadeen we een vreselijk nacht. Ik noem deze hotel geen hotel maar een hostel

Great little hotel in a nice, peaceful little Dutch town. Super nice "patinaed" but modern room. Very comfortable bed, and although the bathroom was a little cramped, the way they had been able to fit it into one of the corners of the old room was pretty genius. Excellent wifi. Very tasty breakfast, parking in the back yard, which was a little tight for my big Infiniti, but should be just great for most other folks. And last but not least, the guy at reception was super nice! Even gave me a little cookie that he had made himself that day. I'm definitely stay again if I'm in the area again.

Très mauvaise expérience. Chambre familiale pas du tout adaptée aux enfants. Aucun chauffage dans la salle de bain : il faisait la même température qu’à l’extérieur, la fenêtre étant entrouverte et non chauffée. Le carrelage était glacé, totalement inacceptable avec des enfants. La chambre est une mezzanine avec un escalier en colimaçon, dangereux et inadapté pour une famille. Nous avons signalé le problème de chauffage, la réponse a été qu’ils ne pouvaient rien faire. Inadmissible compte tenu de notre séjour avec des enfants. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet hôtel.

This is a lovely place for a few nights. I only stayed one, as I was on business. The single room was adequate for my needs. It was clean, and well maintained. The reception was manned by a lovely man who showed me all I needed to know. Breakfast was a array of breads, cereal, meats and cheeses.

Hôtel très petit et cosy. La literie était confortable et le petit-déjeuner très bon, avec un patron charmant au matin. Mais plusieurs gros points négatifs : aucune réponse à ma demande de lit bébé, j’ai donc amené le mien… et j’ai malgré tout été facturée. Facturation plus élevée que prévu, parking quasi inexistant et fermé après 22h. En plus, notre clé n’ouvrait ni le portail ni la porte principale : nous nous sommes retrouvés dehors tard le soir avec un bébé endormi et toutes nos valises, jusqu’à ce que des employés viennent nous ouvrir. We had a very disturbing and unsafe experience during our stay. When we tried to arrange the bed for our children, we found a mouse trap under the kids’ bed, which was already shocking. Later at night, when I was about to sleep, I found two mice climbing on my bed. This was terrifying and completely unacceptable, especially since we were traveling with our young children. We had no choice but to leave the hotel immediately in the middle of the night (2am). We were running out with our kids in fear, and no one was available at the reception to talk to. as there was no staff present.

Das Zimmer war vor allem auf der Empore sehr dreckig. Die stickige Luft war, trotz offenem Fenster (den ganzen Tag geöffnet und es war Oktober), kaum zu ertragen. Ich möchte nicht erahnen, wie es sich im Sommer anfühlt. Da half der kleine Ventilator auf der Empore auch nichts. Leider war durch das offene Fenster die Kirchenglocke im halben Stundentakt(Tag und Nacht) zu hören. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren super klein für 4 Personen. Es gab keine Ablagemöglichkeiten im Badezimmer und der Ablauf der Dusche und die Abluft funktionierten nicht. Man hatte auch im Badezimmer, durch eine Glastür (welche nicht bis zur Decke schloss) keine Privatsphäre (dies sollte man mit älteren Kindern beachten). Auch sollten die 2 Fernseher überdacht werden, da mit einer Fernbedienung gleich beide TV’s bediente. Positiv war das Frühstück mit frischem Orangensaft und der freundliche Empfang.

Wil je dan vers fruitsap nemen, van de machine die er staat, komen de vliegjes u tegemoet en ligt uw glas vol met de beesten. Goedemorgen!!! Duidelijk niet gekuist de dag ervoor. De trap, in het bijhuis, is net goed genoeg om je benen te breken als met bagage naar onder of boven moet. Leuke groep met jongeren die dan ook nog na 23 u luidruchtig zitten rond te lopen. Niet slaap bevorderend. Het was de eerste keer maar dan ook de laatste.

I could not believe the access to my room. I had to go up a circular stair case, which was not very big, and somehow get my two cases up there. In all my travels I have NEVER had to do that. Up normal steps is bad enough but to have to struggle up a circular stair case - crazy. I am 74 and found it very hard. If I had known about this I would have looked elsewhere. When I got to my room I saw there was an air conditioner which I was very happy to see. It was a very hot day. I then saw the sign saying 10 euros to rent the controller. I bit the bullet and went down to reception only to be told it was 12.5 euros. I told him it said 10 euros and he said we need to change that sign. I came down to breakfast and wanted some cereal. I could not see any dishes so asked the lady. She pointed to the normal flat dinner plates. I said I wanted cereal so she pointed to some glasses for me to have my cereal in. The room itself was fine, quite good actually. However, there is a door leading to the four upstair apartments and as people came in the door was slamming and this went onto 1.30am. Also, nearby there was some sort of gathering (I am not sure if has anything to do with the hotel) but that went onto 4.30am making it hard to sleep. Also, if you can, try to turn your car around so you can driver straight out. When I got there there was only a space which I could park in. Trying to reverse out with so little room was very tricky.
