Fairfield Inn & Suites Twentynine Palms - Joshua Tree National Park

Bed was very comfortable, staff was excellent, checkin seamless. Pool needed skimmed. Breakfast was not that good, 1 day they were out of some choices.

Overall good. Breakfasts in the morning are identical each morning. Parking fees came as a surprise seeing $10 charged per night stay. But otherwise good location and proximity to the Joshua Tree National Park North Entrance.

The person at check-in was really sweet and helpful and the amenities are lovely. Lots of bugs in the pool though.

Nice facility, large room, quiet location. Complimentary breakfast was very good and it had two waffle makers. Charging for parking was a bit tacky. I can see hotels charging for parking if the hotel is in a high rent area like Manhattan NYC or downtown LA, but in Twentynine Palms? That’s ridiculous.

Parking charge? You are in Twenty Nine Palms - wide open space for literally miles and 15.00 per night parking charge? Crazy money grab…

Unadvertised LARGE parking fee that with the pet fee doubled the cost of my room. I understand a parking fee but this is ridiculous!

Good value and safe choice. But I was surprised to find a $10 extra charge for parking. We're in the desert - Land is not a premium. Kinda rip off.

The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful, giivng suggestions of what to do in the area. Breakfast had some items out early so we were able to grab some bagels and fruit before heading to Joshua Tree National Park for sunrise. I am still unclear why there is a $15 parking fee since there is plenty of room for parking and nothing I saw to warrant the fee.

One of the better hotels in the area but nothing special. Clean but the bed was horrible. Fitness room needs some repairs but the staff was great.

The stay was fine. Service was pretty good. But when they took my card for any incidentals, they did not mention they were charging $15 a day for parking. For a large parking lot that sits alone atop an incline, I don't think it was necessary. Aside from that, on my bank withdrawals there are two charges from the hotel. 1 for $40 and another for $10. It should be a flat $30 fee that's listed on my receipt.

Rooms were clean. Staff was very friendly, professional and polite. Breakfast was good to start a day with. Close to national park.

All the employees were great and super nice. The only complaint would be the bathroom floor was dirty.

I loved the location next to two grocery store’s & restaurants. Breakfast was good Sunday, scrambled eggs & link sausage.. Omelet Friday was not so good. The common area like carpet near & in the elevator badly needed cleaning.

Breakfast here is not spectacular with less options than at other hotels but does feature hot items: scrambled eggs, a meat option, salty Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, and oatmeal. The poor attendant was overwhelmed by the crowd - I found a near empty buffet at 7:40am. There weren't even enough utensils. One attendant for the busy holiday is not good for guests. The bed was not uncomfortable. However, I noticed on my first night that the bedding, including the pillows, on one side of the bed was wrinkled as if slept on, had stray hairs and one crumb (it looked like a dried grain of cooked rice). The other side was nice and smooth just like what I would expect of a bed with fresh sheets and pillow cases. Maybe housekeeping thought the prior guest didn't use the bed enough to warrant changing the sheets. I just slept on the fresher side, but this really shouldn't happen. The "gym" was much smaller than the size of my guestroom and had two treadmills and an elliptical. There is a side entrance with pigeons sitting on the lights just above the door. The doormat was covered in bird turd, and the pigeons go crazy when you open the door - use other side entrances. The hotel did not clean the turd during my stay. A fresh pile joined the one I hopped over on the first night. I travel a lot and love staying in less swanky hotels that cater to business travelers. To its credit, the hotel was quiet for sleep. However, this was the ickiest hotel experience I've had in a long time.

The staff were great, and the rooms are clean. However, the walls are paper thin. You will hear everything within 5 or 6 rooms. I heard both sides of a phone conversation coming from a room near mine. I also enjoyed waking up to a horrible screeching noise at 3am that might have been in the pipes. This property needs a little work.

WiFi was poor. The TV wouldn't work. Tried to get it to work & just gave up

Very large room, with desk, couch, chair, large bathroom, sizable vanity, full-length mirror, refrigerator, microwave, and other amenities. Excellent staff. Breakfast wasn't outstanding, but was good. The only real negative was sound penetrating one night from loud people in an adjoining room- who fortunately checked out the following day.

Amazing hotel, can’t believe it’s just 2-stars. Spacious rooms, nice lobby, great pool, nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Room was large; liked the extra space. Room was not in good shape, dents on the wall, TV with burn spot, bathtub looked old. Heat didn't work well. Coffee good. Breakfast average. Charging for parking is usury. Offensive to charge for parking. Parking fee a not-well-hidden fee to boost income.

We had problems with our TV but the maintenance man was AWESOME AND CURIOUS! Thanks for hiring a gentleman!!

Our stay was excellent thanks to the greatest hotelier, Mona. She not only was courteous, also very professional and helpful. Also, this hotel was only 3 miles from North entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.

The young lady who checked me in did a great job she had my room ready when I got there and she knew my name when I told her my first name. My room was very clean told them my nice very quiet very comfortable. You guys are the best. I definitely will be returning

The tv didn’t work. No mention of WiFi from anyone, so unable to connect. The eggs at breakfast were so salty, they were horrible. The breakfast attendant was kind of rude. Just pushed her way into doing stuff. It was busy, but come on. The parking lot has cracks everywhere. Trying to pull a suitcase is challenging. I asked to verify the charges before I left and the clerk was rude. You used Expedia, they’ll send you a receipt. I didn’t ask for a receipt, I asked about extra charges. Then she said, there shouldn’t be any. She didn’t or wouldn’t check. They also charge you to park in the cracked and accident waiting to happen parking lot. Will not stay again.

hotel employees need to be nice with all their guest irrespective race. Show respect to peoples not their skin color.

I planned a quick trip with my sons, driving from LA, didn't expect any issues but then one son got sick. I had prepaid for two nights. I called the hotel the day we were to drive there to see if I could shift the dates by a day but could not since prepaid thru Hotels.com. We debated just taking one son but he wanted to go with his brother. Since I paid for two nights I decided to see if he recovered and he did. So on day two we arrived in the evening to check in for our second paid night. To my dismay I was told my reservation was canceled as a no-show. Even though I had spoken with them the day before and was not advised of this. (Really, in this day of cell phones and email?) So, I paid for that night and was told that the manager could resolve this the next day. Long story short, in spite of the obstacles that Hotels / Expedia put in the way, the manager was good to his word and refunded me for the second day. The woman at the desk when we checked in gave us a great recommendation for a dark sky viewing area without driving fully into Joshua Tree (my son's and I loved this). Overall, I would rate Fairfield highly, not perfect but they try. Hotels/Expedia gave me a good rate but threw up obstacles even when the hotel manager was clear to authorize a refund. Buyer beware, but this hotel built my trust.

Beautiful well maintained hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Free breakfast with a good variety of hot and cold foods. Hotel is also very conveniently located between 2 entrances to Joshua Tree National Park so it is a great base camp to spend time exploring the area. Highly recommend.

It’s a wonderful Hotel, very nice staff, and located in the town 29 Palms, and just 5 miles from Joshua Tree National Park- North entrance. There’s lots of great restaurants nearby, and we had late lunch at a Wonderful Mexican restaurant Enchada, huge portions and great margaritas!

Room was nice, the pool was heated (low 60’s when we were there). Breakfast was good - convenient to the national park. We had a very nice stay.

i adored the employees, really kind and helpful. the location is great if you’re staying to adventure joshua tree. the hotel is also suuuuper conveniently located near lots of shops, restaurants and gas stations.

Easy to get to, easy to park, decent breakfast, quiet room. Good for a family visit to Joshua Tree National Park.

Overall, this hotel was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel to visit Joshua Tree and it was conveniently located near the park, as well a grocery store and several dining options.

The Fairfield was a nice place to stay, it was convenient to entry into Joshua Tree. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was pretty good and well stocked. I would definitely stay here again.

Great customer service. Clean, spacious and comfortable room. We were 15 minutes front the observatory. Breakfast was great, it have everything. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, waffles, mini muffins, bread, juices orange, cranberry, and apple. Coffe and hot water. Fast check out.

The breakfast was sad. No knives, no forks, no yogurt, the sandwiches ran out, then the milk ran out. Many people crowding around the serving area the minute food was brought over. Hotel also charged for parking even though this is in the middle of nowhere with lots of parking. Premium rates for glorified camping.
