One of two elevators broken during our two night stay. Wasted a lot of time waiting around. Hot tub not working, which was the main reason I selected this hotel. Would have preferred being told so I could have made other arrangements. Back door entry lock did not work. Poor security. Poor recycling effort. Panel that hid cords beside bed was broken and laying on the floor when we arrived.

Breakfast was pretty good, their egg products need some help. They are firm and spongey. Meats were good both days we had them (sausage patties and links). Parking was easy. They have a side door that is too small for the frame so hot air just pours in all day, surprised they have just let that go. The air conditioner in the room was a little annoying, seems like it runs off motion or something so it got warm overnight.

Room was clean and fresh. There were minimum towels in bath, and blow dryer didn’t work. Lighting was excellent, and air conditioning worked well and quietly. One of the 2 elevators was broken, the pool and hot tub were also closed for repair. What a shame for such a new hotel to have so many repair issues. The breakfast was well stocked and clean, but the pancake machine was also closed for repair. Overall, I would stay there again because it’s such a nice addition to 29 Palms area.

We put our trash in a bag, left it in the hall and it was there for 2 days. Of a 4 night stay, house keeping was in our room once. Don't know why I had to ask for it, should have been out there.

Lobby and lift do not exactly look inviting, but room was clean and bed comfy. Aircon worked well and loud. Even though we stayed 3 nights, the room was not cleaned or bed made, but at least rubbish removed and we got a couple of new towels. Breakfast choices were good.

One of the nicest hotels in all of Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms. Close to Joshua Tree National Park North Entrance. Very nice property. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing. Good wifi access, and good TV channel selections. Nothing is really walkable from the hotel, but several restaurants and grocery options nearby. We took long hikes in JTNP all 3 days, and it was nice to come back to the Holiday Inn Express to rest and get cleaned up. Wish the jacuzzi was working.

Our room (210) was right next to the elevator. One of the elevators had a problem with it as it made a grinding noise all night long as it went up and down. I spoke with the front desk and she stated "a part was ordered and it would get there when it got there". For our safety, we always took the elevator that was not making noises. This needs to be taken seriously. No one wants to get stuck in an elevator. Additionally, the shower head needs to be replaced in room 210. The water goes everywhere.

Stayed for 3 nights, bed was great and the air worked. My complaint is that the shower wouldn’t drain, nothing was in there that would prevent it, so we had to use our towels after to soak up most the water. Breakfast was great.

Overall, we had a nice 2-night stay while visiting Joshua Tree. The location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, the WiFi was fast, and the breakfast was solid. My reason for deducting 1 star is because we could always hear some noise from the rooms adjacent to us, which could be annoying for light sleepers. But aside from this, we had no issues.

The property was fairly clean and I no issue in that regard. The only problem was the front desk guy. I arrived 20 min early and the guy was extremely grumpy and rude and told me to leave, that he won’t check me in till 3 pm. There were plenty rooms available at the time, and I don’t see a reason w accommodating us over such a short period of time. Luckily, when I returned there was a different gentleman who was very nice and polite. Maybe, retrain some of your staff to smile and be kind. It is not good to be mean just because you can.

Front desk was never staffed. Waited a long For check in, each night we had to have our keys remade because they didn’t work. And at checkout somebody from housekeeping was there and couldn’t give me a receipt. They said they would email it to me but that’s never happened. The shower handle in my room also was broken and very difficult to regulate the temperature

The perfect oasis! This is located just outside downtown and the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, a quick 5 minute drive. The male staff member who checked us in after a huge storm had a hit the night before, was very understanding when he explained the elevators were out. He did his best to make sure everyone was on a low a floor as possible until they were fixed the following day. We chatted for a while and exchanged memories about our shared home state. The breakfast was good, very quick drive to local restaurants and not far from other fun places to visit, like Pioneertown. I would stay there again!

Overall, a very good choice for staying in this area. We arrived a little early (1:45) hoping to check in before we went to Joshua Tree. We had a prepaid reservation. It did not appear to be busy at all, but the gentleman at the front desk said we couldn't check in until after 3. I'm quite sure there was a room ready and have never been refused a room when so close to check in time. He allowed us to put our luggage in the storage room. He was somewhat unaccomadating. When we returned later in the evening, we had to wait in a line to check in and get our luggage. The woman that took care of us when we returned was very nice & changed our opinion. The room was very comfortable. Great beds, excellent shower and top notch breakfast in the morning.

Check-in was a little on the cold side. Food was good the first day. Second day the food trays were empty at 8:30 AM an hour before closing time. The lady was kind and said "I am here by myself Biscuits won't be out for a while". Otherwise everrything was fine.

We choose this property for the jacuzzi and that was closed. The room was nice but the bathroom needed some love. The shower door did not close all the way. Looks like they tried to fix it but no luck. Also only gave us 2 towels. Breakfast was ok and they start at 5 which was wonderful
