Extended Stay America Suites - McAlester - Hwy 69

Parking lot smelled of rotting flesh, I’m not sure if it was the dumpster or something in the back of a car, it was super bad, staff at check in was friendly, room was ok, but I wasn’t expecting much at the price point, bath tub was dirty with mildew on the tub drain, I had to scrub it off so I could take a bath, the bed was ok, but the pillows were super flat. Kitchen had 0 items in it, you have to ask for everything at the front. Breakfast was grab & go granola, oatmeal, muffins. Again for the price it was ok.

The elevator was particularly warm. Aside from that. The pillows were not consistent in fill. One was fluffy. The other firm. It wss different. I did enjoy the stay

We came to McAlester OK as a vendor at the 53rd Annual Italian Fest. The hotel was booked through Expedia, was affordable, and was somewhere around 4 miles from the venue, But that was not a problem as it was easy to find and close to restaurants, shopping, and an incredible coffee shop. Reconditioned rooms were excellent, the bed was so very comfortable, the shower had great hot water, the staff was exceptional (Courtney and Megan Bravo on a job well done,) and there was plenty of parking. The only issue, breakfast being provided was a very limited offering and not worth partaking of. Thank you for a great stay.

Boat parking not good

The hotel is underground some renovations, so parking was a little limited by equipment that was on site. But still plenty for everyone to find a space. The staff was friendly & helpful. Not just pet friendly for the stay, they have a pet relief area equipped with baggies for your 4-legged friends to use. An excellent value, in my opinion.

One morning they were cleaning and mopping thoroughly. Great to see the hallways and elevator as clean as the rooms.

This is my second experience at this hotel both times we’re not was I expected. Check in went great no complaints, the receptionist was very polite and respectful. However when we got in the elevator to go to the second floor it was super hot. We enter the hallway to the room and the floor looked as though it had been vacuumed but there was pieces of dirt along the baseboards and entrance of some of the rooms. It smelled a little musty in the hallway as well. The room its self was not very clean. There were dirty fingerprints on the back of the bathroom door, the mirror had spots on it. The microwave in the room didn’t work properly, the air conditioner wasn’t running it as cool as it read on the thermostat. The bed was loud when you moved on it, and made a popping sound when you were in the middle turning over.

very good and inexpensive place to stay. Only issue was with the new road going through town their was no place to enter directly into motel. had to go 2 miles around.

It would have been a bit better if we had more than one entrance and exit and if they left coffee out until 10

Very clean and had a comfortable bed. Used the workout room. The treadmill ran, but the displays didn’t work. Not a huge deal because at least I could walk inside. Breakfast was prepackaged muffins and granola bars. Also had oatmeal. Not really qualified to say they have breakfast included! Nice and clean, so would definitely stay again.

The room was completely dirty. Old food bags and the beds weren’t made. We left.

The room they gave me was dirty. There was hair and other things on the pillow and sheets. They gave me a different room that looked like they at least had clean sheets. I stayed in this hotel a few times a few years ago and it was pretty nice. Overall it is very dirty looking now, the walls , doors, carpet,etc.

Everything was clean and crisply set up. Service was overall excellent. Staff was knowledgeable and professionally efficient. Would definitely recommend staying here

The room was dirty. A lot of dust and fuzz on vents. Splatter on the walls (Booger’s?). The phone keypad was particularly gross. Dust on top of the fridge. The floor was slightly sticky. When you see this, it makes you paranoid about what else was not cleaned. Pillows, sheets?

I woke up with a bedbug crawling on me. Changed rooms but was very uncomfortable

Both sides of the bed were caved in. No longer supported weight evenly. Had to sleep in the dead center of bed and not move or else you cave into the side toward the floor

Studio room was spacious, clean & comfortable

Nice clean very economical hotel. Longer stays would be a great place to stay with stove top frig and microwave

We thought the staff were very friendly, but the bed was probably one of the worst I’ve ever slept in…truly awful.

Furniture was a little rough around the edges. Not the cleanest, but clean enough for a one night stay. It could use some updating.

Stay was ok. Beds are uncomfortable and the AC is very loud therefore resulted in a long sleepless night.

Clean room, convenient location, good AC, good blackout curtains, great little kitxhen in the room. Ice maker in the room is super loud and obnoxious, but otherwise a great stay!

Room 119-air conditioner rattled when it ran

First, they put us in a room with a single bed, which was not a disabled room. We were traveling with our granddaughter, and they put us in another room with a smaller bed that still did not have a bed for our granddaughter that did have disabled facilities finally! However, the girl at the front desk surprised us with an additional $25 a night fee for our dog which was supposed to be included in the price of the hotel And then asked for $81 for the $25 per night. Math was never my subject, but I’m pretty damn sure it was only $50! She looked at me like a deer in the headlights when I told her to check her math!

They did not honor my prepaid confirmed reservation. Some lady from the front desk called jyst before 11:00 PM , as I was 4 miles away, to tell me they were sold out and couldn't honor my reservation. She didn't care if tge reservation was prepaid or not. Said it wasn't her problem. Then she simply hung up leaving me without a room. I hope they enjoy the money they stole from me.

Check in was simple and the attendant that checked us in was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and tidy. The beds did make a lot of noise every time you move but it was comfortable !

I didn't get to check in. I was told that all the rooms were fully booked. They are not aware of the booking that I have made using Expedia. I am expecting a full refund. Thanks.

Very clean, quiet and really helpful staff.

Got there to check in and the door was locked. Said to pick up phone for service which I did and the lady stood in the breakfast area for 10 minutes stocking shelves while the phone just rang so loud I could hear it outside. Finally was let in and was greeted with her rude demeanor. Upon trying to check in I was told the need an id for everyone staying in the room so I had to go out side to get my wife Id. Then I got to do the fun part of waiting to get back in. Finally was checked in and handed some room keys. Went out to park and grab stuff from vehicle. Upon trying to go inside the cards did not work. After making it to our room finding out the cards did not work. Went back downstairs and got new cards that didn’t work also. The front desk clerk had to come use a key to let us in the room. Was told if we needed to leave she would have to let us in every time. Once inside found that room 317 the bed was firm on one side and spring loaded on the other side. One wrong move and you would get bounced off the bed. Ask for a new room and was told there were none even though I had the option to reserve one in hotels.com still. This place was and embarrassment to hotels. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from here. Stayed at Motel 6 south on the way home and had no issues at all. Motel 6 was cheaper, cleaner, friendlier. Motel 6 south is an indoor style room as well.

Check in took way too long. They did not make it easy. It was also difficult to understand the desk person speaking through a wall of lexan

This property is undergoing renovation but there was little if any noise or dust for the renovation. Courtney at the front desk was very helpful, cheerful, and polite. All staff should be this great. The area around the outside out this property is also undergoing rebuilding, with lots of paper and building materials blowing around from those projects. It impacts the this property due to the close proximity, dusty and wind blown refuse ending up on the property. Not the fault of Extended Stay. We really enjoyed our night here, Nothing fancy but reasonably priced.

Time for new mattress in our room. Sketchy neighborhood but loved having Rib Crib across the parking lot

Good value for the price. It was quiet and convenient.

Everyone was very nice and I had no trouble checking in. Location was great. I was close to a park to get outside and also food to get dinner and breakfast.

Great place to eat and shop. Robbers cave state park is 28miles

Easy access off 69 & restaurants walking distance

The property isn’t in a desirable location. It sits behind a restaurant and is surrounded by grassy lots. Our room was fine and really spacious.

Close to restaurants and Walmart

The hotel is great but make sure you have transportation. All the shops and restaurants are across the interstate.

No coffee pot in the room, and the entire hotel is in need of updating. It’s clean but worn out. No indicators working in the elevator. Sad excuse for “breakfast.”

“Grab ‘n go” breakfast was poor. Other than little cupcake/muffins, oatmeal packets were available, but no raisins, brown sugar or milk to go with it. No place to sit. If you want ice in your travel cup, you have to know to get it from your room’s refrigerator (it makes ice) before you leave the room. The staff were very nice and helpful, though.

Completely acceptable. Breakfast is minimal.

My experience was great. My room was clean linen was clean. The breakfast was just what i needed for a a grab an go stay. The staff was very nice and friendly.
