Aochalong Villa Resort & Spa - SHA Plus

We enjoyed our three-night stay here. The resort was a terrific value. We wanted to be close to the Chalong Pier for scuba diving. This resort had both a seaside pool and a second pool further from the beach. It was quiet, quaint, kind of charming. The restaurant had very good food and excellent drinks. The included breakfast was great. The staff was welcoming and very nice. This was an out-of-the-way gem.

The location of the hotel is quite far away from the main street. This can be a good thing but also bad. Takes a while by foot to get to the big street and by that time you’re sweating. Also adds to the cost of transportation. The good thing is that the hotel area is quiet and no street noise is heard there. The two swimming pools are big and look very nice, but they close at 7pm! Most of the evenings we arrived back at the hotel later than 7 o’clock, which meant we couldn’t swim, which would been the best time for swimming. My friend slipped on a glass covered decoration tile by the pool and hurt her hand and knee. We informed the staff but they wiped their hands off of it. They said they don’t have insurance nor any type of papers my friend could have filled. Of course she had travel insurance, but we thought the hotel might have to take responsibility and would be required to fill some type of paper work. So nothing came out of it. We are just surprised the pool area has glass covered deco tiles which are really slippery when wet or when a person steps on them with wet feet. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is pretty good. Most of the time it’s pretty much same foods everyday. Only chicken sauce is different everyday. The hotel area is lush and pretty with lots of flowers and plants. The hotel offers a free one way transportation to Kata Beach three times a week (monday, wednesday and friday) which was cool!

Great hotel, 2 nice pools. They are no life guards at the pools, which is fine. But they close the pools essentially for no reason too early!

Good plc lovely pools nice cafe little expensive but good!!only thing was it was down a long drive so not good for walkin back alone in dark!!but taxis about !!its around 20 mins walk to places its by sea but you cant swim so makeuse of pools!!

I loved this place. The room was a bit dated, but it was big and very comfortable. They seem to have rooms in a variety of price ranges. The restraunt was great, the staff was awesome, the spa was amazing. It is only a few minutes drive to the port for diving. I will stay here again.

Die Bungalows in der Nähe des Meer sind sehr nett die Zimmer im Haupthaus sind okay für den Preis aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen so wie die gesamte Anlage. Die Sonnenschrime müssten alle dringend mal erneuert werden, sonst hat die Anlage an sich Flair. Das Café und Restaurant hat leckeres Essen und die Preise sind für Hotelpreise okay, Personal sehr freundlich. Die Anlage liegt direkt am Meer und daher weiter entfernt von der Hauptstraße, daher sehr ruhig aber auch etwas abgelegen. Man braucht immer ein Taxi oder Roller um von der Anlage wegzukommen. Vom Flughafen fährt man je nach Verkehr 1-1,5std. Der nächste Strand zum Baden muss man auch mit dem Shuttle oder Taxi erreichen.

The resort is beautiful and full of nature. It is a bit secluded, but that's exactly what we wanted since we didn't want to be close to the clubs and popular beaches. The service is great and you can spend all day inside the resort enjoying the pool, food, and great amenities.

I stayed here for 3 nights in Janaury 2024. The property is in Chalong which is quite far from the airport but they offer pick up from the airport for Thai Baht 1000 each way for up to 6 people. When I arrived I was amazed by looking at the property. It was very beautiful and gave a proper resort vibe. Check-in was very smooth and the room was very clean and I liked it. The drawback is that the WiFi in this resort doesn't work the best. It just did not work for me inside the room but it worked pretty well in the balcony of my room, near the pool, and in other common areas. Another drawback is that they will give you 2 water bottles per day and anything extra apart from that you will have to pay. The swimming pool is huge. There are two pools and both are great. It is very peaceful and the food at Sea Time Cafe is delicious (although the service is a little slow). Overall it was a great stay and I would highly recommend it.

Hotellet lever slet ikke op til de 4 stjerner. Der var ikke rent, badeværelset flød over med vand efter et bad (med et ødelagt brusehoved) pool området kunne også bruge en opdatering… et billigt og okay ophold men slet ikke 4 stjerner

The room was clean, the service was great and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

Pools are very nice and cleaned every day! There are a lot of awesome plants, threes and flowers 😍. The air conditioner is great 👍 in the room. Humidity is very high tough but normal for the region. The only bad thing was the toilet smell at the beginning and almost the whole trip until 2-4 days before our departure. Will visit definitely again! Thanks for the pleasant stay :)

The staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. That’s about the only positive thing I can say. We checked in and immediately went out to explore the town, so we didn’t notice how terrible the rooms were until we returned around 10pm. We booked two rooms, one villa and one standard room. - The villa was ant and roach infested. It also smelled of chemicals. The hair dryer did not work. - The standard room’s bathroom smelled awful. It reeked of a strong urine smell and we had to keep the door closed at all times. When we called to the front desk, they basically said it was after hours and there was nothing they could do until the next day. They offered to pesticide spray the villa unit in the morning. That is probably the chemical smell we were smelling and it probably isn’t safe to inhale. Around 12am, the units adjacent to the standard room decided they were going to hang out outside on the patio all night. They were loud, yelling and making noise, and we couldn’t get any sleep as they were right outside our door. They didn’t stop until about 5am. In the villa, my family also couldn’t sleep as the ants would bite and it hurt! We booked and prepaid for 3 nights but only stayed one.

The Good: The property was very well cared for. There is a lot of vegetation around so if you like greenery this is the place for you. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff was also very nice, polite and helpful when you needed help with something. Rooms were very clean and well cared for. Overall maintenance was good. Breakfast selection was quite good. All the food tasted fresh and was delicious. The Bad. * Our room was composted of two rooms, a bedroom and what seemed to be a living room. The bedroom did not have any TV which sucked. The living room had a tv, but no practical way to sit and watch. I had to watch tv using a chair. It would have been better if the TV were mounted in the bedroom. * Bathroom was terrible. You can see in the picture attached. No isolation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom except for the toilet via a shower curtain. When you take a shower, the entire bathroom floor is wet and good luck walking in without getting your feet wet. It was so impractical and one of the dumbest setups I've ever come across. In addition, the soap, body wash and shampoo bottoms were in such tiny bottles, it was a joke. We didn't ask to get our room cleaned each day so we had to request for toilet paper and refills which was annoying. * AC repair men showed up 2ft from our bedroom window inspecting the AC without letting us know. If anyone were not fully dressed, we would have given them a show. Not professional.

Schönes Hotel mit 2 Pools. Service freundlich, wenn auch manchmal einfach in der Gegend raumstehend. Kinderfreundlich. Umgebung ist für fußläufige Exkursionen ungeeignet, so dass man ständig ein Taxi braucht Frühstück gut, sonstiges Essen und Getränke im Preis ambitioniert. Insgesamt ist die Anlage etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber ganz gut gewartet. Kein Ungeziefer, wenn man von Eidechsen, die ich sehr gerne mag, absieht. Strand ist aufgrund der Gezeiten, Glasscherben und Unrat zum Schwimmen nicht geeignet. Für Taxen an besten Bolt nutzen.

It was a pretty nice place, the brick sidewalk needed some repair, and the automatic electric turn off in the rooms are a real burden because the room heats up a lot when your not there and it takes a very long time to cool down the room again! They probably think there saving energy, but it’s actually worse and uses more energy to cool down the rooms again then it is to keep it cool!!

Very beautiful villa, it was cozy and had plenty of room to relax. Wish I could have stayed longer than just one night!

Booked and paid for 48m2 room for 9 days, was presented a 28m2 shoebox. Reception didnt care and wouldnt change my room. Left next day. Hotels.com dont care either, offered 8% voucher. Generally Hotels.com dont care once you paid.

From check in to check out all the staff were amazing from being genuinly polite to the bar staff bringing over the drinks menu when your by the pool. The room was nice with a comfortable and big bed with a spacious rooms and a large balcony.

The staff was nice and gave us a free room upgrade. The room was very clean and had a great view of the beach. The room amenities were okay but nothing fancy. The water pressure of the shower was really low and kept running low on hot water. The internet speed was slow and barely usable

This property was pretty cool. Nothing like a pool, that has access to a beach and view of the waters. I must mention though, I had to call maintenance 3 times to fix my water in shower until they actually fixed it. There was no iron to use, not even at front desk. The waitresses were very immature and ruined some of the peace. They did not attend to the guest properly, to even ask if anyone needs anything, like water maybe in the hot sun lol. I did catch one of the waitresses kicking a bottle cap around for fun right behind me, like a child who does not understand we paid for quiet and class. Most importantly, make sure your room is not next to the kitchen, as I had to endure sounds of crashing silverware all day and evening. Very annoying. They should learn how to control that. No reason to toss silverware around, and yes ive been a waiter before so I am one to speak. Train them better. Its called class.

The hotel is lovely, the staff is nice and helpful. By a 5 minute walk you reach the main street where you can find whatever you want. The only disappointing thing was the water pressure in the bathroom... like watering plants from a can.

Almost no water pressure in the room. Food was good but very pricey as well as drinks. AC made a lot of noise. Light switches were not well placed.

Just don't bother, I left with a night payed for because I couldn't be bothered to deal with the staff after they called my girl friend of 8 years a sex worker because she is from Thailand. Rude disrespectful and in apologetic. Not worth my time

Our first solo trip was in Phuket and staying at Aochalong villa was amazing. They had exceptional service and hospitality and the location is perfect for those looking to vacation away from super busy cities like Patong. I decided to upgrade rooms for a great price and it was totally worth it if you're looking for a comfier stay. They offer taxi services and multiple excursion brochures upfront so you don't have to go out of your way looking for reliable ones. I will be back next time

Passamos todos mal com o que comemos no restaurante na hora do almoço. Tinha até mosca na sopa. Acordaram um dos amigos falando que ele não havia pago a comida, fizeram ele levantar e ir até o bar e ver que o erro foi deles de ter cobrado a menos e nem um pedido de desculpa foi realizado. Quarto barulhento... Havia algum equipamento bem próximo do quarto que ficava ligando e fazia um barulho absurdo, além de crianças gritando o tempo todo. Não ficarei mais nesse hotel e nem recomendarei nem para a pessoa que mais odeio.

We checked in late in the evening arriving from overseas. It’s a long drive from Phuket international airport and upon arrival power in our room wasn’t functioning. Our family had to wait nearly 1 hour in the lobby at 11pm with a 7 years old child

I didn't have luck for choosing this hotel. Unfortunately was a really sad experience for me and my family. I have 03 points to talk about: - The rooms have a lack of maintenance and the furniture is old and damaged. - The restaurant staff had errors with us due to fly in our soup and never offered "I am sorry" - The restaurant forgot my order and I was waiting for more than 40 mins, I called to waiter for cancelling my order and it arrived in less than 5 minutes, I didn't receive a "Sorry" from the staff. - I received at night a call in my room, telling me that I didn't pay the bill, I had paid, they told me to show the receipt at restaurant, so I had to leave my room at night, go to the restaurant and show the receipt and card transaction, but was not my fault, the real reason is that they had forgotten include some item in the bill and they wanted I pay for it (is ok I am not refusing to pay, but is an error by their side) I had all this embarrassment and one more time, I never received a "Sorry". Definitely, the next time I travel to Pukhet I will not choose AoChalong. I hope they have success and treat better the tourists.

Hotel itself was nice, the pools are beautiful. Breakfast was good. Hotel bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Not a lot in the area around the hotel, definitely not walkable

Great hotel tucked away in what feels like a rainforest but is actually right on the beach. Great cafe/ restaurant, not crazy expensive and great food. Very quiet and relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of centre chalong.

Das Hotel an sich ist sehr gut, aber die Lage ist ein bisschen außerhalb. Für jemand, der nur Ruhe aussucht, ist die perfekte Wahl. Ansonsten müsste man Taxi für die Fahrt in die alte Stadt bestellen. Eine Hin und Rückfahrt in die alte Stadt kostet über 20 €.

Overcharging for included breakfasts. It appears that the arrangement for breakfasts is via a third party supplier that the hotel is cheating on.

Breakfast really good and loved the coffees too. Loved our stay here!

Twice they try to charge for two breakfasts I already paid for in the booking. They charged for a small towel which they say I lost, which I not lose.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. Our villa by the large pool was spacious and comfortable. Good TV choices for English speakers. The whole complex is quiet and really beautifully landscaped. Both pools were very nice and very well maintained. Breakfast was for the most part pretty good with great fresh fruit and some good choices. We enjoyed the cappuccinos and lattes and a nice selection of breads and local food. The view of Chalong Bay from țħe restaurant was really special of Make sure you see when the tide is out and watch the boats floating on sand.The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Cons: Terrible WiFi…it didn’t mater what time of the day or night..it was almost impossible to get and hold a connection for any length of time. Like many Thai Hotels the bed was a little too firm for me. Breakfast could really be improved if they offered eggs to order like most other Thai Hotels. The eggs were fried ahead of time and layed out in a large warming pan. They just were not appetizing for me. Even with a few areas needing improvement I am looking forward to my next trip to Phuket and staying at the Aochalong Villa Resort & Spa. Next time we will be staying longer.
