Mantra Ettalong Beach

loved the room and the staff were great. down side of the stay .i was told they no longer have a gym by staff. part of the reason we did book there was because there was meant to be a gym onsite as advertised

Tesla charger in parking area could help us a lot. We had to go to Tuggerah to charge car & returned to bed @2:30am.

Enjoyable stay with amazing views and good communication. Staff were very helpful. Our only hesitation is that the pool was extremely crowded and included a group of 6-7 young adult men playing (tackle) rugby amongst the bathing toddlers. A one-off episode I’m sure but the number of guests/rooms was clearly in excess of the capacity of the pool which was a shame as the space would have been lovely with a third of the crowd.

Close to the beach. Clean and organised. The only thing that would make it better is to cover the swimming pool. Pergola style. This time was a storm and we couldn't go to the beach nor use the swimming pool. We had to leave one earlier.

We had a great stay at the Mantra Ettalong. We had a two bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment and whilst the living space was small, it was perfectly functionable and the two balconies added to the space. The pool is great, wasn't too busy whenever we visited and the deep end is only 1.2m which meant it's easy to use the whole space. Right in the heart of Ettalong for food, shops etc and two secs from the beach. Underground parking was easy and even though the hotel was sold out for the weekend, there was plenty of empty spaces. Will definitely return to Mantra Ettalong.

pool was unheated, no gym, no spa, trash cans very tiny- almost like they dont want you to be there, beds- need changing, uncomfortable soggy mattress.

A great location right on the beach at Ettalong with the Ettalong Diggers on the ground floor. Close to restaurants and cafes with an IGA just around the corner. The room we were in had a great view over the pool and up the bay to Palm Beach. The room was very clean and nicely set up with a kitchenette, lounge area, separate toilet and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We'll be back

We love staying here, lovely rooms, big balconies and close to beaches and restaurants. Free parking is great. Definitely recommend

Room was really clean and bed comfortable. Super easy with kids - easy walk to beach and playground out front with nice flat path. Coffee nearby. Only disappointment was the spa by the pool is no longer operational.

Bit disappointed, booked a pool view room and was looking forward to a swim but pool fenced off under repairs with smell of resin wafting into room. Would not have spent extra for this room of I was aware of this work!

Property is in a great position and close to everything you need to have a great stay. We only stayed for one night as a "pit stop" but we were quite happy with the hotel. The reception staff were lovely. The grounds etc were well maintained but the rooms themselves are very tired and a bit "grubby". The bathroom wall tiles are quite old and have mould stains. The lounge in the main area is uncomfortable and grotty. The cushions lean forward so you slip off the front and can't use it to relax. Definitely not value for money.

Receptionist added $50 extra on top of what we paid for the room for no reason claiming the hotel was full house it was not true , We have figured it out from our balcony, looking into other brooms, and they were all dark except for couple rooms The balcony was very dirty full of mould

This hotel was an utter disappointment, far from its 4-star claims. The room was filthy—stained walls, mold in the bathroom, and bedding that looked cheap and worn. Beds were uncomfortable, just two singles pushed together. Housekeeping was non-existent, and service was awful, with rude staff dismissing basic requests. The "smart TV" doesn’t work, WiFi was barely functional, and the bathroom was unsafe and poorly lit. The only positive was a clean pool, but that hardly compensates. False advertising, poor maintenance, and terrible service make this place a complete rip-off. Avoid at all costs.

The hotel was located close to the beach and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were friendly and parking was easy and free. The room wasn’t the cleanest. When we arrived we needed to ask them to change the blanket on the fold out bed as it had a few dirty marks and looked like it hadn’t been washed. The curtains were also quite filthy and the shower curtain was mouldy. The room itself was fine apart from that but it was a bit of a turn off.

First room was unfit, filthy carpet and stunk. Offered me a renovated room which was a lot better but cleanliness still not great

Spotless room Great view

Is a weekend away. We stay in a one bedroom room apartment. One the whole the property was kept fresh with white linen and white wall paint. We managed to trap a few cockroaches every night. Pest control needed urgently. Otherwise it was great, close to restaurants, shops and a club next door.

Another great stay at Mantra Ettalong. The 2 bedroom apartment with huge Terrance is fabulous.

Stayed in 1 bed Deluxe Suite with Pool/ Ocean views. Ocean views were limited to when next to balcony rail. If you are looking for some sun on your balcony, ask for room in the left hand wing of hotel facing the water or a town/ hinterland room at back right hand wing of resort.

Direct pool access room : perfect & convenient for a quick swim and back to your own verandah without having to drag everything down to the pool with you.

Nice property but getting old. Needs new bathroom. Don't go there if you are okd as having a shower is very difficult stepping over very high spa bath. Pool is beautiful.

Had a slight issue with a noise or hum coming through the sliding door due to wind. Manager came and checked it out and resolved issue by moving an kindly upgrading the room as well. Nice and thanks.

Nice one bedroom aoartment with weell equipped kitchenette. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. Great location next to the beach and close to a suoermarket.

Great location. Loved pool area. However room could do with some work. We stayed in 2 bedroom suite and all the curtains were ripped terribly. Room we had must have been a disabled room at some point and toilet wasn’t positioned great… tv was very small and tiny lounge… I expected more for the price.

Electric breaker box in room 332 has a hum. Very quiet room but the hum was noticeable at night.

My partner and myself had a wonderful time at the Mantra and Ettalong. The staff were amazing, friendly and very professional. Will definitely go back there.

Always a great place to stay, Pool is nice and big, location couldn't be better. I had an issue with guy at reception on checkout morning but I later returned and spoke to Michelle who was very friendly and sorted it out, she is an asset to the company. Thanks

We arrived at reception to check in with 2 adults 2 children at approx 7:15pm for a 4 night stay. No staff in sight. Tried to look for a bell or button on counter to call for assistance, nothing to be found. Hotel / reception appeared to be deserted. A staff member finally came from a closed door behind counter. Greeting was underwhelming to put it mild. Dirty sock left in room as well as other concerns. Requested a different room and paid extra to be moved. The fire / evacuation alarm sounded. I went to the corridor to listen for an announcement for evacuation or lock down instructions. No announcement was made so we followed the very basic fire evacuation procedure that was on the back of the door. With two very frightened young girls we made our way down to reception, considering they had already seen the burnt out building from the balcony of the first room their fears were easily heightened. As we were making our way down, a very brief announcement was finally made that the situation was being investigated. Fire brigade arrived as we exited. During the remainder of our stay we were constantly disappointed with the hygiene, service,and access to basic necessities & equipment. Called reception on other occasions for assistance only to be told that the call had been diverted to a Accor hotline as there were no staff on during after hours contradictory to the information on the welcome to mantra letter proved to us informing that reception was available 24 hours.

Love staying here and will definitely be back. The facilities are first class, rooms super clean, comfortable bed and the pool is amazing. Shout out to Bella at the front desk who has an amazing smile and is super friendly

Ettalong Mantra is close and convenient to the local town and only a short walk or 3 min drive to Umina. Not the first time we’ve stayed and probably won’t be the last!

Location at Ettalong Beach was beautiful

A great location right on the beach at Ettalong with the Ettalong Diggers on the ground floor. Close to restaurants and cafes with an IGA just around the corner. The room we were in had a great view over the pool and up the bay to Palm Beach. The room was very clean and nicely set up with a kitchenette, lounge area, separate toilet and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We'll be back

Our 3 night stay very enjoyable the room was perfect with separate bedroom and living room the close proximity to Club and beach overcame issue of no food on site

Stayed three nights and found our suite very comfortable. Staff at reception pleasant and happy to meet our needs. Only down side was our door entry tricky, usually needing several attempts with card to open each time. Obviously needing new locks. The dining options at attached Diggers was very handy. Open for breakfast, lunch& dinner.

Really nice accommodation, very clean and tidy, modern facilities in great condition. Room was nice self contained facilities were good, nice quiet area close to beach. Diggers rsl next door for good feed breakfast lunch or dinner.

Our stay at the mantra was good. Although a few things that were amiss was 1. The bed we had was absolutely terrible! It was just a mattress and you felt the springs straight through. No sleep at all. Woke up with massive back pain. The reception couldn’t move us as they were fully booked out. They tried to accomodate us with a mattress topper but it made no difference what’s so ever. Another sleepless night. They need to upgrade the mattress and quickly!!!. 2. There are not a great deal of food choices around the mantra. The diggers menu nothing appealing. And even if you wanted an afternoon snack there were no sandwiches on offer. Lucky we found Chinese at the Ettalong bowling club (which was good and you need to drive). Otherwise the room itself was clean and accomodating. Large enough space with balcony and a lounge to sit. Bathroom big too. The pool area was jam packed on a hot day!

Det ligger precis vid strandeb, helt underbart. Dom kom och städade när vi påpekade att badkaret inte var städat. Dock fyllde man inte på tvättmedel, duskmedel el kaffe om man stannade mer än en natt. Det hade varit önskvärt men säger man till så hade dom nog fixat det. Saknar att hotellet inte har restaurang. Lite för dyrt men annars helt ok.

The staff looked after us so well even when I dropped an entire cheesecake on the foyer! So lovely, professional and clean. Our suite was fabulous, ocean view is magnificent. Very clean and ready early. Cannot rate the staff and our experience highly enough. The food at the club also fantasy.
