We had a lovely overnight stay for Christmas and boxing day. Dinner at windows restaurant after pre dinner drinks at the bar. Woke to take a beautiful walk around albert park lake which is just acroos the road. Tasty breakfast with all you need then worked itnoff in the well equipped gym before checking out.

It was a great stay however parking can even be painful with adding parking to the booking. When exiting the carpark had to call and have staff manually open gate as I was going to be billed $122 even though I had paid for parking as an extra with my booking.

I really think this hotel being out of the city should have free parking included. Was very surprised it was $22 extra.

We were upgraded to the Pullman but to the same room type it was very nice but don’t know if it was an upgrade because we didn’t see the Mercure room. It was clean and comfy and my son loved the gym. We had in room menu on the first night good food but costly. I wasn’t happy with the cost of parking new fees $25 every exit so day 2 paid for valet $45 but leave as many times you want which is what I needed.

Fantastic check-in. Arrived 915 am and got into our room which was very unexpected but fantastic. Room good. Spacious for one room but only 1 pillow each on bed. Asked immediately for 2 more. Got them after a couple of reminders.Bathroom small but enough. Good shower head. TV only small, could be a bit bigger. Staff very helpful. Went for tennis and there was a nig screen at reception and lounge area. Pool looks much smaller than photo. Gym small but has all equipment. Not a lot of food options close. A few cafes. Close toTram so St Kilda close by and 30 mins into city. Room close to busy Queens road. Noisy when in room. Too far out from city for me but if u are happy to tram it its fine. Restaurant expensive. Lots of people getting Uber eats delivered. Staff lovely, engaging, helpful.

Had a great stay at this hotel all the staff were extremely friendly! It was a great location, the pool and spa were very nice and we loved the free water stations everywhere. We would definately stay here again when we visit Melbourne next!

Good value for a quick overnighter. The pool was a great temperature and we enjoyed the spa and sauna too. Breakfast was good and staff were responsive when we needed something. Location and price were good, unfortunately the room was not clean and was very run down with holes in the carpet and curtains, hair in the sink a dirty toilet and underclothes from previous guest left on the floor. The bedding was clean and good quality and bench tops and fridge were clean.

Housekeeping was sloppy. All coffee in the room was decaf even when I asked for regular. The room wasn’t cleaned unless I asked and then it was poorly done. The restaurant service was sloppy and the food cold. Bartender in the day didn’t know what drinks were nor was she able to differentiate between scotch or bourbon or Irish whiskey.

I could at times hear people talking in the next room, maybe it was the TV? The hallway hadn't been vacuumed and wasn't for the three nights I was there. There was cobwebs on the ceiling light. The restaurant menu was ordinary and I thought for that expensive. The bar food was again, no great shakes. They charge for WiFI. A thing of the past. There was nothing in the fridge to drink or snacks. The bed was good. I will never again go to a Mecure Hotel.

Not very comfortable at all. The hotel in general is very tired. Dirty carpets everywhere. The door handle to my room required brute strength to open. Could not have been opened by someone elderly. The room was generally grubby. Limited lighting in the room, and bedside lamp didn’t work. Only two small lumpy pillows were provided for the king size bed. There was no spare/extra pillows or blankets in the room. The toilet water was brown and ran constantly. Room service was ok. Breakfast was terrible. Extremely over priced and very limited options if you have allergies.

The property is ageing and the rooms are very plain for what they are charging. Only two pillows in the room, had to wait 25 minutes to get extra pillows, (which arrived after midnight). Bathroom has an old style bath/shower. Limited ammenities and the decor/layout was weird. Room wasn’t serviced on our second night we were there, even though we were out for most of the day. Location was handy and the breakfast buffet was ok. Should be half the price of the Pullman. Wouldn’t stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel as it was nearby to a wedding we were attending. It didn’t have much that was in walking distance though in the way of shops or eateries. The whole shower situation wasn’t good at all with the water temperature fluctuating constantly from cold to scalding hot- very dangerous for children or the elderly.

Hotel itself was fine, but check-in and staff handling it were woeful. Arrived pretty much bang on check-in time and were told that the room wasnt ready, but would be around 20 minutes - a little annoying but we could work with that. Went to follow up after 30 minutes and were told that hed advised us it would be 30 minutes. Called him out on that and he said that it was now 20 minute updates. Quite annoyed by this stage as we had a booking we were probably going to be late to. Escalated to the manager who said hed get back to us in just a moment- we had to chase him after an hour!! He then said that apparently someone had already given us our key?!?! After 90 minutes, we finally got our room keys with no apology and were late to what we'd come up for. Sad thing was there were about a dozen other people so waiting for their rooms. Ok room completely overshadowed by this experience and we definitely won't be back.

The staff were particularly lovely. We arrived much earlier before check in and asked to store our bags. The staff were more than happy to do so but also allowed us to check in as soon as our room was ready which was hours ahead of our check in time. Upon checkout, the gentleman was lovely and had a smile on his face(even though he was dealing with a difficult customer before us). Very comfortable beds too, I could have slept all day.

It was annoying to have an evacuation at midnight on my first night there, but very unprofessional of the hotel that there were no staff visible at all during the evacuation. I had such a terrible experience staying in this hotel. 1. My dad forgot the password to open the safe and we kept all our passports there. It was 2 days before we got back to our country so we were kinda panic and as the staff to help us open it.The receptionist said there would be someone sent to our room to help us that day and my dad asked for the specific time, but she just said "I don't know, but today". We were not satisfied with her answer but we could not do anything so we just went our the whole day, hoping that when we returned, it would have been unlocked. BUT NO. It remained untouched. The next day, my dad had to express his dissatisfaction and finally, they sent someone to our room. It only took them about a minute to open the safe, so why didn't they do it the day before as they promised us? 2. We paid them 250 AUD for the security deposit and spent 169 AUD for breakfast so in return, they had to give us 81 AUD back. They promised it would take 3-5 working days for the process but we wait for nearly 2 weeks. Nothing was returned. Now, it has been 8 working days and we haven't seen our money back yet. I rarely leave a bad review for any kind of hospitality service, but my experience at this hotel was truly disappointing. Overall, this stay was frustrating and far below the standard I expected. Poor communication, slow action, and unfulfilled promises left us with a very negative impression. I strongly don't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

The staff at the front desk was not helpful or professional. They would overcharge you without any explanation. I came to them at the checkout to ask the total price I paid for, however they were not willing to help and instead just gave you a hard-to-read account detail. I had to do the math myself to prove that I was charged incorrectly. The guy then was reluctant to change to the correct amount I booked for. I still haven’t got the deposit for my refund so far and either for the security bond after a week’s time. Mercure shared the same reception with Pullman. Suspect they treat guests differently for the cheaper booking.

Needs more staff from what the staff kept saying. Definitely needs cleaners as there was vomit on the floor outside the room next door for most of our stay. Don’t believe them if they say you can check in early as they will keep saying it will be ready soon and won’t be. Take note of who orders after you and if they get their meals and finish eating before you get your kids meals ask as the kitchen has made a mistake. Take your own body wash as our was empty on arrival and didn’t get filled until last day after asking many times. Also towels are in the pool area if you only get two for a family of 4. Take a pair of thongs as carpet in room had a lot of stains. We stayed in cheap hotels cleaner and with better service than here.

I am not a fan of Mercure having stayed in a few questionable ones previously but this one was a pleasant surprise. It shares staff and amenities with the Pullman which makes for a good experience. The room is ok, the staff are very good and helpful and parking is not too bad given the proximity to the city. The areas for improvement are: - Breakfast buffet was around $47pp which is silly for breakfast and a family of 4 and does not cater to the recreational traveller. That being said, there are always options - Coffee was not very good (the real coffee from Windows) - There is literally nothing near the property in terms of dining options after 3 pm Other than that, the best Mercure I have stayed at and I would return.

The staff here are next level helpful! Could not of asked for better service for all our needs. There wasn’t a question to big or to small that they couldn’t help us with. The buffet breakfast meets all the family needs to start the day right. The pool and gym facilities help to work of said wonderful buffet breakfast. The dinner menu is the only thing that could use expanding.

This property is showing its age. Just a little care and attention, particularly in public spaces and corridors would present the property much more favourably. During our recent stay packaging was left dumped on the floor at the end of the corridor for three days, room service items were not promptly removed and left the property looking shabby. The room was excellent and housekeeping did a very good job of servicing our room. However, the aging plumbing left us (and probably those in neighboring rooms) deafened every time we had a shower! We also found it unhelpful that shift changeover occurred right when a significant number of prebooked guests were arriving to check in. The queue was very long and some waited up to three hours to get access to rooms. The staff blamed attendees at an onsite conference not clearing their rooms by check out time.....This is a management problem not a problem for guests arriving after extended travel.....Management, lift your game. And finally, I've used this hotel now once a year over the past 6 or 7 years and the coffee machines have never managed to work properly in the breakfast restaurant. Don't you think it's time to throw them out? They are to complicated and unreliable..... Guests pay for decent coffee when they pay for their breakfast.

Dreadful stay.Asked to check in online we did. Still took over half hr as computers were offline staff didn’t know what to do. We had xmas dinner which was the worst meal we have ever had. Room was old shower was over a bath we are both in our late seventies could not get in or out to shower. Rang housekeeping to get slip mat for bath No answer after three attempts.So no shower for two days. left early to go home for a shower. Would not stay again. Staff not well trained and really didn’t care
