Room was newly renovated. Clean. Breakfast has everything except sausage or bacon. Good price for our family stay for one night. Lobby need be renovated and they don't have elevator if your room is on the 2nd floor.

Very clean and friendly staff. Property under construction, but it was ok. Everything is new which is perfect, It will be amazing once it’s completed. Parking was ok and there’s a Tim Hortons right next store which was a bonus. They do have a breakfast available which is nice. I will definitely stay here again 😃

the hotel is undergoing renovations: wood floors in the room, big beautiful tiles in the shower/bath, new carpets in the hallways. Friendly people at the front desk and housekeeping.

Our team is working on a project at University of Windsor and at their stay on Check-In: Jul 16, 2025/Check-Out: Jul 17, Room 143, beds had bed bug!! very disappointing and disgusting. We need a refund for this stay and we want to officially ask Surestay by BW tolook into it!!

Amazing staff who were willing to help when needed. I simply can't say enough good things about who was working there. The price was also great, which is likely went I had the next issues.... It's under renovation and with that comes rooms that are not as clean as I would have liked. Also, our room was located right next to Tim Hortons 24 hour drive thru and every muscle truck went through at all hours of the day. They need to build a fence between the hotel and the drive thru to help to negate the noise.

Renovated place, room was smelly, front desk solution was to keep the door open and let the smell out. No air freshener available. Bathroom door would not close and rooms are not noise proof. Could hear the traffic all night. Not worth the money paid. Would not recommend.

Paint peeling off bathroom ceiling, toilet seat wouldn’t stay up and Tim Hortons ordering speaker by the room( I could hear them ordering at 6 am ), no hotel sign. Seems like you’re under a bit of a reconstruction and bed sheet had a hole and stain on them. These are minor things but they need to be addressed. Thanks for listening

The front staff were pleasant (replaced my non-functioning key card, gave us a new fridge to replace the broken one). They could not provide a logical reason why I was charged extra because I showed up early (room was ready---although it only had 2 sets of towels for the 3 of us---no extra toilet paper---had to ask front desk for extra roll). I can certainly understand paying extra for an extended check out (inconveniencing staff work) but an early check in for a room that was already ready---the staff could have just said the room was not ready----instead they said pay extra for checking in early) For that extra at the very least the appliances should have been checked for functionality, enough towels for guests and extra toilet paper etc...) I don\'t mind paying extra if you can give me a logical reason for it but the clerk and the manager could only say"sorry, hotel policy" so I said "in other words this is a money grab" Thank you for making the decision to not use you again for accomodations. The pillows were too soft, the door to the bathroom is too noisy and sticks and there were no door hangers to indicate if you wanted maid service or not.

From check in to check out it was an awesome experience. The hotel is renovated providing all the amenities you expect from big name hotels at a fraction of the cost. Super clean staff was very pleasant. Highly recommended

The ability of certain staff to communicate effectively and politely could be improved. The message I sent inquiring if an early check in could be possible. Instead of responding with they will be charged rather than saying if available we can contact you day of and provide the info about what is required instead of requiring me to reach out again. I also had an additional night reserved through a different site and confirmed same room still woken

We arrived at the hotel just after 2:00 pm on the day of our check in. We were told that an additional $20 Plus taxes would be charged since we were checking in before the standard check in time of 3:00 pm. We explained to the lady at the front desk that we had travelled almost 8 hours and were there to attend a funeral and needed to get ready. Her reply was that she couldn’t do anything as the fee is automatically charged. Our room was ready when we arrived and there did not appear to be many other guests staying there. Not sure why our arriving less than one hour before check in would cause the hotel any real expense. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and the hallways were full of unboxed furniture and very dusty. It was evident that our room had been remodelled however the door was very difficult to open (maybe the paint did not completely dry) There is no signage on the outside or the building that even indicates that it is a Howard Johnson. Very disappointing stay.

OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT. MOST OF ALL, YOUNG LADY, THAT CHECKED US IN WAS VERY PLEASANT AND VERY INFORMATIVE. THE GAL THAT CHECKED US OUT WAS ALSO VERY PLEASANT. IT MAKE A GREAT DEAL OF A DIFFERENCE WHEN 'STAFF' IS KIND AND WELCOMING AND PLEASANT.

The facility is nicely renovated, just wish the suite had a table of some sort with two chairs to sit at. I don’t like that traffic flows through the parking lot heading to Tim Hortons, it created a noisy dangerous environment. I would give perfect stars if it weren't for that.

The room was fine, but I felt very unsafe in entering the very dark, unlit parking lot and walking past a small group of men hanging out by the entrance. I mentioned this to the staff and they said that there was a light in the parking lot area that was malfunctioning but that belonged to the adjoining business. Still, it seems like something should be done about that as the approach was quite frightening.

Location was great as it was minutes from the Detroit/Windsor tunnel and close to Little Italy and downtown. Clean room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Check-in staff was annoyed when I asked to be assigned to an upstairs room but other staff on phone and next morning were helpful. Breakfast better than expected. Real Canadian Superstore was nearby for groceries. Good for the one night I stayed.

Our stay was great. Two adults and no children, we got a great sleep. The hallways lacked signage to stairs or arrows to direct doorways to the parking so it was easy to get turned around while trying to find the hotel lobby and car park. The breakfast was really unorganized and needed re-stocking. Many guests had to ask for help from staff. Otherwise great stay and we would do this again because it was a great deal!
