The Westin Baltimore Washington Airport - BWI

Property was nice. Airport shuttle took over an hour to arrive at the airport after 2 calls to the front desk. The overnight attendant was neither apologetic nor helpful. The driver was the same. Original front desk agent who checked me in was very pleasant. Management I’d suggest a check in with your overnight crew-they could use some customer service training.

I picked this hotel after I filtered for parking. They should have clarified “paid parking”. This hotel is by the airport (not a downtown location) with a huge empty lot in the middle of a suburban like area and they still charged me $17.50 for parking overnight. They had park mobile in that lot but couldn’t even tell me if that would be cheaper overnight, which I suspect it could be. This should have been told to me when purchasing this room.

The pool was closed wish I would have known this before booking my stay, but over all the stay was peaceful and relaxing

During my stay, my car was broken into - personal effects and items were stolen. In the same parking lot, during the same stay, another car had their wheels taken off. No security cameras exist in the parking lot despite the fact they charge you to park in their own parking lot! Although the maintenance supervisor told me that “he never saw that happen,” the Police officer who wrote up my report indicated that he’s there multiple times a week and they have urged the hotel to get security cameras but the hotel has refused to do so.

Hotel is fine with nice pool and gym. Parking fee is a bit high at $17 per day. Convenient to airport.

The property was great, staff was Amazing, my room was clean. Anything I needed I was able to get ASAP, the customer service was great. The gym is a great size with a lot of equipment, I did not use the pool, but it looked clean and was a decent size. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT your advertising says it has a pool and it doesn’t. That was one of the reasons I rented it

I had high expectations for this property. Upon checking in I walked to my room and it was musty. There was a horrible smell of weed when I got off the elevator. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The mirrors had fingerprints. The bathtub faucet had a drip that was annoyingly loud. There was a cigarette musty smell coming from the a/c vent so I just turned it off. The comforters had lipstick stains all over them and the sheets were dingy. I just wasn’t impressed. I went to the snack room to purchase a bottle of water and the guy who checked me out gave my card to someone else who was checking in. The woman was kind and immediately told him that wasn’t her card. I’d say they need some major upgrades to their rooms, if they clean the air vents, and clean their carpet it’ll probably boost the quality of the hotel.

When I checked in, I was given a room that clearly hadn’t been cleaned, the soap was unwrapped, there were squirts of something all over the countertop and a face cloth used and lying beside it….. the bedding looked like it had been pulled back to smooth after being in a ball and there were Bobbi pins and elastics on the floor- it clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. Thankfully the front desk person as baffled / apologetic once I showed him the photos I had taken and gave me a new room and a coupon for a free appetizer in the restaurant but this was really not what I’d expect from a westin.

Overall, my stay was good. My only complain is the room could have been a little cleaner, however i always bring my own cleaning supplies and clean to my own liking. The toilet seat was loose, however i believe it was because the toliet seat sits so low, you literally have to fall on the seat. i think thats what has happened here over time with different guests. Beds were VERY COMFORTABLE.

I really like the property it up to date, the hotel is very clean, smells good and look very luxury the only issue I had was with housekeeping, the sheets and pillowcase had some stains and hair that's not mine but then that it was a great experience

Bed and clean room

I like the property. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient. However, the room I stayed in probably had the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. That’s something that needs to be addressed and soon. Debating if I want to stay here again as I’m in the area often,

Everything was great. The only issue I had was it was humid in the room no matter what temperature the air was on in the room. Not sure anything could be done about that....but other than that Great!!!

Always love staying at Westins when I travel, but this one needs some love. Especially in the rooms.

The common areas were great, but the room was disappointing. The bathroom felt very outdated, and the toiletries did not meet my expectations.

I stayed two separate nights at The Westin Baltimore BWI and had a different room each time. The first room was at one far end of the building and had no Wi-Fi at all. (The guest network did not even appear as an option on any of my devices.) The second room, which was much closer to the central elevators, had a proper connection. The sleeping and lounging areas of the room were very nice. The comments I have here are that the "bright" and "dim" settings on the lamps in the room were basically the same, and that neither of the two pillows provided was in the "Goldilocks zone" (one was too soft, the other too firm). Otherwise, the rest was great—mattress, curtains, available space, noise level, view, etc. The bathroom was generally good, though the water pressure was quite low. I really liked that they had liquid soap dispensers in the shower—rather than relying on bar soap. Overall, very good experience; easy 4/5.

The room we were in the ac was definitely broken. We didn't realize it until the morning when it was 72 in the room and the carpet was wet near the ac. The person checking us out didn't seem too happy and upon leaving my partner said when they checked us in it was the same person and she just didn't seem to enjoy being there. The rooms are super nice and comfortable.

Convenient, clean and nicely done. Rooms are a really nice size and the beds are super comfy!

Beautiful hotel. Cleaning staff was very nice. Inside and outside was nice. Water in bathrooom faucet on the hot water would leak. The drain would clo up to the sink. The evening staff at the desk left me on hold waiting on another check-in customer. Abut rude about me asking about a taxi. The morning check-in desk clerk mad excuses for the shuttle driver I waited at the airport for an hour or longer. The driver and both shuttles were there.

Jason who checked us in was more interested in talking to then checking people in and he was not friendly. The toilet was clogged in our bathroom and then the the Ac/heating unit was broken so our room was cold we asked for another blanket. Which they said they would bring and never did. We will never go back there

nice, quite room. loved the water temperature and pressure in the shower. it was quiet even though there was a wedding and parties during my stay. hotel doesn’t have a view and isn’t in a walkable area but is very close to the airport, restaurants, mall and both DC and Baltimore.

The bed was comfortable and the property was nice. Not impressed with the $16 parking PER NIGHT and $23 breakfast.

The Hotel was nice, clean, quiet, smoke free. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel because of its location, and the fact we could get a breakfast buffet. My biggest disappointment was the management of the breakfast buffet. There were 3 women doing the job of 6. You cannot have one person seating, serving water, getting coffee, refilling coffee etc, another preparing carry out boxes, refilling buffet food, and the 3rd cleaning tables, and cleaning up after people and taking phone calls. In the name of efficiency - make it all buffet style, people can get their own silverware, coffee and water. Stage a collection area for people to throw out trash, and place dirty bowls and plates in a tub. Allow people to seat themselves, they are smart enough to see if a table is occupied or not. Have one staff member fill the depleated food on the buffet table so its always full, hot and ready for guests, have the same person prepare carry out orders. They know whats on the buffet, what needs to be filled and how much is needed. One person manages tables, cleans them and takes bins of dirty dishes to kitchen. The third person manages carry out and seating. Have a station near the front of the dining area where the carry out orders are held for pickup with customer name and room number on bag, host can seat guests and help the other two staff members if they have gap time....simple tasks, napkins, plates, salt, pepper. There were many unhappy guest's.

I chose this hotel based on my great experience at the Westin in Long Beach, but unfortunately, the Baltimore location was a disappointment. From the moment I entered my room, there was an unpleasant smell—a mix of disinfectant and cigarette smoke—that made the stay uncomfortable. The bathroom had broken fixtures, which was unexpected for a Westin property. To make matters worse, the dining area was far from what I anticipated, with a poor atmosphere and subpar service. Overall, this location did not meet the standards I expected from the Westin brand. I wouldn’t recommend it and certainly wouldn’t stay here again.

The restaurant was very good. My salmon dinner was delicious and the breakfast buffet was wonderful!

The bar and restaurant is great! We especially loved Aster and the bartender whose name escapes me. He is a lovely Hispanic gentleman who makes the best drinks ever! The food in the restaurant is also surprisingly tasty and has a nice upscale but comfy atmosphere. Overall, a great stay and hotel. Highly recommend!
