The pool was literally slimy. I’m not sure the last time it was vacuumed or the walls were cleaned. We did see someone come with a tester for the water, but nothing else. Clearly the pool chemicals were not being balanced appropriately. We stayed three nights and had zero maid service - not even fresh towels placed. The front entrance driveway is extremely awkward coming in from Algonquin Ave. You have to go through the Shoppers Drug parking lot. It is not well signed.

The outside area especially the parkin lot was not cleared properly. It was ice covered and very slippery. There was a distinct lack of salt and little effort had been made to clear away the snow from areas around parked cars. Hotel guests risked falling while trying to access the front entrance after exiting from their parked vehicle.

Parking is a nightmare. There are not enough spots in front of building. I had to park at the back of building, where there is no direct entrance. I had to drag suitcase through snow, to side of building, up cement stairs to access 2nd floor. Not well thought out, planned, or safe for a woman traveller!! Housekeeping is only every other day. Was not impressed overall.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay! It was absolutely phenomenal and worth every penny. My daughter and I had a Valentine’s getaway at this hotel, and from the moment we walked in, everything was spotless. The room, pool, lobby, and even the elevators were extremely clean and well-maintained. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, and this one truly stands out. I had zero complaints throughout our stay. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to everyone I know and will absolutely be staying here again! Room service was fast as well and quite the noise free night, can’t hear anything in the rooms much! Thanks so much!

The room was not cleaned. Someone had vomited on the carpet and it was not cleaned up prior to our check in. The room smelled terrible. There was food all over the carpet.

I always take a suite with a sofa bed so my kids can sleep on it. It had used tissues & a slice of pizza in the sofa. Super disgusting. It’s very easy to open up a sofa couch to see if it’s dirty.

Bed super comfy but when I looked under the bed it was obvious it wasn’t cleaned in a while. The outside of the windows are filthy but other than that this place is amazing. We will be staying here from now on when we visit North bay

The Bed and bedding was Excellent. The Room was modern and spacious. Worth the price for what you get. Breakfast was mire than i expected. Nice variety. Nice set-up. What we didn't like: The heating/fan system was not user friendly. Took a while to figure it out. We needed to look it up online to find a you tube video. The TV guide didnt match the channels on the TV. Sone channels were poor quality. Thank You.

Clean room, comfortable. The bathroom is half up dated, i feel the tub/shower is out of date compared to the rest of the bathroom and not vary good cocking job. But other then that staff, room and hotel are vary nice and clean. Breakfast was ok.

Room was nice and clean, large and spacious. I loved the jacuzzi tub! Newer tv so can watch your own Netflix and Disney plus. Bed was comfortable and clean. The staff was wonderful and super kind !

Nice hotel, very good location, very good staff. Clean, large room. Only negative is that the hotel seems to be getting a bit tired as compared to the newer hotels in the area. A walk-in shower would be a nice addition. The tv (room 410) needs to be replaced for a newer & larger one. The image wasn’t sharp & the tv was small. I figure maybe it was a 37”. Tv channels still using standard definition technology. Best asset: the location.

The hotel was generally great except for the mattresses. We found them to be too hard and woke up with sore backs. Reception staff were friendly , the room was very nice and the breakfast had a good variety.

I was not impressed that when we tried to check in around 3:15pm with 4 people and all our bags we were told the room wasnt ready snd to come bzck around 4pm. We had to cart our bags back out to vehicle and come back. Check in is 3pm. If I tried to check out late with an excuse that would get me paying more? Right?

Staff were great. Unlike what has happened at other hotels, the staff here was honest. I left my tablet in the room and did not realuze it until I was hours away. I called the hotel (thinking I had no real hope of gettibg it back) only to find that the house cleaning staff (room 217) found it and turned it in. I had local friends pick it up for me Thank you to all of the staff.

Breakfast was excellent for this type of hotel. Cheese omelet and blueberry waffles. The entrance to the hotel could be better signed. It was an awkward entrance and i had to go an extra block to make my way, despite Google directions. But North Bay has an odd roadway system.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton North Bay was great overall ----- the only one small thing that ruined my final morning before checking out ------ NO CREAM FOR THE COFFEE. It may seem like such a small thing, especially if you drink your coffee black, but to me it was a big let down this morning :( The staff lady overseeing the breakfast was very apolitic to me, but I know it was not her fault. I overheard several other guests asking for cream after I had too. One may think something as simple as going across the road to buy a few cartons of coffee cream for the breakfast guests would be a priority for a hotel chain such as yours, but apparently it is not. I guess I will have to plan ahead if I stay again and make sure I bring my own coffee cream. Otherwise, everyone and everything else was great. Kelly Thomas
