Nice, quiet and clean older property with minimal amenities. Staff was super nice. Location isn't the best as it sits on a hill and walking places from there is not optimal. However, there is a shopping area about 3 minutes away by car, along with gas stations, restaurants and pharmacies.

Easy access to highway but go slow when approaching address or you'll pass their quick uphill driveway and will need to enter at their exit driveway. Although highway sounds noisy from the outside its quiet inside for a restful sleep. Room was clean and frig and microwave were convenient. Internet connection is hit or miss. Coffee packets provided in room were subpar.

Basically, you get what you pay for. Limited towels, shampoo, etc. Faced a major interstate, but you have to go a round about way to get there. Still, it was cheap and clean. I didn't like the synthetic fabric for bedding. It has a coffee pot, but we brought our own. It's perfect if you just need a place to sleep.

The Inn is quaint and it is clean. The owner was friendly on check-in and gave me a pet friendly room even though I was supposed to call ahead and did not know to do so. My biggest challenge was trying to sleep. The bed itself was very comfortable but the Inn is right across the street from I-95 so it is like you are literally sleeping out by highway. You should bring a white noise machine or ear plugs if you plan on sleeping. The bathroom light was burned out and they were using a flood light with one of the heat lamp covers off of it as the lighting source. That was really the only minor issue that I noticed with my room. I probably would not stay here again due to the highway noise and while this property comes up as being close to the casinos, it is actually about 45 minutes away.

We killed about a dozen, no exaggeration ,large black flies that were all over the room and this morning when I turned the water on to take a shower it was brown for solid 10 minutes and then did not run clear -- hence no shower. You definitely get what you pay for. Won't make this mistake again!

We had reservations to stay here…but we didn’t. We checked into a room, but there was hair in the bed. Went back to the office got the keys to a different room..same issue, hair in the bed. He offered us a 3rd room…but we decided to leave and checked in at another hotel. I just couldn’t stay, it wasn’t clean.

Check-in was efficient. Room was clean. Road noise was minimal (considering proximity to I-95). Linen was smell and stain free. Mattress was best I've had in decades (if you like firm, which I do). Down side is the facility shows its age but you get what you pay for, without the normal bad stuff (see above). Water was hot enough but water pressure was closer to a trickle (took at night, not in morning).

Hotel is pretty old and that can be felt when looking in the rooms, there is some smell. Also, the highway is about 50 metres away with no sound protection. The advertised breakfast is not available in winter w/o compensation. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable.

Liberty Inn is very near the interstate and I feared the traffic noise would be bothersome. On nthe contrary, the “whooshing” sound of the passing traffic acted as a pleasant and soothing white noise easing me into a restful sleep. The evening desk clerk and the morning clerk both were friendly, courteous and helpful. I recommend Liberty Inn.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. It's 10 minutes from downtown which was convenient for us to visit family. The rooms are as expected in a motel but the beds are comfortable for a no frills stay. It really is the best option for Old Saybrook for reasonable price. It is right off I-95 but the double paned windows they put in keep the highway noise low. I couldn't hear it at night. I highly recommend the Liberty Inn.

This is an old hotel with outside entrances ,nicely renovated rooms. Room is a good size. I liked that there is a table and 2 chairs which is hard to find in most motels. The air conditioner is very large and is situated in the back of the room so it does not blow on the bed at night a big plus. TV is good size and a channel listing is in the room. Maid service daily, another thing that is hard to get in a motel these days.There is a continental breakfast included,but we did not use it so I cannot comment. My only complaint is that there is no tissue box in the room,and the location is next to a highway so there is substantial road noise.

In for a quick one night stay, flexibility on early check in was great. Very close to I-95 so some background traffic noise. Our room was carpeted, but new LVP is going in thru out. Great value and Main St Old Saybrook has nice shops and restaurants. Would recommend Mirsina's for breakfast if looking for more than continental.

This hotel worked out good for us. We needed a place to sleep and shower in the morning. It was fine. The manager was very helpful, I read a horror story about another couple getting in after hours. I asked if I could get my room key earlier and he let me.( the room wasn’t ready but it didn’t matter to us since we would be back til late.

I always stay here when I visit Connecticut. They have upgraded each time I visit. The rooms are clean and the sheets and towels are fresh. It is a basic room with no frills. It is close to the highway, there is noise, but I enjoy it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will continue to come back each time I visit.

Great motel all around and delivers on its promise of providing accomodation. Room is serviced every day and they change everything. It's located in a very inconvenient part of Old Saybrook where you have to drive quite a bit to go anywhere. It is right by highway 95 which you can hear all night.

The inn is centrally located and a short drive from Niantic, Old Saybrook, and Essex. The only negative is that it's so close to the highway that you hear the traffic go by. It's not loud enough to drown out the television or anything, but it's definitely louder than white noise.

It was located close to where our function was. It was reasonably priced. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could use a fan. It was very close to I-95, so we did have some noise from that, but nothing the A/C unit or a small sound app on a phone coundn't cover. Perfectly fine for a short stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. It is a bit aged and could use a little tlc but just what we needed on a tight budget. Not happy that all of the two bed rooms were upstairs making it difficult for my elderly dad to walk the stairs. In addition, there were no coffee cups in room and no continental breakfast as advertised. If in area I might stay again if price was right.

Motels are expensive in the vicinity of East Haddam. This was the closest affordable place to stay while visiting. It was a clean decent place to stay. The continental breakfast had muffins croissants, bread to be toasted, 3 kinds of cold cereal milk and coffee.

This motel was very good for the price. It was clean, quiet, and just a short ride to places in Old Saybrook and Westbrook. But although it offers a free continental breakfast, the offerings are minimal. After my first breakfast at the motel, I ate out. Other than the breakfast, I enjoyed my stay.

Clean- most important. Relatively quiet for being so close to highway. Disappointed continental breakfast has been discontinued since COVID, yet their website still advertises it 3 years later. Overall a decent stay for the area.
