Clean room, comfy king bed, polite staff, appreciate the water bottle filling station!

This hotel was great. It was extremely Clean and very quiet. The only strange thing was that the office was closed from 10:00 pm till 6:00 am. I've never been at a hotel that did this.

I work in this town, which is 1.5 hrs from home for me. Sometimes when I just can’t make the drive home Ambassador is my home away from home. The clerk knows me by name. There is a fabulous Mexican restaurant next door that I simply walk to. The price is excellent comparatively to other hotels in this area. The property does not have a pool which may help drive their price. So if you’re a family with kiddos this might not suit your needs. But for weary travelers it is perfect.

My husband and I were so tired that we each took a room and were placed across the hall from each other. Both rooms were adequately furnished and supplied. The lobby is locked at night, so no stepping out to the car for a missed cord or device. There is a Tex/Mex restaurant across the parking lot for a quick meal and onsite vending machines for hydration.

No Gym. Breakfast was very limited but glad it opened at 6

Everything was great besides getting stuck in the elevator on the way to the 3rd floor it was great though we just used the stairs there rest of the stay

No hand towels or wash cloths in room. Lobby doors locked until 6 am. No instructions on how to leave before that time. Very limited breakfast selections. Desk staff was very efficient.

The parking was great and we enjoyed the Mexican restaurant near by. Lisa at the front desk was great. She was friendly and professional. We enjoyed talking with her. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will be back!

I enjoyed the room with the sitting space was great. We didn't like the room being so close to the exit door, which was slamming all night and all morning. I left my keys at the desk and left, because no one was at the desk. Thanks.

The hotel was out of date, and was not clean. There were hairs on the bathroom floor and in the tub/shower. The bedding smelled musty and the sheets/pillow cases were a scratchy cotton. The free breakfast was almost non existent. Coffe, juice, oranges, cold cereal and expired milk. Will NEVER stay here again.

We found a HUGE COCKROACH crawling in our room. My daughter was scared and I was grossed out, so we packed our stuff up and checked out a day early. The front desk never apologized. Management never refunded the night we did not stay. I am beyond disguisted with the whole experience. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

The TV in the room was not working. I was told that it was new and it needed a remote that they had in the office. This was an easy fix. However, went to use the bathroom and there was no toilet paper, no soap, shampoo, or body wash. Beds were very uncomfortable, and room was dated and needed repairs. Front desk person seemed to be annoyed that we asked for these things. We were not allowed to enter the hotel through the lobby. You had to check in at a window in a corridor between the outside and lobby where they gave you a key. Then we were told to go back outside in the cold and enter through the door that was right next door to the front entrance. Our room was literally right outside the lobby in the hall. It made no sense. We did not even eat the breakfast. It was not inviting at all. They had mini donuts and mini muffins, waffle mix, and plain cereal. I did not take notice, but they may have had fruit and yogurt, not sure. Breakfast area was a very small room. The only advantage was that there were many restaurants nearby. We were only there to sleep after a 17-hour drive, or we would have probably changed hotels.

The room was very clean, and the beds were VERY comfortable. Overall, for an older hotel, we were very pleased.

Spotless room, excellent service

First of all, and most important of all, there was a hypodermic needle and syringe in the tissue holder. Thank God that neither my husband or myself put our hands in to try and grab a tissue. Second, there were shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower area and both of those were completely empty, and there was a single, open plastic cup in the bathroom for water. Third, the curtains were so worn and damaged that light shone in through the black out curtains. In any other circumstances, I would have refused such a room. However, due to traffic, we did not arrive until after midnight and it was my understanding that the hotel was completely booked. If my husband had not injured his foot on the way to the hotel, we would have left and gone home, but he needed to rest, and it was non-refundable. We stayed to rest for a few hours and left very early to go to the emergency room. I will say that the receptionist was very kind and courteous upon check-in, but the state of the room could not have been quickly improved with a call to the front desk. I hope that you will take all of these matters into consideration and rectify the issues. In particular, the needle in the bathroom which is a major health hazard.

There were two roaches in the bathroom. I asked the front desk for spray or help and they said there was nothing they could do. She was not helpful or cared. This hotel charged $500+a night for Family Weekend with roaches. Do not stay here.

The room was ok. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The breakfast consisted of 2 cereal dispenser, a few muffins and mini powered donuts and some yogurt.

Staff was fine. Room had an empty Kleenex dispenser, two empty soap dispensers, and an empty shampoo dispenser. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pathetic-- coffee in an urn that had to be refilled often, poor and scant choice of "pastries" and no fruit. It did have waffle maker and Rick hard oleo.

Only smoking room available upon check in; TV did not work till staff came to fix it; carpet ripped in middle of the room; but, room cooled off nicely and we got a good night's sleep.

Older but well maintained property. Rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds. Great value for price paid.

No ac very weak

Fantastic bed, big bathroom and room! The pillows weren’t fluffy, but the bed was so comfortable. The hallways were clean, but the cleaning product aroma was strong and not pleasant. The breakfast was basic but good.

The room was very clean, and the beds were VERY comfortable. Overall, for an older hotel, we were very pleased.

I was in room 101 which was by a mechanical room. There was a very loud vibrating noise every minute or so. When I was checking out I told them about the noise. The man at the deck asked me if I was in room 101 without even knowing I was which room I was in. Obviously this is a known issue with staying in that room. The handle on the inside of the bathroom also came off in my hand. Terrible breakfast also...and I'm not very picky.

Great room, comfortable bed, and a decent table for the computer. Chairs in the room were showing their age, but they were sturdy and comfortable.

The property is fine but very dated and could use an upgrade. Our room had issues - ripped carpeting, holes in the shades, tv didn’t work, etc.

This is our go-to place to stay. Always clean. The staff are amazingly friendly.

The front desk lady was very nice and was able to recommend local restaurants for me. The gentleman at the breakfast was also very kind and helpful.

The hotel was fine, clean, quiet and comfortable. My only issue was with the staff. I don't normally complain about the staff as long as the hotel was good, but the lady that checked me in, after waiting around about 5 minutes for her to come to the front desk was just flat out rude. Upon checking out, four staff members walked by me, acknowledged that I wanted to check out and just walked outside. Nobody came to the front desk even though I waited several more minutes. Doubtful I will ever stay there again.

First time at this property, friendly front desk staff, parking is access, housekeepers are a helpful hand

The manager on duty was friendly at first, I originally reserved a non smoking room but I decided to change to smoking because of my friend but once we got to room it was horrible. Carpet was torn, the lounge chair had stains so I asked for non smoking room. He was rude and told me I need to pay $60 deposit, so I did but when we left I made sure he checked the room to make sure I wouldn’t have a problem getting my deposit back. Breakfast was limited. We asked for extra towels and he was rude about that. The bed was comfortable. The only way I will stay at this place again is if there were no other rooms available.

Check in staff was very helpful and personable and it took less than five minutes to get checked in. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Will stay here again when in Tuscaloosa!

I’ve stayed here many times for football games. I was pleased that the hotel seemed cleaner and nicer than it had the last couple of years. In facet everything was great until shortly before checkout time. I’m a late sleeper so I don’t check out until close to checkout time. I didn’t appreciate a staff member banging on my door before checkout time telling me to leave.

Location accessible, Restaurant and shopping 5 to 10 minutes away.

Excellent, safe spot for Game Day lodging if you missed out on the hotels closest to the University.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. It’s in a great location-close to restaurants and shopping. Staff at the front desk are nice and friendly. If I was coming back to the area, I’d stay again.

Overall we liked our stay at the Ambassador Inn. It's located in a very convenient area, close to major roads and restaurants. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. We did peek our heads into the breakfast room in the morning, and as we expected, the options for the continental breakfast were very basic and limited, so we went down the road and had a good breakfast at a fast food restaurant. Overall the hotel is good value for the price.

Hotel was located where we needed it and easy access. Breakfast was extremely limited even for a continental breakfast.2nd morning they were out of coffee and waffle mix .

Everything was fantastic. My only disappointment was the breakfast. There is definitely a picture of a waffle maker in the pictures of the breakfast. However, the breakfast was 2 kinds of cereal, very small muffins, bananas, tangerines and yogurt. Everything else was excellent for the value

The overall experience was good. However, only offering a small muffin for breakfast was ridiculous.

Breakfast was nearly non existent. I wasn’t expecting much to begin with, but other than a bowl of cereal, there were three muffins and transparent brown coffee that was undrinkable. No soap bars in the bathroom, just some shower gel that you couldn’t even get to suds up. Ridiculously overpriced even if it was graduation weekend for what we received.

Breakfast was very limited. Not much available each morning.

best value stay in tuscaloosa. breakfast not much at all, coffee also needs improvement, vwery clean and comfortable rooms in nice area with good restaraunts close by.only 5 minutes from u a sports.
