Jacuzzi was cold and Not warm or hot. Just a giant bubble machine with luke warm water. Towels had hairs all over them. Toilets barley flush and take 3 to 4 minutes to fill. Entry door to room has 1 inch gap the length of the door. All electrical outlets very odd places like behind the mirror in bathroom by the door. Breakfast was wet corn beef hash they charge for parking no elevator. Sliding barn door for bathroom you can see and hear anyone in the bathroom in the room. Loud cleaning crew on cell phones in parking lot during the day.

It was a nice hotel. The pool and breakfast was good. It's just across the road from the beach. There are a lot of cute restaurants nearby. The room was fine and we had no issues during our stay. They do charge $10 per night to park.

The only negative thing I can say is the breakfast was not good at all. The cereal containers stayed empty along with the milk. There was no one tending to the breakfast area. Also the parking is not the best and you will be charged $10 a night per vehicle.

Front desk check in easy and room looked clean. There were bugs on the bed and in the sheets. We took photos and video. We told the front desk, got a different room 4 doors down and found similar bugs. When staff came to check out our come, they accused us of bringing the bugs to the rooms! We showed them the photos and videos. We did not stay at this hotel. They canceled our reservation and did not charge us. They didn’t help us locate a place to stay either. It was a horrific 2 hr experience with this Best Western.

Stayed one night on 05/03/2024. Did the usual quick check for bugs and of course I missed seeing them until I stripped the whole bed before leaving. Came across three BED BUGS. I reported it to front desk immediately and checked out shortly after. I was told I could call back later in the day for an update. When I called about 8 hrs later there was a different person and she didn’t realize I had that issue and told me to call back on Tuesday when the manager was in…. That’s three whole days later. Not only were there bed bugs, but nobody could call me same day to discuss my issue. Would not stay here again.

We have never stayed at a Best Western before. We gave it a try because it said 3 min walk to beach and the reviews said Excellent. 3 min walk to beach lead us to believe it was beachside. It MIGHT be 3 min. to beach AFTER you cross a hot, busy main street. Actually no, not even then. The floors felt like they were mopped with mud water. Gritty and grimey. My shoes stuck to them. Our room overlooked the parking lot which included constant foot traffic and yelling guests. The corners of the room, bathroom and bathroom tiles were black from mildew stain. The pool is very small. A woman there talked on speaker the entire time we sat by the pool until we just couldn’t stand it anymore and we left. The front desk clerk didn’t crack a smile. He acted like he just wanted to get through the day. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t enjoy their job. That should have been our first clue on what this property would be like. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and the young man who worked in housekeeping was very polite, accommodating and friendly. My favorite thing is giving good reviews. I wish I could have done that here.

We had two rooms. Generic and clean until a cockroach ran across the front counter under the TV. We killed it. Told the front desk and asked for an adjustment. Because we booked through Expedia, I was told there was nothing they could do.

The floors haven’t been mopped in who knows how long. My 2 year old took a bath and walked around for 2 minutes and the bottom of his feet were black! We had to clean his feet with a rag before putting him to bed. Rooms should be swept and mopped after every use. I can only imagine what else wasn’t clean and sanitized.

The property has been recently renovated but the rooms lack lighting and electrical outlets. We had a king bed and one side had a light and one outlet, the other side had no light and no outlets. The desk had no outlets. Very poor design. The breakfast was adequate but there was only one waste bin. No waste bin by the coffee area so you were left managing your waste from the cup, creamer and sugars and carting them across the room to the waste. Staff was cordial but not friendly. Parking was tight and newly $10 per day which is not on their site. Great location but I would not stay again.

Stayed in the one bedroom suite. It was huge!! It had a full kitchen, livingroom, separate bedroom, private bathroom and balcony! It was like an apartment and everything was very clean. TV's were located in both livingroom and bedroom with a good selection of channels.The hotel is literally across the street from the beach and ocean! Lots of restaurants, a few shops and a pier very walkable from the hotel. There is a grocery store (Publix) within a 5 minute drive of the hotel to make full use of the kitchen. Staff was wonderful, helpful and very present on site. Room was cleaned every day (which is rare these days) and bathroom was adequately stocked with towels, soap and shampoo. It was evident the room had recently been remodeled, which was nice. The only "downside" was the suite is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator so you do have to climb 2 flights of stairs. Access to the rooms is from the outside as well. (Old motel style facility) Breakfast was provided but it was very basic. I stayed for 6 nights so after so many days, I was getting tried of what was offered. These things would not deter me from saying here again!

The main problem I had with the room was the poor lighting. There was only one nightstand lamp and one corner lamp in the bedroom. The desk was great - but had no lighting and no outlets within about 4-5 feet, a bad design. I had to buy an extension cord and small lamp to use the desk. Also a number of other issues here: no lid on the toilet; very low water pressure in the shower; a non-working refrigerator (which the manager replaced with a new one quickly). The bed was comfortable and the location was good, but the room definitely needed updating.

First, I would like to say that the manager, James was wonderful! Very polite and accommodating. I had a last-minute family situation and needed to check out early, and he was extremely understanding, and I was not charged for the extra nights for leaving early. The room was clean and large. The hotel was right across the street from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Would stay again!

I can’t think of anything negative about this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Check in and check out was easy. It’s in a great location. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff kept the property very clean despite the renovations going on. The hotel was convenient to the beach, several restaurants and downtown. We chose to take the trolley which worked well for us. We did not realize that there was no elevator when we requested a king size bed. There are no kings on the first floor so we had two queens which made the room a bit crowded.

Front desk was a bit rude. The toilet in our room would not flush only to be told the best he could do was plunge it. No tourist information or any helpful information about the area was given at check in. Room was very clean! Pool and hot tub were enjoyable.

The hotel rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The pool area and hotel grounds were lovely. It is a short drive to the historic part of St. Augustine. There were very good restaurants in the area and several were just a short walk away. The hotel is an easy walk to several of the beach access points. The beach was beautiful! It is a very long beach and very wide too. I would stay again.

Great location-walking distance to about 5-10 different dining options, hotel is right across from the beach, about a 3 minute walk. Publix and Winn-Dixie are just a short 3 minute drive away. Check-in was fast, and all staff members were super friendly and always asking how your stay is going. Free parking was great for us. The hotel has free beach towels, too! There is a free breakfast available from 7-10AM with a decent amount of choices (hard boiled eggs/a meat choice/hot and dry cereal/1 waffle maker/toaster items/coffee and juice) which is in the small lobby and can get pretty crowded, so I would suggest going early, not stuffing your face to be mindful of the fact it is free. The pool area is very small with a lot of kids, so we opted for the beach instead. Bed was very comfortable and linens were clean and cozy-they have great pillows! Shower was good with good water pressure. Room was a bit dated but you are at the beach. The floor in the room is laminate, not carpet, just an FYI(we saw a family carrying sleeping bags and I just thought oh those kids aren’t going to be very comfy). Will definitely stay here again!

The property itself is well-maintained. A lot of work has gone into beautifying the grounds, and pool area. The rooms and bathrooms were updated a couple of years ago. The rooms are a good size and clean. There is a smell…. Some rooms are worse than others, it is a combination of paint and mildew or mold. The breakfast is not particularly great… it’s fine and they do pay attention to keep everything stocked.

Nice location in the middle of St Augustine beach. Convenient access to beach area(<5 min walk) Lobby area was very nice and staff was excellent. Facility was, meh. Bedside lights didn't work. Bathroom light stopped working over shower, toilet barely flushed, even if it was just water. Outside door had a 1/8" gap around the entire door but, it was very difficult to get closed and if you didn't pay attention the door would not catch and could be pushed open. Room was very, very damp. Probably as a result of the door gap, but, it is St. Augustine. I expect humidity in rooms here, but it was a little excessive, even by Savannah standards. I wasn't expecting the Waldorf Astoria, but it could be better maintained. Location, staff, and cleanliness made up for the shortcomings. A different room may have changed everything, who knows.

Great place and so close to the beach! Just crossed the street and we were there in 5 minutes. Very convenient. Restaurants on the same side as hotel and easy to walk to. Many choices as well. Hotel is nice and clean. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was nice and better than a boring continental breakfast like most others offer. Great place for families. Highly recommended. We’ll be staying here again.

This property was very clean and we loved that we could walk down to the beach in 1 minute!! The rooms were too small to walk by eachother by the beds, and the bathroom door was a sliding barn door with no lock inside, or even a handle inside the bathroom! Theres always a 4 inch gap to the room when you are going to the bathroom. The breakfast was mediocre at best - not amazing by any means like some of the reviews here claimed. If you're not picky, or are a child, you'll love it. (For example, fake syrup only, frozen half thawed fruit, eggs possibly from a bag or something?? Sausages that looked like sliced hot dogs). The room was very clean though and the beds very comfortable with lots of pillows! Pool area was great and clean as well.
