The property was very nice and close to the stadium (SECU Stadium). It was inconvenient having to walk from one building to the other in bad weather. There should be an enclosed walkway.

Teresa, who welcomed me at the front desk, provided exemplary service. Her smile and detailed customer service made me feel at home during my stay. The employees at the restaurant in the lobby facilitated my dining needs with quality cuisine. The gym was clean and the employee greeted me and handed me a towel as I walked into the workout facility. Overall, the atmosphere of this Marriott was pleasant and relaxing.

I enjoyed my stay at College Park Marriott. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room and fitness area were clean. Ample parking available in the parking garage. I would stay again and try to hotel restaurant next time.

We stayed on the conference side of hotel. Bright clean lobby and restaurant. Food very good but service slow. There was a large group meeting Thursday and Friday who were so loud in restaurant, hallways….we would have preferred staying on hotel side. On top of that, there was some type of slamming and banging beneath our bedroom beginning at 5 AM each morning plus construction outside. The beeping the trucks made constantly backing up mimicked the sound of an alarm clock and it was impossible to sleep past 6 AM if the banging hadn’t already woken you below the room. Appearance of hotel beautiful but the stay a “C” at best. There was even feces on the top side of the toilet in Beth room do there was no way it was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. On a positive note, the staff in The Common was professional and kind….from our waitress to Eric, who delivered our food each day.

Not only have we stayed at hotels lately that don't clean our room, but they don't even give us enough towels. The service here was great! Room cleaned every day and plenty of fresh towels and such a friendly staff.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff (front desk & cleaning crew) were very professional and friendly. We arrived early due to travel plans, and they were able to accommodate with a room. Our room was clean and quiet even though it faced the roadway. There was some major roadwork going on but only heard muffled noise when they were jackhammering the roadway. They appear to have decent windows and blackout shades for guest comfort. Construction ended by 5pm and the room was quiet. The garage parking was free which is a bonus. Overall, we were satisfied and would recommend the hotel to others.

The room and bathroom was extremely small. When I said something at the front desk I was told that was the discount king room, for an upcharge I could have had a typical room. Not what I expeceted for booking thru Expedia or from a Marriot conference center!

My experience at this hotel was somewhat unique. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I arrived much later than expected and needed to leave far earlier than planned so I only spent about 8 hours in the hotel 5.5 of which was sleep. I got an upgrade (of course on my shortest stay ever) and the room was very spacious and had all the amenities one would expect. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of electrical outlets that were easily accessible. The desk was more a show piece rather than being practical. I didn't get a chance to even turn on the TV but they were nicely mounted and angled. The only negative thing I can say is that the room's coffee pod machine was a disaster. The machine was very finnicky and at one point just shot water with a 'pop' all around it covering a circle of a foot or two in each direction. I was lucky I had no electronics or anything important nearby. Once it actually started working, the temperature was adequate.

I stayed here for 6 days to visit family in Hyattsville. The building is fully LEED certified, quite clean, and the rooms are modern and tidy while the building suits the classic architecture of the UMGC campus. The room I had was a king room, and a bit small. One downside was there wasn't a lot of desk space and the options for seating were the armchair or the ottoman (ie no desk-specific chair). However, customer service was great and the room was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

The desk staff were so polite and professional. They were just amazing. I had booked three rooms which I paid for, for a business trip for three people, including myself flying in from different US states. They upgraded me to a nicer room, and also upgraded one of my special guests from their room to a better room. I can’t really remember being treated better by hotel staff anywhere. As far as improvement, the pillows smelled not so great. You might want to replace the pillows or have them thoroughly cleaned.

An excellent facility that is well staffed. It's a little out of the way if you're planning to be in downtown Washington but it's also nice for that reason. Good dining options around the hotel and great service.

We stayed at this property due to the location at the University of Maryland. Football weekend and I’m not sure if they were aware that a game was taking place a 1/2 mile away. If we were to stay in College Park again, it would be at another property, look at the newer “ The Hotel “

The staff were wonderful other than in the restaurant. We stayed at this Marriott last year and found the quality better than this year. I was surprised to find no microwave in our room and the fridge froze everything! The service in the bar/restaurant was slow and a cup of very expensive coffee was not very good quality. We choose this Marriott for convenience, but may rethink it for future stays. The location can’t be beat, but it was lacking in other areas.
