Cambria Hotel College Park

The place is lovely. The only issue is that you can smell sewage in the elevator, hallway and first floor bathroom.

We enjoy with family and student ay UMD. Very close to campus. Restaurants near hotel facilities. Nice surroundings.

I liked the self-service laundry.

Went to check in only to be told that they overbooked the hotel and they were making arrangements to have me sent to another hotel across town. My stay was for two nights and after checking into the other hotel, I was told I had to check out after one night. After having to cancel reservations because I couldn’t leave the hotel to ensure that they would secure my second night and didn’t want to leave all my belongings in the room in case they weren’t able to do it over an hour on the phone and they finally were able to secure the second night I would absolutely not recommend staying at this hotel. They can’t guarantee your reserved room. I received an email from the hotel the day before my check-in to confirm they had my reservation. Unfortunately, this is becoming more common practice as hotels are over booking just like Airlines I will never stay at this hotel or its chains.

Great location for any visitors to the University of Maryland. The Hotel is well maintained and comfortable, however it had the worst Wi-Fi of any hotel I've been in the last few years. My iPad just did not like it; my security did not like it. The parking is very quirky and annoying. I paid for overnight parking at the front desk but the automated system in the garage didn't know that and the only way to get out was to call the vendor and complain. I'm still getting hounded by the garage system for "not paying". The hotel does get a lot of U of M visitors, including lots of sports teams and conference/seminar attendees so it can get loud and crowded. No breakfast restaurant is a bit inconvenient but forces you to go to a better place anyway!
