Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah/Midtown

They are doing construction and the pool is closed. We would not have stayed if we had known that.

Pro: Cleaning staff was very attentive and quickly took care of needs. Con: Parking garage at night was dimly lit and there was no security on duty.

The hotel had us booked the weekend and not tell us. The pool was not working. We attempted to cancel and get our money back. But they charged us anyway.

Overall a nice place to stay however if your splurging on having a heated indoor pool you will be highly disappointed. Pool was ice cold so only my youngest was brave enough to swim in it. Will have to pay for parking in their lot too $7 per night which is crazy.

Breakfast gave fresh and nice options for a hot breakfast too! Parking was easy and I felt safe.

There were only 2 elevators on the property and 1 was broken. That left one elevator for all of the guests and staff to use, leading to 10 minutes waits for the elevator.

The hotel has been in renovation since June and the pool, gym and the elevators show. The fire inspection for the elevator of the garage also lapsed in January of this year. For the price I paid (240) it should have been half for the inconvenience of not having the amenities usually accessible.

The only thing that I was unconfortable is that it said free parking but when I booked I received a mail saying it will be $7 per day, but at least they told me, after book but what can I did then.

Extremely nice hotel. My room was recently renovated, extremely clean. Will recommend this hotel to family and friends staying in Savannah.

My room was very dirty. There was what looked like dried pasta on the bathroom floor, poop smeared on bathroom door. Dust and grime everywhere.

The vent in the bathroom had a thimping sound all night while we slept. We didn't notice it when we checked into the room that night but cause we were moving bags, getting settled in and had the television on but it work be around d 1AM. Needless to say I didn't sleep well. Someone's string of hair was under the bed covers. Then I found a string of hair on the wall stuck to the tile in the bathroom. I won't book this place again.

The dog barking was the icing on the cake of having a room that wasn’t stocked or totally clean. I knew the property was under construction so was expecting some untidy areas. However the noise level was a bit much as well as lack of housekeeping . Go Ding other peoples trash & clipped finger nails is so disgusting. I save to be be able to take my daughter to her out of town meets & I appreciate hotels & brands that value im spending my hard earned money with them

Needed more cleaning.

The room was spacious. The rug could use a deep cleaning. The AC/heating system worked great. The bed was ok. Not my favorite as it needed a new mattress. The pillows were lumpy. But the worst part was the bathroom. The shower was full of mildew. It also smelled like a sewer which leads me to believe they do not clean the drain. Won’t stay here again.

This hotel does not meet the standards of a Hampton Inn. First, the good: The hotel is quiet. And the location is great, not far from the historic district and Tybee, and central to a lot of good restaurants and shopping. Our room was spacious. Now, the bad: * Horrible customer service. The front desk staff had zero customer service skills. They were unfriendly and unprofessional from the time we arrived until we left. And they were rarely behind the desk, but outside or taking breaks. They should not be working in any kind of hospitality. * Sink in room didn't work. Our room was a suite with a mini kitchen. The kitchen sink had no drain attached to it, which we didn't know, and discovered when we poured our drinks down the sink and they went all over the floor. There was no sign saying it was out of order, and no one mentioned it. You had to open the cabinet to see there was a rag stuffed into the pipe. * The shower gel was empty, we had to ask them to replace it. * Pillows were horribly uncomfortable. I got little sleep. * Sketchy environment. There was a couple in the garage, sitting on their car for hours, smoking pot. They were there when we left to go eat, and there when we came back. Plus, people came in off the street to eat the free breakfast. We know this because we heard them talking about it. The GOOD: The cleaning staff went above and beyond to make things right for us. Huge shoutout to Tee! The only thing that prevents me from giving them 1 star.

Air conditioning made loud noise night one. Bathroom vent made a loud banging sound all night two.

Hotel is getting run down. Lampshades frayed, elevators dirty and banged up. Our room smelled musty. Not the best place to stay.

We had an amazing stay. The room was clean (we just have an everyday battle with the door as you need to push/pull it hard to open and close) and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is the usual food that you get, but I am glad that they cook the eggs differently each day. The staffs are nice and friendly. The hotel is conveniently walking distance from restaurants and supermarket. It is also a 15-20 minutes drive to downtown. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely comeback!

Great location and staff. Construction work was going on but it didn’t interfere with our comfort. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our only two complaints are the air conditioner being very loud and our pillows being really flat. My husband was given new pillows when he went to the desk though.

Great stay. Started at the front desk immediately. Fabulous lady. Great personality. Horel was well maintained and clean. Room was spacious with comfortable bedding.

Hotel was very clean. You could smell carpets were recently changed. Staff were always asking if you needed something. My only complaint was the WiFi. The Hampton WiFi was unreachable in our room and we were given a promo code to access another but that WiFi dropped constantly. While in the lobby, another guest was complaining about the WiFi also. This should really be addressed as it seems like a known issue to staff.

We arrived after work so it was about 8:15. We got checked in and the receptionist wasn’t rude but not the friendliest. We got up to the room and settled in to find the tv not even powering on and half the outlets were unusable due to being painted over or painted and shifted. Very frustrating stay for $200.

Staff was very helpful at check-in, breakfast was great. Had to check out in the very early am (3:30am) and nobody was at the counter for in-person checkout

Service was excellent. The staff was nice, helpful, and friendly. I loved the convenience of the parking deck. It was a quick walk to get back into the building from it. The pool and other areas that were provided were all close together, so it wasn't any trouble to go down to them to use. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was very clean. The hotel was also very close to many restaurants, the mall, River Street, and other nice places to visit. The only downsides were the orange juice and sausage at breakfast as they tasted very strange. The AC would also cut off randomly when we'd wanted to keep it on all night. Overall though, our stay was enjoyable! I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again in the future.

Staff wasn’t very helpful or tentative when asking for help.

Charmaine was absolutely wonderful! She provided us with outstanding customer service! All special requests were honored and I highly recommend this hotel!

Unprofessional. Mumbling and never gave me eye contact no smile. I felt like I was disturbing her.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Charmaine went out of her way to correct the reservation mistake. She must have worked on that for a few hours. In the end she resolved it

Horrible customer service. Tile busted out int he floors. Not clean. A complete nightmare with checkin.

Location isn’t the best however property and price id amazing. Just far enough away from downtown to not have to pay the outrageous prices but close enough to Uber or Lyft and not brake the bank! Deff will stay again when in Savannah

This hotel is very clean, Shopping and good food options walkable distance, It is quiet, and out of the way. parking was easy and only a few feet from the entrance. Its not walkable to the attraction area but just reserve transportation from the tour groups and you're set.

There was mold on the shower doors. Not many towels in the room. The breakfast was fantastic!

The breakfast was almost the same daily, only changing the meat. A simple bowl of salsa and some grated cheese could doctor up the same scrambled “eggs”.

Food service was only average for the morning breakfast. Regular coffee was empty one morning and staff had to be reminded and some food items were not very hot.
