My family and I stayed here for a wedding at Ballara in Eltham. Room was very clean. Quiet area. Room was nice and warm overnight. Bed was comfortable. Sufficient amount of soap, shampoo, conditioner. House keeping was great also. The beautiful garden ideal for a small wedding. Don't let the antique furniture put you off. Would recommend to anyone to stay here.

the motel is nice except there is no parking to get into your own motel when they have a wedding function on there.All the guests to the wedding took all the parks when we got back to the motel

The staff from start to finish were amazing! Marie was very helpful and personal! The housekeeping staff were great! Easy to use bus , close by to get into the CBD. Breakfast was only available on certain days.

All staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. The room is very clean, quiet and spacious. The property has a lot of parking spaces and very easy to park except in some wedding occasions. The property is easy to access if you drive and is just a few minutes drive either to Box Hill or Westfield shopping centre at Doncaster. Otherwise, it will be a 15 minutes walk to shopping or to have a meal. It is strongly recommended that the property should consider to install a slide shower curtain on the bath tub to replace the current ones to prevent water from splashing on the floor when taking showers.

Room was advertised as kitchenette. There was a sink a kettle and a microwave with dishes but no stove top. Their literature in the room states food preparation is against the law. Ok so why advertise a kitchenette?Staff leaves at 4 pm no one that I could find after that. There was an ant infestation as well. Power was out for mor than 6 hors on one of the mornings.

Good location close to lots of restaurants within an easy quick drive. Good access to the motorway to Melbourne city. Although the furniture was older style the room was very clean and comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay here as a family. Gorgeous gardens to explore with the kids.

This was an okay stay, I like the hotel location and the grounds, it was let down by cleaning and cleanliness though, I needed more the attention to cleaning my room each day. The bed wasn’t made on day 1, there was a spider still crawling in it’s web by the mirror of the bathroom even after housekeeping had been through, there was debris in the cupboard by the refrigerator etc. It let down the rest of the experience.

I believe its priced a bit high due to having a wedding venue attached to it. However, the overall condition of the room and services weren't the best. Cob webs and spiders in the bathroom, the spa bath hadn't been used in a while and rust and dirt came out of the jets initially, the paint was peeling off of the roof. It had some things to fix. I liked being able to catch the 906 bus into Melbourne CBD from a bus stop 20m down the road. But honestly believe its worth under $100 a night. I would only stay here again if they remedied the issues highlighted and dropped the price per night.

What I liked: - Location: the property is right near the freeway to the city and there's a bus that goes to the city also if you don't feel like driving. There's also many parks and shopping centres around a 10km radius from the area. - Parking: There is sufficient parking for all the guests, if you can't park right where the reception is, there's many extra parkings around the back. - Breakfast available: We didn't try the breakfast but they give you a checklist you can fill out with what you would like to order. Checking in and out: Super easy process to check in and out of property. What I didn't like: Loud neighbours and other guests: Several guests smoke right near your area all night, smashing doors and screaming children. The property also came with no water which was a shame, we had to buy several bottles from the shop, not the end of the world but kinda annoying. Mould: There's lots of mould and dust in the property, causing a real activation of allergens overnight.

Good location from the airport. Rooms budget but ok. Be careful when you book a refurbished room as we didn’t get one initially and the old rooms are in a poor condition. Cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. Parking facilities free and easy to find.

I wish that we were aware of the noise due the wedding venue right next to our room. Also the plumbing is so noisy, that it will wake you up when guests next door have showers after midnight. Its just very noisy to have quiet sleep, as we stayed for a week due our working commitment. Otherwise older building, clean, parking available, location good just the noise was the issue for us.

Outdated room with dodgy appliances and a non working spa, toilet leaked the whole time we were there, broken blind and a big dent in the wall. Poorly lit at night made it feel unsafe to walk around the exterior of the building. Don’t think we’ll be back again

Not happy that we were given the key at arrival only to find that upon entry to the room that it hadn’t been cleaned. Told we would need to wait half an hour, despite the fact that it was already 3 pm and check in is supposed to begin at 2pm. Very tired room decor which needs an update.

Front desk weren't the most friendly but the cleaner was. I stayed 3 nights and each day my room was cleaned. The cleaner also offered to carry my bags to my room. Tv didn't work in room, i called the reception but no one answered. Reception was closed at 9am on Monday so the cleaner took my key so i could check out. Talk about a staff member that goes above and beyond. I hope she is treated well, paid well and valued well

Although this is an older style property my room was spotless and comfortable.The house keeping staff are excellent. Rachel would do well to educate herself about the surrounding area. I asked “Which bus would take me into town?” before arriving to book in and again when I booked in and “How long it would take to walk to the nearest shops?”. The response was the same on both occasions, ‘I don’t know, I don’t live around here’!! This is the kind of information travellers would expect the receptionist to know or at the very least to find out. The ease and regular service of the 25 min bus ride into town and the close proximity of the bus stop is also essential marketing information for the website which makes the location a lot more appealing. This is also essential information for the Guest information sheet provided in the room. The Guest sheet mentioned a number of places to contact but there was no phone number?!!

The room was great for 5 nights. Comfortable and clean and tidy. We did get a fair bit of noise come through the front door on one night from some excitable youngsters who were there for a wedding event but other than that it was a relaxing and easy place to stay. It would take us 35ish minutes to drive into the city
