Standard budget hotel suitable for overnight stay. Tired carpet and furnishings, but generally clean Charged $75 through Travelodge for 3 nights carpark but would have been much cheaper paying carpark direct. Kitchenette very basic. Hotel position good and allows for quiet nights

Location was excellent right near Southern Cross Station and Marvel Stadium. Not far to Crown Casino. Breakfast on premise was a good selection except for the coffee. Lifts are old and make a racket. Get a room away from them.

Travelodge is ideally placed next to Southern Cross Station. The lifts down to the Travelodge need more signposting, however. I wandered around for quite a while (and couldn't use the stairs as had too much luggage).

Property states ‘parking’ when it does not. There is parking available nearby, but not on the property. I find this deceptive behaviour, and for that reason, Travelodge will be far less than my first choice for docklands accomodation. Maybe it’s a Wotif issue? I did book Travelodge with carking through Wotif. Is Wotif being deceptive?

The rooms were clean and perfect proximity to Docklands. 2 working elevators is not enough to service a building of this size. Wait times were long after an event, at breakfast time and during check in.

Good clean room very close to amenities. Room had most of what I needed- i think a toaster would have rounded off the basic amenities nicely though i can appreciate that people might end up burning things and setting off alarms!! Only downside was the tea cups were not clean- its fine that i should be cleaning what i ise during my stay but then ataff should ensure the previous guest/s cleaned the cutlery and crockery properly before putting in another guest into the space. Tea bags were also not restocked when the room was cleaned. Otherwise it is a great location and i would stay again.

When we arrived in our hotel room there was an old hot ship under the bed just sticking out and on the floor near the table was dried up tomato seeds on the floor and table. They came and cleaned it up the next day but didn’t clean the table. This just proves they don’t clean the room correctly they just do what they think people can see. And then ok the last night of staying they made the bed up but didn’t change the towels over or empty all the bins only one of them.

The hotel was a bit tired and cleanish. There were signs of previous guest with sticky fingerprints on the bed side table, the carpet heavily stained. Whle the cost and location was great. I won't be staying here next time.

A cheap stay, but not cheap enough. We booked this as we just needed a bed to sleep in for the night, we weren't fussed on views or location. This was the cheapest we could find. Unfortunately, our bed sheets had either blood or something smeared across them. There were multiple long hairs on the pillows and in the bed. The shower was dirty, possibly mouldy, with hairs in the drains and on the walls of the shower. The bench where the kettle sits was sticky and the kettle was mouldy. Service from staff was good, the location isn't great - there's not much in walking distance. We're glad we were only staying one night. When we called for fresh sheets, there were no questions asked and a fresh sheet was sent straight up to our room. From now on, even if we only need a bed for the night, we won't be taking any chances.

Immediately a bit disappointed as the room did not appear to be cleaned, linens changed perhaps, but not much else. Ended up wiping things down myself. All things considered the stay was fine, easy access to things as necessary.

Room was good upon arrival. Staff were great. However really disappointed by the quality of Housekeeping. Bed not made properly. Cup not washed. Toilet not cleaned 2 days in row until I had to call reception to please action. Really disappointing considering I made an effort to keep the room tidy for Housekeeping.

We regularly use this hotel because of its location next to the station and have never been disappointed until now. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our last stay. The carpet in our room had holes in several places, one of the bedside tables was in poor condition, the sink was cracked and everything looked worn out, in the tissue box we had a neatly folded tissue that covered an empty box… hardly worthy of a room costing $203/night.

Room was not serviced properly daily, dirty plates and glasses were left each day for our entire stay and not taken or replaced. Had to call reception for new glasses. Only 1 towel refreshed at a time. had a room service call on Sunday at 9:30am, we were still sleeping so the room attendant handed us a towel and bathmat without checking what we actually needed and never came back to clean/ service the room after we had left for the day. Water in the shower would also constantly go really hot and then cold every 30 seconds during showers.

The hotel was near the Docklands and useful for work. But it was let down by really poor WiFi. Even the paid version was unreliable. The staff were friendly and did their best but the owners really need to upgrade their WiFi. I am a regular traveler and this was the worst I’ve seen in at least 10 years and that is not an exaggeration. The staff were good enough to refund the extra cost I paid for the WiFi and I really cannot fault the front desk. On another note breakfast was very average. They didn’t even have yogurt for 6-7 days and my colleague complained they there were no pastries at least once. He was also frustrated with the Wi-Fi. Rooms were spacious and clean. So if your a local and only need the hotel and have your own data its probably fine.

Overall the hotel was great, my room had a desk. Shower was great but the bathroom was a tiny bit dated / battle scarred, it was still good, the room itself was excellent. King bed was two single beds stuck together, which I don't like, and wish it wasn't a thing. Only two complaints were, the noise from being directly next to the station, it wasn't horrible, and I was fine with it, but it was still there. At 3pm I struggled to find a coffee shop in the immediate vicinity and needed to walk a little bit.

Ratty carpet - room 1321 has no carpet left infront of the mini bar. Curtains are yellowed from age. The worst part is, when we got back to the hotel (two single beds) after a concert at Marvel, I hopped into bed around midnight only for the whole bed to tip backwards. It turns out the bed was missing a leg!! Upon advising staff this morning on check out I told the staff who provided a nonchalant “I’ll advise our maintenance team” Average service at best, terrible hotel that desperately needs attention. Only positive was the 5 min walk back from the stadium. Absolutely not worth the $400/night that we paid.

We had a triple bed room, the beds were very hard, especially the middle one which also creaked badly whenever the person moved. There was only one pillow for each bed, no spares to choose from for different softness. One of the pillows was very hard and high which for me was unsuitable. On arrival we were told to ask for our VIP bonus, the staff didn’t know what that was and so there was no bonus.

Major check in issue, spent over an hour in line, couldnt find our reservation on the list to then get to our room and our key wouldnt work. Got a new key later that evening that worked. The bed also wasnt all that comfortable which was disappointing Pretty disappointed all round this time

The check in process was so slow, I had to wait in line for ~ 35 mins and then when I was served and was checking in, even though I had pre-booked, it took the staff 10 minutes to essentially go through the whole booking process again as I had to fill out forms etc. Not a great experience.

Stayed for the formula 1, easy access to the Southern Cross Trams. Staff went above & beyond, and were extremely professional in trying circumstances. Felt very much at home, and was the perfect base for our week in Melbourne. Rooms were quiet, clean, and well maintained.

Check in was terrible one of the two ladies at the front desk repeatedly kept stopping to check people in when the line was over 10 people deep to serve snacks , when we finally did get to the front desk she kept repeating herself , also didn’t register our room key properly so when we finally did get up to our room the key didn’t work so we had to go back down and go through it all again

The room is nice for oldest people like us, but just get only one chair ( for 2 people ) The staff ( Anissa & Marry ), they are really excellent, very helpful, friendly❤️ Very recommended and we will back again

The hotel has a great location, just a few minutes from Southern Cross Station, which is very convenient. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. However, the organization was a mess. I had reserved a three-bed room, but when I checked in, they gave me a single-bed room without informing me. I only realized the mistake when I entered the room. After returning to the front desk, they corrected it and gave me the room I originally booked. The real issue happened the next day. The hotel gave my room to someone else, and these guests were trying to open my door. Thankfully, I had used the manual lock. When I spoke to them, they said the front desk had assigned them this room. When I brought this up with hotel staff, they admitted they had a software issue and didn't know which rooms were occupied, so they were just assigning rooms randomly—hoping they were free. This is completely unacceptable. I stayed for two nights, and while the location and cleanliness were good, the poor management and lack of proper room assignments made the experience stressful. Would only recommend staying here if they fix their booking system.

We stayed for 2 nights. We were in Melbourne for a concert at Marvel Stadium. 5 minute walk. Perfect location for a city stay. Easy walking distance to South Wharf and Public Transport. Ticket a number of boxes for us. Will stay again.

The hotel was adequate enough: the rooms were clean and comfortable, but nothing special. Staff were friendly, but the small foyer area was not inviting and not really adequate for meeting with friends/colleagues.There was no food service within the hotel, apart from breakfast, which was pretty unimpressive and I did not feel provided value for money. While close to more lively areas of Docklands, the immediate surroundings of the hotel (tucked in between office blocks and parking stations) are a bit dead, especially on weekends, and the options for eating out close by are limited (unless you are Ok with the offerings in Southern Cross station). Access to the hotel is not quite as convenient as it looks on the map, due to the way the streets run, and if you are coming from public transport (railway station or by tram) with luggage, you need to find the lifts to get down to the hotel, as its street is at a lower level than the main access routes.

Excellent location for Marvel Stadium, only a few minutes walk. Also only about 5 minutes walk from the tram station (it’s located in the free city zone). Friendly staff. Bathrooms need to be cleaned a bit better as they were stained and dirty. Shower took a long time to drain. Breakfast was limited, but very tasty.

Room was great but breakfast was terrible. There was limited tables, people were waiting too long for a table, we had to ask for a free table to be cleaned and door was scarce. Food was not readily available, waited awhile for it to be restocked and we had to ask for glasses to be restocked as well as there was none available for water, juices etc. no fruit choices either

Overall our stay was pleasant, however a few things overshadowed our experience. We had to line up for almost an hour to check in due to the high number of people arriving at the same time (Que was out the door & down the footpath when we arrived). There was a fire alarm but no communication, we just happened to come into the hallway to leave & all fire doors were closed, elevators were locked, we had to come down 11 flights of stairs & were greeted by 3 fire trucks - if there was an actual fire I don’t know if we would have known about it (very concerning). We went to the buffet breakfast where we waited almost 15 mins for any hot food to be brought out as the trays were empty - ended up leaving to find food elsewhere as there was a large number of people waiting for food. The room itself was nice. I think the hotel may have been unprepared for such a high volume of guests.
