The tv had only a few channels available and three were home shopping networks. The wifi was weak.

Very Hipster Neighborhood! Felt safe. Cleaning could be improved . Free Parking. $15 uber to the National Mall! Would stay again!

Clean and comfortable room. Gated parking. Many restaurants nearby.

The room was not very clean. That air conditioner had stuff blowing out of it, the TV had only two channels that worked pretty much home shopping Network and QVC channel. Wi-Fi was not that great either. Last time we stayed there a few years ago is a lot better

Good value hotel. Wifi wasn’t worming. My room was clean, short walk to public transit. Suited my needs for a cheap stay.

The unit was satisfactory but with few of the amenities usually expected, like a coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, etc. There was no coffee available in the lobby, and there was no dining room. The only services had to be asked for, like directions, a taxi, a wake-up (that didn't come), etc. On the whole, not a pleasant stay, and the surroundings were very dirty and unkempt. I was glad to be able to shorten my stay by one night.

Room was clean. Close to Metro. Free parking. Front desk personel were extremely helpful. Ice machine was inop, but front desk gave me ice from office. Excellent value for location.

The rooms were run down (e.g., cigarette stains on the bed covers) but everything in the room worked and was fairly clean. You get what you pay for. I was frustrated that the property's ice maker did not work.

This was without a doubt the grossest place I've ever stayed. There was mold on the shower curtain, the sheets were not washed, the tabletops had grime on them, the ceiling was so thin that every tiny movement from people above you resonates loudly through your own room, every single towel had mysterious streaks of brown and black PLUS random letters written in marker, and when you call, their phone line is always busy, disconnected, or it rings forever without being answered, and the desk is unmanned. Horrible place I will never stay at again. I will never stay at any Motel 6 again; it was that bad.

This place was an absolutely nightmare. Filthy walls, floors, linens, heater unit, and bathroom. Reeked of smoke & weed. The first room we were given reeked so badly of pot that my friend’s daughter went into an asthma attack 3 minutes in the door. 2nd & 3rd rooms smelled a bit better, but had un-mopped & unswept floors with spills & hair (not ours), dirt & god knows what smears & such on the walls & headboards, a ring in the toilet, & what looked like mud splatter on the shower curtain. Then there were the 2 beds. Both bedspreads were clearly dirty, with crusty stuff. The sheets on the left bed had blood stains & hair, & the sheets on the right bed & non-blood/fecal human discharge that was dried & flaking off. But, we were out of options so we went to the store & bought cleaning supplies & cleaned as best we could. When we showed the very nice cleaning lady the sheets she did not even bat an eye, as if this was the normal status. She went & got us ‘fresh’ sheets, & once we unfolded them the new set had a non-blood human fluid spot on them too! We complained, to no avail. The desk clerk seemed annoyed with the room switch requests & like this was just the status quo. Mind you, we paid through the nose for two nights at this slum of a hotel because of the weekend. We all slept on top of the sheets, fully clothed in our outerwear, because, in addition to the filth, the heater unit was caked in dust and filth, & we were afraid to turn it on. We left after 1 night.

The property is poorly maintained which would be forgivable considering the low price point but what is unforgivable is how filthy my room was. Hairs in the sink, in the bath tub and all over the floor. The Floors and all counter surfaces had clearly not been wiped down and had smears and various spills on them. Mold in the tub. I really didn’t want to touch anything which is an unfortunate thing to feel in a room. I informed the front desk about the room not being clean and he wrote something down on a peace of paper - and that was all. Other issues included the seal on the door was non-existent so noise, light and air from the street (and probably bugs) flowed through the entry. No shampoo or conditioner provided. Phone and TV not working properly. People in the parking lot cat-calling me as I exited my room. Noise from the highway. Bad lighting. No coffee or mini fridge. I’m no stranger to budget hotels but this one is the worst I’ve stayed at…. Mainly due to the filthy condition of my room.

The hotel is in a bad condition needs to be renewed also I had cockroaches in my room but the area around has lots of good caffès and restaurants

I stayed there for three days in total. I went out during the day and only came back to sleep at night. On the morning of the second day, I found some red marks on my legs. They were very itchy, so I couldn't concentrate on driving. I bought some medicine for mosquito bites, but on the morning of the third day, I found more bites. Now the bites are still oozing liquid. I had to see a doctor for treatment. The doctor said it was flea or bedbug bites. This made me unhappy throughout the trip.

I have not slept at all today. The bed has bedbugs and I spent all night killing them. The place is not clean and the floor is sticky meaning it hasn't been cleaned for sometime

The mattress was full of bed bugs. I was left with more than 30 bites all over my body.

The absolutely worse place I have ever been to in my life. The room is dirty, unkempt, and noisy. My daughter and I got bit all over our bodies. We had to wait hours for towels and toilet paper. The television has barely 5 channels. Housekeeping speaks absolutely no English and are just nasty with how they maintain the rooms. Unless you are absolutely desperate do not stay here. The front desk staff are rude. They barely answer the phone. I was told that my room was going to be changed and they never did it. By like 7am the noise of the construction wakes you up. You can’t sleep! Gun shots at night time. The only thing that was good was that there was hot water and heat. Run in the other direction!!

The hotel served it purpose as a place to stay however the room was not clean, there was mold on the shower curtain and what looked like urine on the bathroom towels....thankfully I packed our own linens.

There were bed bugs in my bed I am beyond upset worst place ever don’t stay there. Not worth the price stay somewhere else. DO NOT STAY HERE THEY HAVE BED BUGS AND COCKROACHES WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN

While cheap, this hotel really was the absolute bare minimum. Cigarette burns on the blanket cover, door didn’t close properly.

5am argument outside our room, crazy’s hanging out in the street. Guy at the desk pissed when I woke him up to check out. Door lock broken on door toilet hard to flush and ice mch broke down. Not a quiet place at all Guess I should expect this for the price.

The door has gaps when closed and can’t block any outside noises. Especially when I woke up by argument of loud neighbor 2AM in the morning

Ice machine is broken, cable and wifi was down the day we checked in, remote for tv didn’t work, doors don’t seal properly so you hear EVERYTHING going on outside, the ONLY positive is they let you check in early

The bathroom was dirty, both the toilet seat and the bathtub, there was a cockroach walking in the room. Also the 2 single sofas in the room were dirty, I don't know if it was leftover food or what. You could easily hear the room above and the room next door. Only that was bad, the rest was normal.

Not really sure the last time things were replaced or fixed in the room. There was a hole in the bathroom wall from the door knob, no lock on the bathroom door and the towel holder was falling apart. The room smelled like a smokers room and the charging port in the lamp did not work.

This is an older property located in the NoMa district. It shows its age particularly on the building exterior. The bed was comfortable, the desk easy to use with my computer, and the bathroom was clean. While the desk is open 24/7, I did have to wait a few minutes for both checkin and checkout until someone came from the back.

Very very loud. Could hear everything happening in other rooms, in the parking lot, etc. And a lot was happening. Bed was pretty uncomfortable. It wasn't horrible. And you get what you pay for, so I have no regrets. But it was not a particularly pleasant stay.

The receptionist did not find my reservation , have to wait too long for the room . there is no lobby or any place to sit down until you are waiting for the room to be cleaned ! we did not take a shower because we didn't think it was clean enough. the good thing was that we had only one night !!! at checking out on the invoice the reservation said my name exactly and the number also so I don't understand why he could not find it in a first place ! weird . so i would not recommend this place to anyone .

They don't deserve a single star. It is not a human friendly motel. Whole property smell terrible. Their bathroom non working. Can't provide bare minimum towels. No help and their help desk is rude and non cooperative. They dont know how to help. I stayed their two days. Complain is countless If you are looking for a family friendly place to stay keep this property out of your search

Don't stay here expecting Instagram perfection. BUT, the room was clean, the staff was amazing, and the neighborhood was safe. Will absolutely stay here again if we are in the area.

I enjoyed my stay near the Union Market. This motel has a nice grassy area for the dog. The beds were good, walkable to markets, easy parking. Danny was very helpful, welcoming, and kind. Every staff member was friendly and made me feel comfortable.

Thank you for the opportunity to review the stay on 7/18/23. It was a good place to stay overnight, however the next day 7/19/23 for an 11:00am checkout, when turning in the keys, no one was in the office. I did not just leave the keys for the room at the front desk. I waited for 30 mins for the desk person to return to make sure they received their keys in their hands. Need better instructions on what to do when you checkout, if no one is at the front desk. Thank you.

We made a reservation for this location specifically because it said they had a 24Hour front desk that we could check in anytime and that their staff was ready for our needs all day and all night. We were traveling on motorcycles and got caught in a storm and called them at 6 PM to ask if they could make sure they did not release our reservation. They informed us that they had an emergency with their staff and would not be around to check us in at late night so we could not get into the hotel when we got into town so basically I asked Orbitz to cancel it. I’ve yet to see that.

We enjoyed staying at a motel that was reasonably priced and centrally located and pet friendly. It was clean and easily accessible with parking on site. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Close to downtown offices on N. Capitol Street where my meetings were located.

The room was quiet, easy parking and an easy stroll to freat restaurants and transport. Though the motel was old and had a run down appearance, it was clean and comfortable.

7min or so walking to the NoMa metro station. Very friendly area and to walk around with some places to eat

Not as bad as I thought it would be reading all the comments. Area did not seem safe at night but it’s a cheap way to stay a night near DC. Bought my own sheets/towels due to reading prior comments. Uber/Lyft to Smithsonian museum area only cost 12-15 bucks. Was a last min one night booking, good enough for its purpose.

I've stayed here twice now- best deal for price you'll find and located in a good area as well. Can't go wrong with this location near the red line train stop as well.

This must be the hippest Motel 6 in the world, given its location in the new, hip Union Market area of Washington, D.C. It's an incredible bargain, and it's close to the Metro.

Room was more a small cubby-hole that would be used for maintenance storage. The view was inferior to those facing the parking lot or with a view toward 4th St. and the Capitol. The wiring had the ceiling light and the power for the TV connected for simultaneous operation-even if one didn't want the bright ceiling light on. Their was a sticky glaze on the furniture. The WIFI was not good for laptop, though it was for my android. The neighborhood vendors-restaurant-bars made an other-wise dreary stay pleasantly better.

Party and drug use all night music with people coming and going. Roaches in bathroom and no coffee in the morning. Uncaring staff that would not answer the phone.

Had literally 2 channels to watch, tv kept saying cable connection disrupted, said free coffee, never saw any coffee, noisy outside the room both nights, late! Wash cloths were see thru in places. Only had 1 towel, wash cloth, bathmat, hand towel, even after asking for more both days.
