Modern building behind older facade. Good parking. Steps up to hotel entrance. Excellent clean and spacious bedroom. Seemed short of staff, so service slow. Some young staff seemed under-trained, and rather bored by their work. Too much loud music in dining room.

Magnifique hôtel dans un ancien établissement sucrier. Nous avons laissé la voiture à l'hôtel pour nous rendre en train à Bruxelles. Très bonne option. Tout le personnel est charmant. Le buffet du petit déjeûner est parfait. La salle à manger est très classe. La carte du dîner est très raisonnable au niveau des prix, mais pas tout à fait à la hauteur sur le plan gastronomique, sorry.

This is my go-to when in Waterloo. The hotel is always spotless and you see constant cleaning and attention to every nook by dedicated staff. The rooms were all redecorated and are gorgeous. Sleek Euro business modern with warm tones and soft lighting with excellent beds. Staff is very attentive and happy to help make your stay, cocktail or meal enjoyable.

Van buiten ziet het er mooi uit! Binnen de begane grond ziet er heel netjes uit! Wij hadden een kamer op de eerste verdieping, prima voor 1 nacht, maar wel erg verouderd zo jammer dat de kamer niet past bij de rest van het hotel! Verder vonden wij het voor een dinsdag avond best wel remoerig.... Hebben de hele avond / nacht wel iets gehoord, leek wel ergens een feestje. De ochtend werden we wakker en hoorde het nog steeds! Verder goed geslapen. Ontbijt was super.

As repeat visitors to the hotel both under previous and current management, we have always enjoyed our stays as it is in a very convenient location both for Waterloo itself and for Brussels, and the rooms of various sizes we have stayed in have always been good value for money. Parking is free and easy, the new outside bar /dining area is a nice addition Breakfast (buffet) was always included previously and no longer is as a Van der Valk hotel, so that would be my one negative point. But this was the first time we also had dinner at the restaurant though and it certainly won't be the last as we found the food and service were very good. Considering how busy the restaurant was both with locals and guests, it is definitely a sign of ongoing quality. When checking into our room, we found that the air conditioning in our room was not working, which was a worry in the current hot weather. We immediately asked reception if it could be looked at. We were informed some rooms have issues with air conditioning due to ongoing upgrades in the hotel, but the receptionist then went out of his way to find us an alternative room with working air conditioning and he eventually did. I can not say enough how friendly and helpful he was and how much more enjoyable he made our stay.

The onsite restaurant is pretty and adequate. The rooms are basic, but the walk-in rain shower is nice. Bathroom amenities need an upgrade. They provide only a small sliver of soap and small bottle of body wash for washing and bathing. There are no washcloths, which probably means their clientele is mostly European.

Nice hotel and great staff. However, a light under the bedside table kept coming on and off randomly in the early hours - several times a night. I asked the front desk to have someone sort it out on 3 occasions and it was never dealt with. 7 night stay with very interrupted sleep. Won’t stay here again. Apparantly lots of people have complained about these lights. They need to remove them as they add no value other than ambience - which isn’t required at 4am!

L'hotel a voulu me charger 20 EUR parce que je suis arrive a 13:00 et que le check-in serait soit-disant a partir de 15:00 uniquement. La chambre etati disponible immediatement et mon arrivee n'a pose aucun probleme a l'hotel. En 40 ans de voyages (pro ou prive) c'est la premiere que l'on me soutire de l'argent de cette maniere. Nice room 20 minute walk to centre of waterloo, but along busy road. Well loçated for battlefield Bar not manned most of the time gettìng served took time! Reception staff very helpful and would fetch staff to serve. When weather improved so did seřvice! Breakfast buffet style and whilst not the best did the job well.

Habe wenig Zeit im Hotel verbracht, aber alles war ok. Die Wege sind ein bisschen lang, wenn man viel Gepäck hat. Restaurant Service ist solala ( abends). Rezeption sehr freundlich. Liegt günstig , wenn man Butte de Lion und battlefield besuchen möchte.

The room was average but modern. Good mattress. Rain shower head in the bathroom. It had a pretty restaurant that I had to walk around to get to my room. I had several meals in the restaurant that were good but not outstanding. It has a good local reputation. Unfortunately, I had the breakfast buffet one morning and was food poisoned with intestinal effect within the hour. The food had been out all morning. The hot food was hot, but was obviously not refreshed over the 4-5 hours.

We were there to visit the Battle of Waterloo site. Its not close to the hotel of course but since we have a car it was convenient. Hotel looks newly renovated. Really classy, very spacious and very clean. Love the breakfast. Friendly staff.
