Parking was fine. Kitchen was great, everything I needed. First night was very noisy from passing trucks & traffic. Next day I realised there was a window open in the bathroom. Next night was great. Very low price. Good value. Everything I needed.

Receptionist was great however the conditions were terrible. The pool was out of service and dirty. The beds were uncomfortable, aircon was cold but smelt musty, lights were faulty and the room was riddled with cockroaches.

One night stay but friendly reception. Comfy room with many nice touches you get in big hotels. I made a little mess but no cleaning gear to fix it. Convenient little kitchenette in the room and a comfy bed. I was in the room closest to the entry and road but quiet enough and a good location to get around town. Shopping was nearby as is the zoo and Botanic gardens - a great spot to see the sunset with birdlife and the lake.

Although the room was small it was laid out well but no space for putting your bag if 3 people stayed. Only room for the 2 chairs around the small table but table and 2 chairs provided in the small space outside. No room for large vehicles. Exit locked so only easy exit to use is the Entrance onto a busy road which has traffic lights.

We didn’t stay here as we felt unsafe. Cleaning materials and dirty linen lying outside our unit. Broken furniture around the pool which was green. Rubbish and other crap in full view from the pool. Empty Coke cans and used tissues in full view at the reception desk. A man swearing at the top of his lungs at someone near the reception area. The unit - noisy aircon, door not secure, hole in the bathroom door - obviously someone’s fist. Leaky shower head. Manager was very helpful and apologetic. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The motel room shows its age and there was mould in the bathroom. Needs a clean and the whole room would be good after a renovation. Parking spaces too small and confined. Not much traffic noise but loud people outside the room at 5am the day we were there.

Kept well-informed about booking & check-in until arrival; key-box pickup was simple & effective. While it is an older motel, is well-maintained and has everything you need for an overnight stay (or longer). Kitchenette is always very nice to have! Shopping centre easy walk down around corner. Check out similarly simple & easy, would definitely stay here again, thank you.

They need to check inside rooms that all is working eg: bathroom/toilet door wouldn’t close over properly very tight parking within the facility no extra blankets mattress uncomfortable no information booklets in rooms tv not working properly but it was a safe place to lay your head

Room was messy/ bit dirty, plates/ cutlery in sink & on drainer. Needed to move the bed back into place. Smelt bad. Single mattress very thin/feel the spring. Not much space for cars to park, gardens & grass around the property unkept/overgrown. Wheelie bins not tidy & rubbish around them.

This motel was the worst I have ever stayed in. The only saving grace was the fact that I arrived so exhausted and bleary eyed that I couldn’t see the filth that awaited me in my room. In the morning, I couldn’t wait to get out! I am not sure how this property manages to maintain a 3 star rating. My room was atrocious. Rubbish on the bench, pillows so flat they fold when you pick them up, pubic hairs in the shower, pipes that don’t drain properly (and the lingering stench caused by that issue), unvacuumed floors, long dark hairs scattered over the tissue-thin mattress protector… This place ought to be condemned.

We booked a room a Motel Lodge for an overnight stay while driving to Brisbane and it was the worst motel I've stayed at. The bathroom had not been cleaned. There was hair all over the shower and bathroom floor and sink from someone shaving. The bathroom was mouldy and dusty. The shower pressure was super low, to get hot water you couldn't have the cold tap on at all. The shelf and door in the bathroom were water damaged - part of the bathroom door had rotted off and was on the floor. The toilet roll holder was broken too. There was a window without a curtain above the main door that let the balcony light in and lit the whole room up all night. Very loud noises from inside the wall, I think it was water pipes, woke us up at random times during the night. Didn't get much sleep and we left as soon as we could in the morning. I don't recommend Motel Lodge to anyone.

Shower needed a good clean. No toilet roll handle. Air-conditioner didn't work to well. Cutlery was just thrown in the kitchen box/cupboard thing. Blackout curtains do not Blackout anything and part is missing. Room needs other small items fitted or repaired correctly like bathroom window and soap/shampoo/conditioner handle. no pressure in shower.

It was certainly unique It was not clean, floors were dirty, bathroom door was swinging in the breeze , no toilet paper holder, trouble filling the kettle, wouldn’t fit under the sink tap, the lower toilet bowl was brown and it certainly does not look like the picture in What if.

Property was dirty and had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. My granddaughter got locked in the bathroom because the door was dodgy. The pictures on the hotel website sadly don’t portray the real look and standard of the hotel. Would recommend finding accomodation else where.

Did not like a notification from wotif asking whether we planned on sleeping together and that they might charge us extra if we used 2 beds! Motel was dated, noisy and unkempt, but clean and staff were fine.

Due to the high demand I had no choice but to book this motel. It's not nice. Didn't even have a mirror in bathroom. Just old and tacky and neglected. Had to spin the fan with my hands to get it working. No drinking glasses. Only stay here if you get it dirt cheap and budget is the only thing that matters.

Arrived to find they expected us the day before - their mistake. Showed them the booking on my phone. They put us in a unit that looked like it belonged in the 1950's. Linoleum was cracked and bubbly. The bathroom was small and the light kept blinking. One of the bed lights wasn't working. The curtain wasn't attached properly and outside light was flooding in. Would not recommend and won't be staying here on the way home.

Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was good but the hot water took a couple minutes to come through. In the room I stayed in, the shower dripped constantly keeping me awake at times. The bathroom door was very hard to slide close as it had come off the sliders. Air con worked well.

Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Keep us up to date to reconfirm our booking status. The charges of the room are fair. The air conditioner seems pretty old and noisier throughout the night. Having said that we love the place overall and won't hesitate to return to stay if we next drive past Rockhampton in future.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The building is a little tired but serves the purpose. This is offset by the price so it’s great value. There are plenty of dinning options and a supermarket etc within a few minutes walk.

No reception open at 440pm on a weekday. No one answered the doorbell on the reception door. Had to call. I was told a text was sent to me about checking in. That’s great, but I’m traveling from a different country and booked the hotel using the phone number from the last country I was in. So of course I didn’t get it. So if you’re an international traveller, don’t book here. Into room and there is absolutely no toilet paper. Not one square or any hidden rolls. Had to call. Took them over an hour to bring some. Half the lights in the room didn’t work. Place was caked in dust. You could see it on the artwork. The bathroom canisters for shower gel etc were either close to empty or non existent (opened the latch to see and there was no canister).

Room was not ready on check-in, they said 20 mins so we gave them double the time and it still wasn't ready. Bathroom window had a 3 inch ventilation gap with no mesh, insect got in. It was cheap so you get what you pay for i guess.

Kept well-informed about booking & check-in until arrival; key-box pickup was simple & effective. While it is an older motel, is well-maintained and has everything you need for an overnight stay (or longer). Kitchenette is always very nice to have! Shopping centre easy walk down around corner. Check out similarly simple & easy, would definitely stay here again, thank you.

Had to wait ages at reception, receptionist arrive smelling of alcohol. Room was dirty, in a poor state of repair and very poorly decorated. Only good point was the powerful shower

Parking was fine. Kitchen was great, everything I needed. First night was very noisy from passing trucks & traffic. Next day I realised there was a window open in the bathroom. Next night was great. Very low price. Good value. Everything I needed.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The building is a little tired but serves the purpose. This is offset by the price so it’s great value. There are plenty of dinning options and a supermarket etc within a few minutes walk.

One night stay but friendly reception. Comfy room with many nice touches you get in big hotels. I made a little mess but no cleaning gear to fix it. Convenient little kitchenette in the room and a comfy bed. I was in the room closest to the entry and road but quiet enough and a good location to get around town. Shopping was nearby as is the zoo and Botanic gardens - a great spot to see the sunset with birdlife and the lake.

Although the room was small it was laid out well but no space for putting your bag if 3 people stayed. Only room for the 2 chairs around the small table but table and 2 chairs provided in the small space outside. No room for large vehicles. Exit locked so only easy exit to use is the Entrance onto a busy road which has traffic lights.

The young girl servicing the rooms was excellent. TV control didn't work, shower head leaked, no spare toilet roll, three tea bags, no milk, no soap or shampoo etc in bathroom. Electric Kettle leaked, when pouring. Bed was good, as was the location of premises.

Sorry to say this but DO NOT STAY HERE! Problems are too many to count: 1) cockroach infestation throughout the buildings; 2) parking spots far too small for any car to fit in; 3) staff cannot speak English; 4) dishes, etc were dirty and smelly; 5) A/C unit made us sick as soon as we turned it on; 6) NO LAUNDRY for guests; etc
