Novotel Brisbane Airport

Clean and well appointed. Main gripes were (1) that the car park is both expensive and poor. It makes European car parks look roomy and expansive. (2) there was a big queue when we checked in. They then asked us for our contact details - which it transpired that they already had. Given they had already checked my photo ID, couldn’t they have asked me to check those details rather than have me recite them when exhausted? But the food was good. There was room service, the beds were small but good and the restaurant was good.

Disappointing with the fact that the pool had been closed down apparently 2 years ago…. Main reason we booked there

Disappointed pool was still unavailable. Only got notice after paying non refundable amount 6weeks prior to trip

Nice rooms but pool was not available and gyn is very very small with no bench so have to do all exercises standing.

Was informed the pool was closed for maintenanceAFTER booking. A friend said the same thing happened to them a year before.

Great hotel, great location, great staff. Rooms are large and air con works great. Alarm clock is also bluetooth speaker and wireless charger. Downsides: pool area does not have any loungers to sit in the sun. gym is tiny and not great for multiple users. Amenities aren't great, only a bar of soap and wall mounted shower stuff. For the price you pay, would hope that these thigns are a bit better.

Great location close enough to airport. Very close to dfo. But parking way too expensive

For the fist time in many stays, the experience this visit was less than desired. The room was not cleaned correctly, missing toiletries, no robes or slippers and the mattress was that old you could feel the bed boards underneath it. The restaurant though as always served a very good meal. It was the room that was the big let down and for the price we pay for the room, it was not the level of service and cleanliness I expect from a Novatel Hotel. Lucky it was only for an overnight stay

Room was clean and quiet. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

The welcome we received at check in was really friendly and helpful. The room was probably the cleanest I've ever stayed in and th bed was very comfortable. We got a taxi to and from the hotel with ease also and went for food nearby.

Clean room, clean facilities, great staff

Upon arrival our group of 6 were warmly welcomed & informed of the hotel facilities along with nearby conveniences. Unfortunately our stay wasn’t pleasant beyond check in. The lifts had no air flow/ air conditioning and felt like a sauna & musty odour. Our rooms were on the top level and the musty odours in the rooms was very off putting. One of the rooms had rubbish in the bin from a previous guest, another room the iron didn’t work & the overall room hygiene standard was sub standard compared to other Novotel Hotel stays. Breakfast check in took almost 20 minutes as there was only one female staff member who was making takeaway coffee’s whilst trying to attend to checking in guests for breakfast. One of our group has food allergies and waited over 30 minutes for an omelette to be made as there was only 1 chef. The buffet breakfast on offer was sub standard with the scrambled eggs like lumpy soup, the pancake machine ran out, the fruit salad was anything but fresh! At check out the female Duty Manager did not greet any of us in a friendly manner, she seemed very annoyed about something as she was speaking to the other reception staff in a very unpleasant manner. When we were checking out she claimed that we needed to pay for breakfast. I provided her with all 3 room booking confirmations which included breakfast, however she was not accepting of that and was extremely rude & condescending. What should have been the start of our vacation turned into an upsetting situation.

The bathroom basin was cracked right through, and grout in shower/bath either moldy or dirty, needs replacing

The room was very dirty including the carpet, sheets, and towels. The lock on the room door don’t work. Overall very disappointing experience

Very clean and pleasant stay for a business trip for 2 nights. The hotel staff were friendly and the overall image was excellent. The room was at decent size and the amenities were in very good condition.

Room a bit dated, beds were terrible kept moving and mattresses felt very cheap.

Overall the place was ok. The beds need to be replaced which led to a rough night’s sleep - springs are going/gone and they sag terribly in some spots. Other than that, location close to the airport was its biggest feature.

There was a very obvious stain on the top sheet. The Wi-fi was very sporadic (coming an going in terms of being online) Staf were friendly, rest of the room was nice, modern and clean.

For the rate I paid I found accommodation/room very basic. No coffee machine and room aircon I had to switch off as couldn’t temp control. I won’t be staying there afain

Lovely room, comfortable bed!

First time guests. Impressed with this hotel as an option to on airport hotels. Our superior room was huge and quiet. Excellent block out curtains. Easy parking and quick drive to airport.

The wifi was terrible. Cut in and out constantly.

Great customer service, pristine clean. Nice room. Bed a little too firm though and the air con was way too loud.

Staff friendly. Quality of the room terrible. Room service never arrived, apparently sent to the wrong room hotel staff didn’t know how to refund onto credit card had to give them my bank account details. Picture shows chair in the room. Please ask hotel to respond to me.

Everything was smooth from check in to check out

Nice premium room and polite staff. DFO nearby for shopping and eating. Only downside was check in, everything was repeated twice including ID check and credit card taken twice two hrs apart, gives an odd vibe as first impression esp to a tourist

The lady at reception i beleive she was the duty manager was amazing. I walked in limping as my knee recently replaced was playing up and she asked if i wanted to be transferred to a more mobility friendly room. Excellent customer service.

Great stay before heading to the airport. Was able to check in early which I really appreciated. Close to the nearby shops.

Great Customer Service, clean rooms and extremely convenient accommodation close to Brisbane Airport

I didn't like the noise from the staff outside my door for a few hours daily as my room was close to the housekeeping facilities. Also, when I was checking out, the hotel was trying to bill me up for an 85 Australian dollar bill for an in-room dinner on my first evening which I did not order or receive. After a few minutes, they agreed not to charge my credit card. This kind of mistake and resulting stress at the last-minute heading to airport just ruined my stay for me.

Good location to International Airport Cost $20 taxi fare to International Terminal. Courteous staff, clean room, good airconditioning. Would recommend

Perfect spot to stay near the airport! A little pricey but the hotel is very clean, nice and close to the airport. The cab ride to international was about $16, they have a free shuttle but it stops at domestic first and turns a 10 minute commute into 30-45 so we opted for a cab.

Very comfortable overnight stay before catching early morning international flight. Location was right beside DFO shopping and supermarket. Taxi cost $20 to the airport.

You stay at a Novotel knowing what you will get. Being close to the airport makes is very convenient for sure. Breakfast was OK. Not a whole lot other than the usual sliced bread with eggs. THERE IS NOT FREE SHUTTLE TO THE AIRPORT. There’s a 8$ fee per person. Uber costed me about 11$

Great spot to stopover before or after travel. Free bus from Brisbane Airport and within walking distance to Woolworths and DFO.

This is a great hotel option near the airport. Only complaint would be that it’s not as close to the airport as we had hoped. We ended up having to catch a taxi. Having said that the staff at the hotel were excellent

My wife and I stayed overnight between flying in from NZ and going up to the Sunshine Coast. A tidy, modern hotel – close-ish to the airport (not walking distance – but there is a free bus that runs from both International and Domestic airport that takes you almost to the door). I probably wouldn't choose to holiday here – just because of the location – the nearest train station into the CBD is a bus or uber ride away. So, the location relative to the CBD is not great, but is handy to airport without actually being at the airport – but the hotel for what we wanted was fine.

Convenient for airport but the shuttle to the airport is not free which was a surprise as every other airport hotel I have stayed in has provided this as complimentary.

Ordered a bitter chicken at the restaurant and it was under cooked, they made me pay for it regardless.

For the price of the room I feel it was very basic. I stayed at a budget ibis in Sydney and it had more to offer. Towels of a low quality and no bathroom amenities like shower cap etc. Room service was average. Ordered Turkish bread as a starter and it came with a bowl of salt as a dipping selection!

Don’t eat in the hotel restaurant. Poor service and average food. Not worth it

Room absolutely spotless. Great amenities. Quick check in, friendly, helpful staff. Short wak to international airport free shuttle. Grocery store across the street. Nice bar and restaurant. Great breakfast. Most importantly, quiet. Excellent resting spot!

Restaurant was great with good service and food.

Room service meal was provided 20 minutes after advised time and was cold. For a restaurant meal this was not good. Had the dessert been at my home I would have thrown it out. Sticky Date pudding that required a knife to cut and was cold with no sauce

The restaurant costs are RIDICULOUS. $15 for a tap beer. Not even a pint.

We stayed at Novotel Brisbane Airport for one night. Since our flight was at 10:30 a.m., the location was very convenient for getting to the airport. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the dinner at the restaurant was disappointing. As other reviews have pointed out, we hope the food quality will be improved.

Very very disappointed with the restaurant. We were advice there would be a delay of about 15mins before orders would be taken. After 30mins order was taken and we choose breads & Dips to start as it required no cooking and then burgers . We watched the kitchen staff arguing and hardly anything coming out of the kitchen , now 1hour past so cancelled our order and left . We were ensured no food was charged ba k to our room, but in the morning they had charged us for a meal but not even what we had ordered. Finally we got the removed by the reception staff. This was such a disappointment.

This hotel probably has one of the best breakfast buffets we have seen in Australia The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable The staff was very helpful The only negative is that we had to buy an USB adapter to be able to charge our devices They did have one available in a vending machine on the first floor
