After a long international flight, the necessity to check in on a machine was very unwelcome! Then I had to grapple with another machine in order to book a shuttle ride back to the terminal. The staff member did his best to offer help, but by then I was in no mood to face another interaction with a machine. I chose to stay in this hotel- the most expensive option in airport hotels- expecting to receive a 5 star experience. What I got was a very bland (though spotlessly clean) room- an Ibis experience, except Ibis would have provided a cheerful human check-in. I won’t be choosing this option next time I have to overnight in Brisbane Airport.
