Byron Bay Hotel and Apartments

It’s a great location, but these are not boutique and cleanliness and maintenance is an issue. The lift was out of order meaning we had to carry cases to the second floor. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

We were situated away from the main road and found the stay very quiet. You can’t beat the location and parking is easy.

Right in the heart of Byron Bay, stayed two nights and it was a great stay. The room was spacious, bathroom had a shower and bath and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Parking was free and in a secure underground carpark and was easy to find. Only downside was noise from the street but what else can you expect from staying in the centre of a busy town. Highly recommend!

Location was incredible! Easy access to parking, shopping, dining and the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Location was great! The room was fairly small and musty smelling. The pool is also in the back of a restaurant which was a bit odd but the restaurant doesn’t open until 5pm so it’s relatively private until then.

Air conditioning was saturated with mould, wife got sick, had to leave. Staff gave us refund but certainly don’t recommend. The rooms are full of neglect everywhere.

Room wasn’t clean. Had to run the shower for 10mins to clean it out. Fridge has drink spilt all through it. We told them, they said they’d send someone to clean it, which they didn’t. We were told when checking out they sent us a message through Expedia to change rooms the next day and a free upgrade. We never got a message, nothing on Expedia at all. They had our number and could have called us any time. Bad enough when the room wasn’t clean, but to be lied to at the end is a bit ridiculous.

Unfortunately our room was not clean when we arrived. It had been cleaned but wasn’t clean. Things left in the fridge from previous stay. The bathroom door had a lot of dirty hand prints along the side of it. The first night I found a biscuit eaten by a mouse in the cupboard. I reported this to reception and they said it wouldn’t be a mouse. I had to insist they take the room number. The last night another biscuit was eaten by a mouse. Reception again weren’t too concerned about it. I will let my manager know was the comment

The room we were given was #1 on the first floor. The room was in need of an over all cleaning. The furniture was mismatched and worn and appeared as if scavenged from other places. The noise in the hallway all night as people came into the building after hours was a constant source of annoyance every time someone let it slam and woke us up. The small patio area was filthy and unusable. Not what we had expected in Byron Bay and certainly not worth the price paid. The only positive was the location and the friendly desk staff.

This property is in a great location - 3 minute walk to main beach and right in the centre of town with lots of cafe's restaurants and shops. However, the room we had on level 2 (208B) gets a lot of noise from the outside (banging, people talking) that we literally did not get even one hours sleep - which is frustrating as we booked a night there to get sleep to break a 10 hour drive. Also the room itself whilst clean and modern is very small with no view and felt quite claustrophobic The windows in the bedroom are quite high and you can only see the walls of another part of the building. Very disappointing.

Room was adequate. Pretty small and dark, looking out on to another part of the building. Lots of doors opening and closing loudly all through the night and into the morning. Great location.

We barely slept a wink. Curtains do not block light and there was a large air con unit outside our room that kept us awake all night.

Upon arrival staff were friendly, and full of local information which was helpful. Check-in relatively easy. Location very convenient, parking easy. Room was lovely although we had street side apartment with balcony which was a bit noisy due to traffic and restaurant noise mainly music. Bed comfortable. Room and bathroom spacious.

Really needs better road facing sound reduciton. We got woken up by every drunken yahoo walking down the street in the AM and trucks that were outside.

The bed was Terrible, king size made up of 2 king singles and one was slightly lower than the other , and they kept pushing apart, mattresses were too soft and saggy. Over all it was a nice stay , room was very tired needs renovation.

Two nights in the heart of the town. King bed room. Quite small but adequate for a short stay. Says it has a balcony. You can only step out and stand as only big enough to stand. Bed was like a hammock, a little worn out. Room was lovely and quiet. Jetted tub included, however we didn't use it. Area around was perfect. Parking included was fantastic. For $400 per night it could be better.

Clean and modern room, parking easy, staff super friendly

Check in was a disaster... no one on reception. Intercom kept cutting out. They vould not csall me as i had a US phone. They required a $100 bond and had major issues getting it approved ...TERRIBLE NEVER AGAIN!

We loved being the heart of Byron with the convenience of being able to walk everywhere. Also on-site parking was a plus. Staff were amazing.

Very poor stay, room dark, dingy and depressing. My room lost all power (for over an hour) and no one on premises to assist. In the end I received an external call and was told I had to reset the fuse box in the hotel corridor. Brought up my “experience” to the reception staff at check out the following morning and it was ignored. Would never recommend this hotel.

We booked the 3 bedroom fully self-contained apartment (101) for a family wedding. Comfortablly sleeps 6 people. This room gets some morning sun on the balcony and then it's nice and shady in the afternoon and evening. Heaps of room to watch TV and to cook and eat-in when we wanted to. We really liked the position of the hotel, a street or so back from the beach away from the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay on a long weekend during School Holidays, but close to everything, which was easily walkable. Really handy that Aldi is virtually next door via the shared carpark. We didn't have a problem getting a car space, even over this busy period and we had two vehicles between us all. Thanks to Leigh/Lee for his welcoming manner upon arrival and for the multiple access cards the adults needed to be able to come and go. Thanks also to Flynn for fixing the internet for us, when we had a temporary connectivity issue. All the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Byron Bay.

We stayed in a one bed apartment. On our arrival we were greeted by probably the most sincere young man who went out of his way to answer all questions ie regarding recommending a good place to eat and as we were also towing a decent sized boat we asked if where we had parked it overnight was relatively safe. Well he quickly said it could be but it would be much safer right out the front of the apartments ie at the door. We said we did look at that but the vehicle will not fit as the bins for collection would prevent us. Oh no problem he sorted this all out insisted we get our vehicle and hitched boat and then said now you can see your boat from your balcony. Amazing! and genuine best ever reception person we have ever met on our many travels. 20 out of 10 for him.

I called this hotel 3 days before arrival and ask for an upgrade as i thought it was an apartment. The staff members reassured me, she would arrange the upgrade on the day. On the Saturday arrival, as checking in. No notes had been left, very disappointing. Our room was very small and had an odour of cigarettes. Definitely not worth the money spent.

We loved our stay at Byron Bay Hotel and Apartments. The apartment was conveniently located in the heart of Byron Bay, and the staff were friendly, relaxed and helpful. We will be back!

Great property in the heart of Byron Bay.

This review is based on a king room, not apartment. The room is a small and dark, but very clean. Great location about 3 blocks from beach and near many restaurants. Free covered parking was very convenient.

Close to most things, we were going to the Blues Festival for 1 night, it was walking distance to the bus next to Aldi. The only thing was a suggestion to include that you don't offer breakfast in your information folder. There is some options close by which were awesome and to include information about if you leave before they open the office where to leave the tags...I put it under the office door inside.

The advertising of this property was amazing as it had us book for new years and we were quite chuffed to be going to a newish apartment. When we arrived we were very surprised that it was the same place as in the photos. We were put in a room at the back next to the lift- which didn’t stop clunking and tapping at any time of the night. We had ppl trying to get into our room on multiple occasions. Each time we left the room and came back the smell was horrible- not sure where that was coming from. The pool backs onto a restaurant so diners would be sitting at their tables eating and watching us swim. The street you exit out of the carpark felt like we were in the ghetto and needed our own security. All in all for the price that was paid of $1600 for 2 nights- could have gotten me 2 nights at the Sheraton- way too steep for what it was.

We loved staying here! We had only expected one balcony so the second was an added treat! Jay at the front desk was super friendly and the location couldn’t be beat, as we were able to walk to the beaches, dining and restaurants. The only negative was it’s above an Asian restaurant so when we checked in the smell of their cooking poured into the common area which wasn’t great. But it’s not all day so that’s a plus. We’d definitely stay there again!

Großzügige schöne Ferienwohnung. Ruhige und zentrale Lage. Sauber und alles vorhanden für Selbstversorgung. Leider extreme Küchengerüche vom Aufzug bis zum Apartment. Hotelzimmer/Apartments befinden sich oberhalb von Restaurants. Toller Ort für Surfer. Top Strand.
