This place is a bargain if you are looking for safe, clean, quiet with a refrigerator/freezer. It is an old-style two floor motel with doors that open to the parking lot, bult circa 1960 I would bet. No nefarious activity I could see. Large rooms that are adequately/fairly nicely appointed (plush towels). With that come very few electrical outlets and no overhead lights. New lamps. Clientele was mostly fellow road weary travelers looking for a bargain. Breakfast was minimal but I appreciated the fresh fruit. Gas is 25 cents cheaper on the tollway than in town. An excellent full service reasonably priced grocery store (Dillons) is four blocks away.

It was actually better than I expected. The room rate was pretty high for what we got, but my guess is the rate was elevated due to the home KU Men's Basketball game the next day. Facility was definitely dated, it was pretty drab and dingy outside, and the carpet/tile in the room has seen better days. The ice machine in the other building was inconvenient. There was no mention of breakfast even though the outdoor sign indicated that breakfast was included, but that wasn't a big deal. With that, though, the beds/pillows were comfortable, the bedding and towels were really soft, and there was a mini-fridge, microwave, coffeepot, and big-screen TV. The bathroom gave some privacy from the rest of the room, so that was nice, too. Front desk staff was super friendly with check in and check out. All in all, I wouldn't probably stay there again but it wasn't as bad as I was afraid.

I was disappointed that the WiFi didn't work. The attendant logged me in at the reception desk but when I got to my room, it didn't work. Building was run down but everything was clean and it was quite roomy!. I was ecstatic that there was a ramp to the second level instead of steps since it was external entry.

Very, very shabby. Microwave and stovetop do not work, faucets are loose, lamp has no lampshade. Needs an update terribly. However, it is clean, carpet appears new, and beds are comfortable.

The woman who checked me in was very nice and gave disability accommodations and we were able to park right outside the door. The room was spacious and the shower worked well. Wifi and cable tv kept cutting out. Room seemed clean but had a funny smell and it didn't seem to be in the best neighborhood. Over all was a positive experience.

The motel is dated and not for the boujee traveler. Pretty basic and has outside entrances for the rooms. Pros: The room was large, clean and bug free. Check in was very friendly and the beds and sheets were soft and comfy. Big TV with a lot of channels. Cons: A pretty dated wall unit for heat and air, loud, but it seemed to do the job. Switch for lights by the bed didn’t work, so just unplugged to turn them off. Nothing fancy, but was fine for a couple of nights visit.

This is not a great place, or even a decent place. The building itself is pretty broken down and many of the issues are just painted over. The door on the room was not well fit, you could see light around 2 sides and there was a draft. The heat emitted a smell. Most of the furniture needs replaced: The desk was missing finish and was chipped. The couch was old, stained, and coming apart is spots. There was a broken towel bar and a lamp that did not work and looked to be a bit of a hazard. The bathroom door did not shut all of the way. This is a property that needs to be completed renovated or knocked down. I had to stay there because there was nothing else open in town. I should have stayed in Topeka or KC.

If I could rate this place zero I would. To say it was dirty is an understatement. The sheets , walls, shower curtains just about everything was filthy. The room smells like sewage. When we complained to the hotel they offered us an air freshener to mask the smell. We slept fully clothed. The property should be condemned. If you could stay away I would. This was the worst experience of my entire adult life.

Our bed was comfortable and that the only good thing, the walls were filthy, the desk and chair were filthy, the carpet was filthy, there was a electrical outlet hanging out of the wall and the tub surround had mold in all creases. When we said something to the guy that checked us out he didn't even have a single comment. Also snack cakes are not considered a breakfast.. We will never use this hotel again!

I checked in after dark, walked into the room and flicked to switch and nothing. I had to feel around in the dark looking for a table lamp to turn on. The staff had decided that the lamp needed to be on the right side of the bed, but the outlet connected to the switch was on the left. I had to move the light and stand and it still felt like a cave

Booked hotel based on good reviews through Expedia, however we had a different experience. It appeared room had started remolding however, lamps near bed didn’t work, lamp shades falling apart, outlet hanging out of wall, fan in bathroom very loud, appeared broken, light bulb out over sink, lotion bottle half full, stain on carpet, fire alarm in room going off in morning, twice, areas on mattress sheet and bed sheet worn and rough and property run down. Definitely not worth the price we paid. If they would put a little more money and work into property it wouldn’t be a bad place to stay, but the way it stands now you are better off spending extra money and going anywhere else. Google reviews more accurate on this property than Expedia reviews.

The toilet seat wasn\'t attached securely, Bathroom fan made a loud noise as if its bearings were toasted. No "Do Not Disturb" door hangers were offered (as I got a door knock every morning).

After traveling for eight hours, there was no one there to check in with. I waited a half hour, and then drove to my daughters house and tried to call the hotel for almost an hour. There was no one answering the phone. Finally, the phone was answered and we were told we could come and check in and. The variety of package food and fruit became less and less each day.

Family owned motel, with the best service I've ever received at a hotel. Very friendly staff, and they clearly care about the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. The inn needs renovations, but we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

The room was very big and clean. The person at the front counter was extremely friendly. It was right off the highway so I was shocked at how quiet it was inside the room. It’s a great hotel and won’t break the bank.
The room was very big and clean. The person at the front counter was extremely friendly. It was right off the highway so I was shocked at how quiet it was inside the room. It’s a great hotel and won’t break the bank.

For the money this is a decent place to stay. I only needed it for a night and it was fine. Good bed, quality towels, quiet location, convenient to many restaurants. Breakfast was limited but was not a deal breaker. I would stay here again.

This place is a bargain if you are looking for safe, clean, quiet with a refrigerator/freezer. It is an old-style two floor motel with doors that open to the parking lot, bult circa 1960 I would bet. No nefarious activity I could see. Large rooms that are adequately/fairly nicely appointed (plush towels). With that come very few electrical outlets and no overhead lights. New lamps. Clientele was mostly fellow road weary travelers looking for a bargain. Breakfast was minimal but I appreciated the fresh fruit. Gas is 25 cents cheaper on the tollway than in town. An excellent full service reasonably priced grocery store (Dillons) is four blocks away.

Good price for what you get. This was my second time at the hotel. Beds were clean, bathrooms clean. Some dead bugs on the floor. Bring more shampoo with you if you stay longer than 1 day. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast.

It was actually better than I expected. The room rate was pretty high for what we got, but my guess is the rate was elevated due to the home KU Men's Basketball game the next day. Facility was definitely dated, it was pretty drab and dingy outside, and the carpet/tile in the room has seen better days. The ice machine in the other building was inconvenient. There was no mention of breakfast even though the outdoor sign indicated that breakfast was included, but that wasn't a big deal. With that, though, the beds/pillows were comfortable, the bedding and towels were really soft, and there was a mini-fridge, microwave, coffeepot, and big-screen TV. The bathroom gave some privacy from the rest of the room, so that was nice, too. Front desk staff was super friendly with check in and check out. All in all, I wouldn't probably stay there again but it wasn't as bad as I was afraid.

The property is older but well maintained. Checkin was easy and the owner or manager was very friendly. The room was better than I expected considering the age of the property, it smelled clean, the bed was comfy and the AC worked well. The bathroom was larger than average and very clean. There was a to go breakfast that wasn’t terrible. All in all good value for money for a place to stay overnight on a long trip.

After traveling for eight hours, there was no one there to check in with. I waited a half hour, and then drove to my daughters house and tried to call the hotel for almost an hour. There was no one answering the phone. Finally, the phone was answered and we were told we could come and check in and. The variety of package food and fruit became less and less each day.

The property is outdated. I was booked for 6 nights. Had an opportunity to stay at the conference site and asked if I could just get a refund for the other 5 night. No was the answer. The bed was not changed one time in 6 days nor did they even make it from room cleaning. They dumped trash and added whatever towels I used. Breakfast was a joke. Who serves KING DONGS and granola bars for breakfast ? Other options were yogurt cups. I won’t be staying again looks like it more for people wanting to rent money.
