Everybody should avoid this hotel like the plague. I didn't want to award even just one star. I booked a single room for a week, and paid upfront on arrival so could not move elsewhere. The first room (in an annex) reeked appallingly of smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. I demanded an alternative, but was told that was not possible until the following day. But I was occupied in The Hague all day and reception was closed by the time I returned. Also the TV zapper was totally useless because it was broken. On the third day I was given another room, which did NOT smell of smoke (hooray!) but which was very stuffy because the window could not be opened. When I complained about that, the receptionist said simply he thought the previous tenant had broken the key. No suggestion they would fix it. Again the TV zapper did not work, this time because of batteries. (But when I finally got the TV working there was not a single news channel in English.) Both rooms had a kettle and two small sachets of instant coffee (no tea), but this was not replaced every day. When I complained, reception said they only gave them for the first day but they would ask the cleaner to deliver some. Nothing arrived, so I had to walk to reception (not always staffed) each day (no to the reception each morning to get two more instant coffee sachets. .... Wiring in the second room was defective. There was no side-table or side lamp. Carpets were generally very stained. Avoid!

The location is great but the place is really not great. No AC, one bathroom for about 4 rooms and the room was not very clean. I guess for the price it is not that bad and people working were very nice.

Service excellent. The guy from Hong Kong really hospitable and helpful. Can’t thank him enough. Hotel is cheap and limited but at least clean. It’s a budget room with shared facilities. You get what you pay for
