This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and possibly our last. I appreciate this is a busy time of year but I was disappointed to see so many sunbeds “reserved” at the pool. It appears the hotel have no interest in enforcing the “no reservation” policy. This is a 5 star hotel and it is a shame to see anti social behaviour allowed in a nice hotel - this is not a 3 star hotel in Albufeira. I reported this to the hotel but no action was taken. Having spent thousands of Euros to stay here in the last 5 years, we will now look elsewhere to stay. I do not want to arrive at the pool and stress out finding there were no free sunbeds. Otherwise, the breakfast was lovely as usual and the staff (especially Goncales) were welcoming. However, the room maids ignored us on two occasions when we passed them in the corridor - a simple smile would have been nice. Upon checking out, the receptionist did not ask if we enjoyed our stay - she just processed the bill. A little more of a personal touch would be nice.

Pros - Hotel is in a great location, across path from beach, and a 10/15 min walk to the marina and the better restaurants and bars that can be found at the back of the marina. It’s a 30 min, 24 euro journey from airport for 4 passengers and 4 cases (45 euro for airport taxi). Sea view and Vilamoura room views are fantastic. The rooms were better than I anticipated, although not ultra modern they were decent with very comfortable beds, a great shower and plenty of storage. Housekeeping do an excellent job here. Pool area has lots of mature plants and has been designed well. Nice terrace for drinks thoughout day and evening. DJ one early evening and 2 male singers another, both were good. Two pool tables located inside at bar was good for keeping teenagers entertained. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Cons - Guests start laying their towels to claim sunbeds from 7am. There are plenty sunbeds however those located around the pool are gone by about 830am. It’s beyond ridiculous with one guest reserving 11 sunbeds daily and not using until at least 11am. Staff occasionally go around with a clip board and note empty beds but I never once seen them removing a towel. There are too many parasols out of action and several beds that don’t adjust properly. New cushions would be good too. The bar and lobby needs attention from an interior designer. More money could be made at the bar if hotel invested in this. Although clean and spacious it’s very bland.

Excellent hotel, worthy of its five-star status. Staff were efficient and friendly. Minor quibbles: the water in the outdoor pool was freezing! The provision of USB charging points in bedrooms would be helpful.

On the whole, the hotel is ok and the staff are reasonably friendly. The breakfast is good. Cleaning services are a little mediocre. The gym is well equipped. The pool is a bit cold. Charging for the use of the balls for the pool table and for coffee pods in the rooms (for a 5 star hotel), really leaves a bad impression. A very basic knowledge of behavioural science should tell the management that these practices should be revised, as should asking for a deposit to use the towels at the pool. I don’t think customers will have a terrible experience at this hotel, but I personally wouldn’t visit again, or to the Faro region for that matter. Andalusia is much better (far more culture), and cheaper.

I rarely leave reviews but felt I needed to to help others. We stayed at the Tivoli last year and it was fabulous but unavailable for our dates. I chose the Crowne Plaza as it’s supposed to be five star but was disappointed from the second we arrived. The hotel is in desperate need of a returb and is simply incomparable to Tivoli. The check in staff did not offer to assist with our bags and the corridors have zero natural light which felt quite oppressive. The breakfast was good but the daytime staff in the pool bar areas were frankly hostile. No smiles, no making you feel like you are on holiday, just silent serving if you could get a drink. The umbrellas can’t be operated manually around the pool, you have to find a member of staff with a drill to do the operation- this took ages and is so inconvenient if you feel like you need a little shade at any point- I had to sit in the bushes until I could find someone. Bar staff refused to give us a champagne glass for the room and demanded we call room service even though we were going to the room- no poolside towels provided unless you give them a 30 euro deposit despite the fact they have your room number for returns! I paid £1500 for 3 nights and came away feeling robbed. No mini bar in the rooms, well there was a fridge but nothing stocked in it. The extra hangers I requested arrived the following day. Despite the fact the hotel is so dated, the staff could have made the difference and every request felt like an inconvenience

Ok, when deciding on staying at the hotel looking at the amenities is an important factor . The hotel boasts that they have both an outdoor and indoor pool. As we are travelling off season and the outdoor pool would not be suitable the fact that the hotel had an indoor pool was very attractive. Upon check in we were advised that to use the indoor pool would cost Eur16 per day so in effect a 30 minute swim would cost over 4 days a considerable amount . When I challenged the front desk as to why there was no mention of an additional cost to use the pool in Expedia I was told that laundry was also included as an option but this was not free !!!!! This was the most ridiculous comment as it is well known that hotels do NOT offer free laundry but as a seasoned traveller for work and business I have never had to pay for the use of an indoor pool at any other hotel worldwide. Considering the high nightly cost at this hotel we would not have stayed had we have kn own about the additional cost. Another thing to watch ou for is that should you use a coffee pod in the room the cost is Euro2.50 per pod !! Again this is the first time I have come across a hotel charging for coffee in the room.

The staff are exceptional. Very helpful and friendly . The hotel is spotless and the food excellent , breakfast and evening meal My only comments would be it isn’t quite a 5 star hotel.The indoor heated pool is within the Spa so entrance fee applies. The sun beds do not have cushions just towels and we didn’t have help with luggage out / into taxi as no one about , but a friendly member of staff did bring it to room . Overall a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning

We loved our stay here. Service was exceptional! Clean and smells so good. Great bar and pool. Easy access to the beach. A sign at the entrance would be helpful as it appears you’re pulling into another hotel. The boardwalk was nice but I wouldn’t venture to the left as we felt an unsafe vibe, but the Marina area was great.

I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Vilamoura for a few nights, and while there were some positive aspects, a few issues left me feeling underwhelmed. Lovely hotel on the coast in Villa Moura. The rooms were well presented and clean. The bed was large and really comfortable. The pool area was really nice with plenty of beds. The breakfast was good as was food from the restaurant. Lovely hotel overall would definitely return.

Frukosten var utmärkt. Ett stort utbud som fylldes på hela tiden. Vi skymtade havet från vårt rum. Bodde på vån 2 och hade en stor kupol ivägen för utsikten. Rummen var rena och hade väldigt bekväma sängar. Bra och hjälpsam personal. Om jag ska nämna något som var sämre så var det dåligt upplyst utanför hotellet. Och man skulle önska att spat ingick i vistelsen

Our stay began badly and only got worse. There was a booking error which created a double booking and the hotel staff could have fixed the issue but decided to charge me for the first night of the other reservsation. Room was filthy when we arrived

The rooms are old and not well maintained. Mold and mildew in the showers. Furniture is scratched. Good options are very limited. Would not recommend the property.

The staff are exceptional. Very helpful and friendly . The hotel is spotless and the food excellent , breakfast and evening meal My only comments would be it isn’t quite a 5 star hotel.The indoor heated pool is within the Spa so entrance fee applies. The sun beds do not have cushions just towels and we didn’t have help with luggage out / into taxi as no one about , but a friendly member of staff did bring it to room . Overall a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning

Everything about our stay was great, nothing to complain about. Our room was lovely, big balcony on 11th floor facing Quarteira side, partial sea view. The sunrise every morning was beautiful, sound of the waves at night was so calming. Juao at the reception was super friendly and he remembered our names instantly. Pool area and Pool bar really great. Breakfast was amazing. Lots around within walking distance - restaurants and shopping. Taxi to Albufeira was so cheap just 15 euros . Everything was great. Our holiday was amazing.

We stayed here as a family of six over the Easter weekend. The weather was not great so it was nice to have the indoor pool and spa and the children were allowed to use that in daytime hours. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful every day and the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The rooms are lovely and spacious, it’s definitely worth getting a part Sea view or a Seaview so that you can enjoy that from the balcony.

we paid for water view, they give us a room on the 1st floor with view to the roof. Not good at all. Was not clean. We need to clean ourself all the drawers. The sink in the bathroom was totally clogged. They don't leave nothing in the fridge for consume.

The staff were so helpful.Actual hotel is lovely,but rooms are very dark and need updating. Poolside loungers were snapped up,with some people leaving towels on them all day and not using them.Loungers should be allocated to rooms.

The Room was nice but a little dated. This was First hotel we ever stayed in , ever, that you had to pay for the coffee pods in your room after the first day :/ ( and the charge was excessively high for a single pod, which you had to order from room service) . Also our first hotel ( after 16 different ones in Europe this month) that you had to pay to use the sauna/steam/indoor pool. Staff were polite and friendly but not overly warm or welcoming. Main areas and outdoor pool, bar and lounges were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was extravagant and lovely. Beach access was great .

Retruned here after 10 years and just as comfortable as back then! The 11th floor suite was excellent. Spacious, clean, and with a great view of the sea. Breakfast buffet was enourmous! Staff very helpfull and polite. Pool snack bar and room service food ratther expensive, but well worth it.

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and possibly our last. I appreciate this is a busy time of year but I was disappointed to see so many sunbeds “reserved” at the pool. It appears the hotel have no interest in enforcing the “no reservation” policy. This is a 5 star hotel and it is a shame to see anti social behaviour allowed in a nice hotel - this is not a 3 star hotel in Albufeira. I reported this to the hotel but no action was taken. Having spent thousands of Euros to stay here in the last 5 years, we will now look elsewhere to stay. I do not want to arrive at the pool and stress out finding there were no free sunbeds. Otherwise, the breakfast was lovely as usual and the staff (especially Goncales) were welcoming. However, the room maids ignored us on two occasions when we passed them in the corridor - a simple smile would have been nice. Upon checking out, the receptionist did not ask if we enjoyed our stay - she just processed the bill. A little more of a personal touch would be nice.

Very good position virtually on the beach, half hour from airport. Good relaxing atmosphere in the hotel, lovely long pool and only a short walk to the marina. Best thing was the staff - all outstanding.

Not a lot of choice for vegans at breakfast. The lack of bar staff at the pool bar. On one occasion over a half hour wait to order a drink, however 98% of staff all gave excellent service from reception, room staff and servers. Be aware there were lots of additional deposit charges, from pool towels, adaptors and deposits daily in case of room charges. The location was excellent, and loads of beds around the pool plus clean and tidy. Some of the niggles do not detract from overall a nice break, and we would go back.

I rarely leave reviews but felt I needed to to help others. We stayed at the Tivoli last year and it was fabulous but unavailable for our dates. I chose the Crowne Plaza as it’s supposed to be five star but was disappointed from the second we arrived. The hotel is in desperate need of a returb and is simply incomparable to Tivoli. The check in staff did not offer to assist with our bags and the corridors have zero natural light which felt quite oppressive. The breakfast was good but the daytime staff in the pool bar areas were frankly hostile. No smiles, no making you feel like you are on holiday, just silent serving if you could get a drink. The umbrellas can’t be operated manually around the pool, you have to find a member of staff with a drill to do the operation- this took ages and is so inconvenient if you feel like you need a little shade at any point- I had to sit in the bushes until I could find someone. Bar staff refused to give us a champagne glass for the room and demanded we call room service even though we were going to the room- no poolside towels provided unless you give them a 30 euro deposit despite the fact they have your room number for returns! I paid £1500 for 3 nights and came away feeling robbed. No mini bar in the rooms, well there was a fridge but nothing stocked in it. The extra hangers I requested arrived the following day. Despite the fact the hotel is so dated, the staff could have made the difference and every request felt like an inconvenience

Unfortunately at the end of our holiday an extremely large contingent from 2 chartered surveyors attended the hotel, Shepherd and Hardies for a conference (lauguage around the pool, in the lifts and breakfast was appalling - more for a building site rather than a lovely hotel) which spoiled our experience.

It’s a stretch to call this hotel 5 stars. It’s nice and the staff are very friendly but it’s outdated. The pool area is lovely. Service is friendly but terrible. You literally have to chase staff to get a drink or order lunch and they have an amazing ability to not make eye contact with you if you want something. They supposedly have pool area staff but again they had an amazing way of avoiding any service levels. Not enough to put me off returning but do not expect a 5 star hotel and be assured of 2 star service but great location and people are very friendly.

Pros - Hotel is in a great location, across path from beach, and a 10/15 min walk to the marina and the better restaurants and bars that can be found at the back of the marina. It’s a 30 min, 24 euro journey from airport for 4 passengers and 4 cases (45 euro for airport taxi). Sea view and Vilamoura room views are fantastic. The rooms were better than I anticipated, although not ultra modern they were decent with very comfortable beds, a great shower and plenty of storage. Housekeeping do an excellent job here. Pool area has lots of mature plants and has been designed well. Nice terrace for drinks thoughout day and evening. DJ one early evening and 2 male singers another, both were good. Two pool tables located inside at bar was good for keeping teenagers entertained. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Cons - Guests start laying their towels to claim sunbeds from 7am. There are plenty sunbeds however those located around the pool are gone by about 830am. It’s beyond ridiculous with one guest reserving 11 sunbeds daily and not using until at least 11am. Staff occasionally go around with a clip board and note empty beds but I never once seen them removing a towel. There are too many parasols out of action and several beds that don’t adjust properly. New cushions would be good too. The bar and lobby needs attention from an interior designer. More money could be made at the bar if hotel invested in this. Although clean and spacious it’s very bland.

This was a lovely hotel where all of your needs are catered for. The room was lovely, with a balcony view along the beautiful, long, sandy beach, which was breath taking. Staff around the hotel couldn’t have done more for you. I know it isn’t for everyone, but all major football league matches were available in the bar, including the premier league. The beach was right in your doorstep, with lovely bars and restaurants dotted along.

Highly recommend this hotel. Very difficult to find anything negative to say about my experience. Staff were friendly & helpful. It was quiet at night and right on the beach. The choice of food at breakfast was endless. Dinner & bar food menu was very good too. Would love to stay there again.

Hotel is excellent, great facilities and food (I’d say the best buffet breakfast I’ve had) the staff are super friendly. Look forward to returning once again.

Frukosten var utmärkt. Ett stort utbud som fylldes på hela tiden. Vi skymtade havet från vårt rum. Bodde på vån 2 och hade en stor kupol ivägen för utsikten. Rummen var rena och hade väldigt bekväma sängar. Bra och hjälpsam personal. Om jag ska nämna något som var sämre så var det dåligt upplyst utanför hotellet. Och man skulle önska att spat ingick i vistelsen

Great hotel with reasonably priced lunch, drinks etc. Breakfast buffet is really great. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the marina. Beach was lovely too and water was energising!

The Room was nice but a little dated. This was First hotel we ever stayed in , ever, that you had to pay for the coffee pods in your room after the first day :/ ( and the charge was excessively high for a single pod, which you had to order from room service) . Also our first hotel ( after 16 different ones in Europe this month) that you had to pay to use the sauna/steam/indoor pool. Staff were polite and friendly but not overly warm or welcoming. Main areas and outdoor pool, bar and lounges were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was extravagant and lovely. Beach access was great .

Nice and cool inside spaces. Aircon in rooms worked perfectly and easy to use. Sunbed allocation could be better as very busy. Decor is getting a bit older in rooms but all spotless. Beds really comfortable Breakfast first class

The staff were wonderful at the hotel including the bellman, restaurant staff, spa and front desk. Our junior suite was lovely with a wonderful beach facing balcony.
