The location being right near the Castle was good for us as we went there for an excellent dinner It was at the top of a steep cobblestone street, and Uber does not go up that way We were told GPS does not work within the town walls When we had to call a taxi the morning, we were leaving the phones and Internet at the hotel were down. Fortunately, my phone had service to call a taxi. The Internet was down during our stay There is no one on duty after 5 o’clock or the last arranged check-in you are given a key for the side door to let yourself in I think if they were to unclutter some of the furniture, it would make it easier to maneuver with luggage It was an interesting experience

This is a storybook property, very quaint and charming. This is an old property though so don’t expect anything modern. Also, if you are a large person the small doors and hallways might be uncomfortable. This property is on-a walking street only about 1/3 mile to parking and a minute walk to the castle. Google maps originally put us on a very winding road that goes to the castle, don’t go this way, google Obidos Parking instead and avoid the windy roads.

What an incredible property to stay in! We have never stayed anywhere like this before and it exceeded all expectations! Absolutely gorgeous property, wonderfully maintained and historic. We loved the patio area with all the plants and flowers, breakfast was delicious, staff was incredible at helping us get transportation sorted. Great village, and we look forward to recommending it and returning in the future!
