Haadtien Beach Resort

Da vi når frem kan vi konstatere at vores værelse ligger klods op af en hytte som er ved at blive renoveret. Det betyder larm fra maskindrevet værktøj fra kl 9-17 HVER dag. Receptionen tilbyder et andet værelse med bedre udsigt, men larmen er den samme og vi takker nej. Som kompensation får vi aftensmad i restauranten incl Sodavand en enkelt aften. De siger at jeg skal forvente at larmen ikke vil fortsætte hele vores ophold. Men det var løgn. Sidste dag af vores ophold havde vi også glæde af stanken af maling fra renoveringsprojektet. Personalet brugte ikke mindre end 2 dage på at gå med en buskrydder og klippe græs på et stort areal ved poolen. Sammenlagt er vores ophold præget af den værste larm jeg har været udsat for i mands minde. Kontinuerlig maskinstøj fra alle vinkler. Værelserne er lidt slidte, knækkede fliser på badeværelset, fliser som falder af i poolen, noget der ligner et musehul i væggen. Sengen er hård og puderne elendige. Der blev i løbet af 6 overnatninger ikke skiftet sengetøj. Man møder ved ankomst et tomt køleskab på værelset og det er ikke muligt at købe snacks eller noget på hotellet. Man får dog 4 flasker vand om dagen. Morgenmaden som serveres på buffet er kaotisk, som på et all-inclusive resort. Af positive ting kan nævnes den fantastiske beliggenhed, gratis udlån af kajak på stranden samt shuttle til og fra færge og især personalet I restaurant og dem som håndterer kufferter knokler for at gæsterne skal have det godt. Ikke pengene værd. Desværre.

The property is not 4* The shared areas like the restaurant are unclean There seems to be a lot of staff who do very little There needs to be more security on the beach. Outside guests are not supposed to be within 25m of the beach properties, however this is not implemented by the security and outside guests lay wherever they want. Outside guests also fly drones right up to the windows of the guest properties which felt like invasion of privacy. The bus is at unhelpful hours so not much use. The water was filthy and snorkelling was not possible - may not be the fault of the hotel - however they do not clean up the beach of dirt, leaves and general litter. Syringe found on beach outside room. The shuttle to the ferry is too late, all guests nearly missed their ferry. The ferry is at 930am departure, the bus does not leave until 9/910 and is at least a 15 minute drive due to the suitcases being on the roof of the vehicle and needing to drive slow. This hotel needs improvement or to significantly decrease their prices

De havde lukket den ene pool hvilket skabte trængsel ved den anden pool, samtidig var der byggearbejde ved denne pool. Restauranten var noget dyr, også dyrere end hvad man kunne forvente på et resort af den kvalitet. Rengøringen var også meget tvivlsom. Personalet var rart og venligt og gode ved børn.

The area is very nice but it completely ruins the experience that the hotel alows everyone from the outside to get in. We paid a lot of money to stay here because of the beautiful outside areas that were very attractive to us. But we quickly realised that we could get all this by just walking in from the street so we feel very cheated and stupid for spending so much money on the hotel room. We were not even able to get a sunbed a single time the entire week because of the amount of people coming from the outside occupying the areas of the hotel.

Amazing beautiful spot in Shark Bay. We stayed many years ago as well but in the beach club. The only issue we had was we paid extra for the Beach Villa, they let Day guests into the resort & the unit style Beach club people come & sit right in front of your beach view. I know 1st world problems but people don't care and

booked 4 nights a Haadtien Villa, good size and equipped but really need to be updated, many details looked worn, used and old. Restaurant food okay, breakfast good and nice choices for international and asian taste. Swimming pool is nice, biut water wasn't really clean unfortuantely. Beach, sand and sea nice. Location a bit isolated, you need taxi ora bike to go other restaurant etc

the way to the cabins is not safe, weat and dangerous to fall and break a leg. coconut trees above the pool that sometimes the nut can fall of your head. the laggage procedure from the hotel to the pier is complicated. lack of shuttles that you should write yourself to the next day

Fantastisk läge vid stranden. Härlig infinitypool. God frukost. Bungalow med strandnära läge och havsutsikt

the service in the single restaurant exixts in resort is terrible. there is no signing on the room so extra-charge may occur( happened to me) because there is no signature on the recoepts. the access to hideaway cabins are terrible( you may fall and break some arm or leg) coconu trees around you is beautifull but very dangerous while coconuts are falling around you in the pool area. the protocol of check out is not so simple because you shoukd take care the laggage while shittle is not going to wait for you( there is a fairy to catch)

If you want a Robinson Crusoe holiday, Head Tien is as good as it gets if you still want an ensuite, a restaurant and a pool. Utterly charming place, could do a bit more on maintenance, cleanliness & shuttle options for the price, but the staff and location make up for any gaps. The snorkling is also great - shoals of large parrot fish chopping on coral. Be aware that it is on an almost vertical hill, so lots of steps up to rooms and down to restaurants so if you're not fit, it might not be for you. It's also isolated and a taxi or shuttle bus away from any action.

Run Away While You Still Can! This resort was recommended by my wife's sister, but I didn’t expect it to be so disappointing. The only positive aspect was the crystal-clear sea. Everything else needs serious improvement, and I feel like I wasted my vacation money, especially compared to our stay at Ko Samui. We booked through Expedia and realized too late that our arrival and departure times didn’t match the ferry schedules, forcing us to shorten our stay. The resort offered no compensation. The bungalow was in poor condition: taped curtains for mosquitoes, a clogged shower drain, damaged wooden panels, and drafts everywhere. The frequent blackouts lasted much longer than expected. Cleanliness was a major issue; our room was rarely cleaned, and there was a used towel left under the sink the entire time. The beach wasn’t equipped; there were only 8 umbrellas and 35 sunbeds for about 100 rooms, making it a daily struggle to find a spot. Breakfast was limited and of poor quality, with undercooked pancakes and stale croissants. The on-site restaurant was overpriced and the food was subpar. We preferred to eat in town, where prices were much lower. The staff was generally unfriendly, and the beach was small, with no room for long walks. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money. The only saving grace was checking out early and spending our last day at a better resort in Ko Samui.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet – direkt an einem wunderschönen, privaten Strand, ideal für Ruhe und Erholung. Die Umgebung ist ansprechend, und der Shuttle-Service ins Zentrum ist grundsätzlich praktisch. Das Hotel hätte aufgrund seiner Lage und des Strands viel Potenzial und könnte mit einer Renovierung eine erstklassige Unterkunft werden. - Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig – in unserem Zimmer lag ein großes, bereits länger totes Insekt, und Geckos sowie andere Insekten waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Zudem wuchs eine Pflanze von draußen ins Zimmer, was auf mangelnde Instandhaltung hindeutet. Das Personal war wenig motiviert und nicht besonders zuvorkommend. Der Shuttle-Service fährt bereits um 19:30 Uhr zurück, was uns zu früh war, zumal man darauf oder auf ein Taxi/Roller angewiesen ist, da das Hotel auf einem Hügel liegt. Das Frühstück war für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel eher enttäuschend.

Vi var slet ikke tilfredse. Værelset var mega beskidt og levede slet ikke op til forventningerne eller de billeder der er af hotellet. (billederne jeg oplader er sådan det så ud da vi tjekkede ind!!!) Hytterne er ikke “villaer”, men bungalows som vel er 10-15 år gamle. Vi klagede første dag da vi ikke synes værelset var ret. Rengøringen kom først dagen efter. Efter de havde “gjort det grundigt rent” var det stadig ikke rent. Vi klagede igen og de sendte en Manager som ville have os til at vise dem hvor der var beskidt. Bør det ikke være hotellets opgave?? De gjorde rent igen (nu 2-3 dage efter vi tjekkede ind) og det var stadig ikke særlig rent. Vi gav op… det er til grin at kalde sig et 4 stjernet strand resort hvis ikke en gang basal rengøring er i orden. Hotellet markedsfører sig med at være “private Beach”, “tranquil” hvor man kan komme med i gear - det er desværre ikke sådan det er i virkeligheden. Stranden er en OFFENTLIG strand, hvor alle og enhver kan købe sig adgang i hotel receptionen. Dvs. der hver dag var fyldt på stranden med folk der kom og lagde deres håndklæder foran græsplænen hvor hotellets gæster ligger på liggestole. Eftersom cannabis er lovligt i Thailand betyder det at vi som hotelgæster lå i cannabis stank hver dag fra strandgæster som brugte den “offentlige” strand. Servicen var generel så sløv. Eneste plus var maden. Vi fik sågar ødelagt en del af vores lejescooter på hotellets parkeringsplads fordi den hver dag er proppet med strandgæster.

Hyggelig villa ved stranden, dog virkede det lidt slidt og gammelt, derudover fandt vi kakerlakker på værelset flere dage.

We spent seven nights at this hotel, starting with three nights in a beach villa before moving to a getaway villa with a sea view. Both accommodations were excellent—tastefully designed, spotless, and well-maintained with daily cleaning, fresh towels, and complimentary water. The service was outstanding; the staff were always helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Given that this hotel is located on one of Koh Tao’s most beautiful and well-known beaches, it can get a bit crowded on certain days. However, this did not affect our experience at all. We also appreciated the daily shuttle service to and from Sairee Beach, which made exploring the area easy. Currently, the hotel is renovating to relocate breakfast service to the second restaurant, which is a necessary improvement. The only minor downside of our stay was the breakfast experience, particularly the waiting time for the coffee machine. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return on our next visit to Koh Tao!

The prices for food at the resort (although the food is good) is quite expensive, as expensive as some of the 5 stars resorts on the main islands. The breakfast options are very limited. we had to change room and both times the toilets seats were damaged. The hot water was not working properly. And finally the resort is severely under staff. Avoid at all cost!

We were put way in the back and it was close to a half mile to get to our room. Husband got sick from dinner. Big gap in the doorway letting in bugs. Bed was super hard and uncomfortable.

Unorganized start. Didn’t have control of our 4 room booking, but managed it in the end. We had deluxe villa with own pool first night. Felt old -outdated and worn. The rooms was also furthest away from everything - beach, pool, resturant. Last two nights we had Getaway villa - much more fresh, close to everything. Insects at the restaurant - avoid for dinner.

Everything was fine, but could be fab. Dinner quite good, breakfast wasn’t great quality or taste though. Overall good & a nice resort.

Dieses Hotel war die größte Enttäuschung unserer Thailand-Reise. Online wirkte es wie ein Schmuckstück, fühlte sich aber als Abzocke an. Der Service war chaotisch. Besonders für Familien ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. • Nicht barrierefrei: Hunderte Stufen zur Rezeption – mit Buggy unmöglich. • Kinderstühle: Es gibt genau einen, kaputt und verschimmelt. Beschwerden wurden ignoriert. • Zimmer: Türen schließen nicht richtig, Ausstattung unzureichend (kein Besen, kein geschlossener Mülleimer). • Baustelle & Lärm: Neben unserem ersten Bungalow wurde gebaut, die Klimaanlage war extrem laut. Nach Umzug roch es nach Urin. • Hotelzustand: teilweis defekte Möbel, mangelnde Sauberkeit, rostiges Kinderbett. • Pool: Plastikflaschen und Coladosen stapeln sich – von „eco-friendly“ keine Spur. • Shuttle-Service: Trotz Reservierung um 14 Uhr wurden zwei Busse gefüllt, während wir mit Baby und Kind 35 Minuten in der prallen Sonne warten mussten – niemand kümmerte sich. Auch bei der Abreise Chaos: erneut 15 min Verspätung, das Gepäck kam später hinterher. Wir erreichten die Fähre gerade noch so. Positives Die Lage ist traumhaft, der Strand wunderschön. Allerdings gibt es viel Plastikmüll (wofür das Hotel nichts kann), und der öffentliche Zugang bedeutet, dass externe Besucher sich direkt vor den Bungalows niederlassen. Die Mitarbeiter waren bemüht und entschuldigten sich oft, hatten jedoch keine Lösungen und es gab keinerlei Entschädigungen oder Aufmerksamkeiten.

Staff here are friendly and super helpful, great service. Coral reef in front of hotel were not much to see. You still can see fish and turtle. You can rent a boat to snorkel around island for reasonable price. Breakfast good choices were okay. Overall we were enjoyed and happy. We would be back and stay here again if we come back to this Island.

It was our second time at Haadtien and will not be the last time. Everything is on point. Very nice atmosphere and staff is very professional and friendly. Rooms are perfect and if you book a little Bit in advance the Rates are very fair.

Personalet var rigtig søde - bortset fra de to damer i receptionen, som var arrogante og grinede hånligt, da vi bad dem komme og lukke 3 ud af 4 døre, der ikke kunne lukkes, da der kom både myg og fireben ind af disse! Alt for dyre priser på hotellets restaurant ift kvalitet. Hotellet bliver desværre ikke vedligeholdt, på trods af den har en smuk lokation!

Wunderschönens Bungalow direkt am Stand (schon etwas älter, aber trotzdem schön), Frühstück leider nur bis 10am. Essen jedoch jedoch immer hervorragend. Personal oft leider nicht so motiviert und unflexibel bei individuellen Wünschen (Zwischenverpflegung & Minibar) Wichtig: Snacks & Getränke bei der Ankunft in Ko Tao besorgen, da Hotelstandort sehr abgelegen ist. Sehr schöne Bucht, Riff leider sehr Tod. Nur vereinzelt Fische & Schildkröten unterwegs. Insgesamt sehr schöner Ort wo das Hotel sicher profitiert. Strand leider auch für zahlende Gäste, könnte in Hochsaison überlaufen sein.

Run Away While You Still Can! This resort was recommended by my wife's sister, but I didn’t expect it to be so disappointing. The only positive aspect was the crystal-clear sea. Everything else needs serious improvement, and I feel like I wasted my vacation money, especially compared to our stay at Ko Samui. We booked through Expedia and realized too late that our arrival and departure times didn’t match the ferry schedules, forcing us to shorten our stay. The resort offered no compensation. The bungalow was in poor condition: taped curtains for mosquitoes, a clogged shower drain, damaged wooden panels, and drafts everywhere. The frequent blackouts lasted much longer than expected. Cleanliness was a major issue; our room was rarely cleaned, and there was a used towel left under the sink the entire time. The beach wasn’t equipped; there were only 8 umbrellas and 35 sunbeds for about 100 rooms, making it a daily struggle to find a spot. Breakfast was limited and of poor quality, with undercooked pancakes and stale croissants. The on-site restaurant was overpriced and the food was subpar. We preferred to eat in town, where prices were much lower. The staff was generally unfriendly, and the beach was small, with no room for long walks. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money. The only saving grace was checking out early and spending our last day at a better resort in Ko Samui.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet – direkt an einem wunderschönen, privaten Strand, ideal für Ruhe und Erholung. Die Umgebung ist ansprechend, und der Shuttle-Service ins Zentrum ist grundsätzlich praktisch. Das Hotel hätte aufgrund seiner Lage und des Strands viel Potenzial und könnte mit einer Renovierung eine erstklassige Unterkunft werden. - Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig – in unserem Zimmer lag ein großes, bereits länger totes Insekt, und Geckos sowie andere Insekten waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Zudem wuchs eine Pflanze von draußen ins Zimmer, was auf mangelnde Instandhaltung hindeutet. Das Personal war wenig motiviert und nicht besonders zuvorkommend. Der Shuttle-Service fährt bereits um 19:30 Uhr zurück, was uns zu früh war, zumal man darauf oder auf ein Taxi/Roller angewiesen ist, da das Hotel auf einem Hügel liegt. Das Frühstück war für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel eher enttäuschend.

There have been several things during our stay that we are not entirely satisfied with. this hotel is a more expensive hotel and we payed a lot of money for our stay. we expected a quiet, relaxing and undisturbed stay here. but that is not what we have experienced. there were a lot of noise from behind our cabin all day with work / hammering and knocking. They were out of ice cream, and we believe that a hotel this expensive should keep track of its food and ice cream supplies to avoid running out. We can’t just go into town to get ice cream elsewhere. when vi asked at the pool bar, we were told that there is no food / snack by the pool even though it is written on your website that this is possible. A lot of construction work throughout the resort that we have not been notified about, it ruins the calm atmosphere we had expected here at this resort. We should have received an email or something with information before our stay. There had been a lot of noise doing our stay here. From construktion, or other working. And now to day with tree felling all afternoon. It has not been possible to sit in the Capri restaurant, the pillows have been packed away all days, and it has looked very closed. At the website it say that this restaurant is open? Our cabin was very used and worn, the television did not work optimally and we have been plagued by many geeks and there is still om samaller geeko at the cabin. They have woken us up every night, the cabin is very leaky.

Four star resort, but service, cleanliness, food and upkeep is a three star experience. Still a great choice if you are looking for good value. Very beautiful location and garden. Lots of fish and turtles, but the reef is tired.

Vi hade en toppen vistelse! Fin strand och otrolig bungalow. Restaurangen hade inte jättebra mat och det var dyrt. Så tips är att ha moppe när man bor här.

Wunderschönens Bungalow direkt am Stand (schon etwas älter, aber trotzdem schön), Frühstück leider nur bis 10am. Essen jedoch jedoch immer hervorragend. Personal oft leider nicht so motiviert und unflexibel bei individuellen Wünschen (Zwischenverpflegung & Minibar) Wichtig: Snacks & Getränke bei der Ankunft in Ko Tao besorgen, da Hotelstandort sehr abgelegen ist. Sehr schöne Bucht, Riff leider sehr Tod. Nur vereinzelt Fische & Schildkröten unterwegs. Insgesamt sehr schöner Ort wo das Hotel sicher profitiert. Strand leider auch für zahlende Gäste, könnte in Hochsaison überlaufen sein.

We spent seven nights at this hotel, starting with three nights in a beach villa before moving to a getaway villa with a sea view. Both accommodations were excellent—tastefully designed, spotless, and well-maintained with daily cleaning, fresh towels, and complimentary water. The service was outstanding; the staff were always helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Given that this hotel is located on one of Koh Tao’s most beautiful and well-known beaches, it can get a bit crowded on certain days. However, this did not affect our experience at all. We also appreciated the daily shuttle service to and from Sairee Beach, which made exploring the area easy. Currently, the hotel is renovating to relocate breakfast service to the second restaurant, which is a necessary improvement. The only minor downside of our stay was the breakfast experience, particularly the waiting time for the coffee machine. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return on our next visit to Koh Tao!

Unorganized start. Didn’t have control of our 4 room booking, but managed it in the end. We had deluxe villa with own pool first night. Felt old -outdated and worn. The rooms was also furthest away from everything - beach, pool, resturant. Last two nights we had Getaway villa - much more fresh, close to everything. Insects at the restaurant - avoid for dinner.
