The location is amazing as you have direct access to beach and when you are finished at beach you can use the facilities of the swimming pool and the hot tub. The children play ground is good however we didn’t find the trampoline pillow. What wasn’t good was there is no bath within the cabins so hard when wanting to bath young toddler who aren’t keen on a shower. Also not all rooms have a ceiling fan so warm in bedroom without a ceiling fan. The bed quality is terrible as the springs can be felt and really a rough sleep. But regardless the experience was great due to location

We loved how close this property was to the beach and it was also a short walk from Cowes Jetty and Thompson Ave shops. The room was clean and had basic amenities. The room included a hair dryer, which was an unexpected perk. The resort has been designed that you could stay without needing reception, through online check-in/out, perfect if you arrive/leave outside reception hours. We had to ask for some larger plates and cutlery but reception was accommodating. There is a restaurant within the property, and some meals are nice from it. Unfortunately the TV channels hardly worked so we didn't actually watch it. Despite the spa not being very warm, we still enjoyed it a few times during our stay.

Check in is smooth with free parking, complete amenities in the rooms, kitchen, dining, outdoor tables, shower and jacuzzi. They also have outdoor pool and jacuzzi to enjoy in the evening it’s amazing I highly recommend.

Kaloha is in an excellent spot, with private access to the beach. The complex is large, but quiet considering how many people can stay. The pool is lovely, the playground is fine (a little dated) and the room was very clean and tidy. The room had everything we needed for a short stay. All staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming.

We stayed for 3 nights in July to visit the penguin parade. Overall it was fairly good value, but it really is a motel. On check in I was advised the restaurant and bar isn’t open at all today,on a Sunday, in school holidays! The location is great - the beach is just down the end of the road, and the main streets of town about 5 mins drive away. There’s a small kids playground on site. Their website advertises a jumping pillow, which my kids were excited about - but it’s been dismantled. We went for a walk to the beach - though never found it! We walked about 5 mins to the end of the property and came to a door that led to a promenade, that was not beach front - but we couldn’t get back through it if we walked out (luckily I checked!). The best part about the “resort” was the hot spa. BUT - something they didn’t tell me on check in, nor is it in the guest info folder - you have to request they turn it on so it’s hot when you want it. We were lucky in day 1 and 2, but on our last day it wasn’t hot when we went in. It took about an hour to heat up, not too bad - but very important information they do not make known. We had a drainage issue in our bathroom and it became very unsafe. I would have hoped they would move us, but they just gave us a wad of towels each day to put down. another flaw is there’s no instructions for how to use the cooktop. They provide a guest folder with instructions for WiFi and AC and lots of other info - but nothing on the cooktop - crazy!

It was my first time and the facilities is awesome with the pool and spa outdoor. Not sure why the spa need booking and unfortunately power outage. But overall a good experience and will come again

The room was fresh and clean but found a dirty mug and teaspoons in the cupboard. The bathroom door in room 18 was hard to open and close. I also paid $60 for chocolates but received a 340g box of Cadbury Favourites which was disappointing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant on-site is handy but not open every day. I enjoyed the spa and like that you can book the spa. Overall I enjoyed our stay.

Room was shocking dirty with cobwebs everywhere hanging down and walls had thick dust all over them that when you touch them you left a handprint. Blinds were splattered with Brown filth. Old prehistoric blankets on the bed, cold for winter, need to update their bedding. Outside lights did not come on when it was dark out and dangerous to walk down the stairs, sensors are not set for the right timing/season. Bathroom rot around cupboards. Overall, not a pleasant stay, would not visit here again.

Customer service was good and the most important things in the room were clean, however there was dust everywhere (including a bathroom vent that I don't think has ever been cleaned) and lots of squashed bugs over the ceiling and blinds. The room is described as sound proof but is far from it! You can hear next doors conversations. The room was a bit tired, the paint around the door frames and on the doors were really badly flaked away. Distance to the beach was amazing. If youre looking for a budget place to stay close to the beach where you just need a bed to sleep in, its perfect. If youre looking for a bit more comfort or luxury, probably not the place.

Good size family room. Bathroom could be updated (rusty towel holder, toilet button stuck, toilet seat was moving, dirty grouts, wash basin slow drainage). Kitchen we have to wash dishes but no scourer/sponge was provided. Most cups were tea stained already.

Perfect location, so close to the centre and to the beach. Loved the tropical view with many palms. We had a huge jetted spa in the room. The room is a bit dated but very clean. Happy to book again.

Nice property. Clean, tidy and a short walk to Cowes Main Street. It’s not a 5 star hotel but it doesn’t pretend to be one. The buildings are old but the rooms have been renovated enough to be comfortable. Very quiet area, close to a beach. If you struggle with stairs or even taking your bags upstairs then request a ground floor as there are no lifts. Would stay here again

I had no contact with staff until the final morning when housekeeping staff barged into the room at 09:00 insisting that I’d already checked out. The room was very small and noisy. Placing numerous tables & chairs outside each room creates a perception that guests can sit outside someone’s room all night drinking and smoking - which they did. The room I stayed in had been only partially clean with parts of the bathroom dirty and the microwave dirty. Apart from 2 cups, 2 saucers and 2 teaspoons there was no crockery or cutlery and yet there was a microwave, toaster and electric kettle and access to a BBQ area. When booking the room there was no indication that the room was situated up 16 steps. Neither was there any indication that the room overlooked van sites with those residents having set up a noisy externally located TV together with 8 seats. Even cabins in caravan parks offer a separation from capers. In summary: a very budget stay without the benefit of a budget price.

The location of the resort was great - the backdoor opened right on the beach. The bed and pillows were not super comfy. The crockery and cutlery were not clean either. The furniture inside the room was beaten up - needed an upgrade. But the resort was nice looking with lots of palm trees. It was an ok stay, and would consider staying here again.

The property stated the rooms were sound proof and very highly rated in this regard. We strongly disagree with this statement as the rooms were not at all sound proof. You could hear a lot of sounds from neighbouring apartments. They also said the way had block out blinds and this wasn’t the case.

I had no contact with staff until the final morning when housekeeping staff barged into the room at 09:00 insisting that I’d already checked out. The room was very small and noisy. When booking the room there was no indication that the room was situated up 16 steps. Neither was there any indication that the room overlooked van sites with those residents having set up a noisy externally located TV together with 8 seats. Even cabins in caravan parks offer a separation from capers. In summary: a very budget stay without the benefit of a budget price.

We only stayed one night, but I can see the appeal for longer stays. Check-in/Check-out is by email. Fully equipped rooms, many dining options close by and great beach access. The TV remote was broken, and could have more coffee an sugar in the room.

A weekend of nostalgia visiting childhood memories with two older ladies heading in different directions. Aloha was perfect for us as who ever stayed in (we had one hire car) was a step from wild beach walking and a block from a charming shopping precinct. The on site restaurant was superb.

This property was great. Staff went out of their way to assist me. Extremely clean room. Only issue could have had a large plate and some bowls and additional cutlery. The on site restaurant serves high quality food. Bed was comfortable. If full it could be a bit noisy but not an issue off season. Would stay there again.

Very friendly staff. The only issue I had were the steep stairs to the room which was on the 1st floor. I hadn't checked when I booked, which is entirely my fault. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but I find that at most places we stay. We dined onsite at the Palms restaurant, and the food and service were excellent. I would stay again, but would make sure I had a ground floor room.

Room was clean and comfortable. Could only use the restaurant one night, other times it was booked for functions and no communication letting us know and not open for breakfast. Staff were very friendly though. A bit noisy at times around the resort.
