The hotel has a very old-fashioned style. The carpet in my room was very worn and there was a hole in the wall. Be prepared to have a parking lot if you are lucky, as the hotel does not have enough parking lots.

very poor 4* hotel. despite the staff being excellent, we found the hotel underwhelming especially compared to other 4* liburnia establishments. fitness room is outdated and comically small (3 machines of which one was our of order), sauna is extra charge and only available if booked in advance, pool towels are paid. the breakfast terrace has a nice view but is crowded with sassy pigeons that will eat out of your plate if you don’t whisk them away constantly! we found pigeon feathers in the eggs that were served (yuck!) avoid!

Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. wir hatten ein Upgrade erhalten und somit Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer, die Kvarner Bucht , Krk und Cres. Superschön! Zimmer gingen auf die autofreie Strandpromende (12km). dieses Teilstück ist sehr belebt. Nachts teilweise laut wegen nahegelegener Musikanlagen. man könnte aber die Fenster schließen, da es eine Klimaanlage gibt. Es gibt eine Hotelplattform mit kostenpflichtigen Liegestühlen und Schirmen. Das Meer ist schön und klar zum schwimmen. Allerdings fließt direkt am Hotel ein sehr kalter Bach rein. Dementsprechend ist das Wasser teilweise ziemlich kalt. Das Frühstück und Abendsessen wird in Buffetform angeboten. Ist reichlich, gut und günstig.

Rarely write reviews but this one deserves one. Poorly kept and ugly hotel, no refurbishing has been made here for years! Bathroom door lock did not reopen from inside. Paint falling off facade. Banana coloured interior. TV in room was unlogically placed in front of a simple chair, no couch. Sea view was in reality a view of a roof top with pigeons and lots of guano, forcing us to keep windows closed which was a big problem because the rooms ventilation system was seriously oversprayed with a horrible perfume (probably to cover other smells from old carpets etc) that made us sick. Had to keep AC off. Also note they charge almost 15 euro for old sunbeds + extra for towels. Parking is limited and charge is 20 euro per day.

Beautiful location on the waterfront. We had a ocean view room that very nice. Breakfast was very good on the veranda overlooking the sea. Pool was a saltwater indoor pool and the “beach” was a patio over the sea wall. Hotel was on the boardwalk so we could walk up and down the area to see the sites and get to shopping and restaurants. The room A/C kept going out and failed to cool the room consistently. The hotel was right on the road and their was no convenient area to stop and unload the car, had to pull up on the sidewalk. Parking was in a nearby parking garage. Overall nice hotel in a beautiful area.

Nice hotel in a nice location, however we were charged to park 2 motorcycles outside the hotel. Never had to pay to park before unless it was in a garage.

Good: Great location, right by the water. Nice Staff. It has an old fashioned Charme. Bad: Shower didnt close properly and while you can see that they are doing the daily cleaning, it s also clear that a general, more detailed cleaning is overdue. Near the hinge the toilet seat is very dirty and there is some dark mold between the tiles in the shower. The AC works well but is very noisy. So on a hot night you need to choose between not sleeping because of the noise or not sleeping because of the heat. For the non-smokers it is important to know that on the breakfast terrace it is allowed to smoke. I didnt know there are still places in Europe where you can do that. Speaking of breakfast. the price is fair but it shines rather though quantity than through quality. Despite those points it was still an ok stay, but considering the price i might try out other options in the future.

Trevligt hotell i den fina staden Opatija. Bra läge, nära till allt. AC var så där då den förde ett väldigt oväsen så den kunde vi inte använda på natten då det var som varmast, det tar ner betyget på rummet. Annars var det en fin vistelse på hotellet med 3 övernattningar.

Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. wir hatten ein Upgrade erhalten und somit Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer, die Kvarner Bucht , Krk und Cres. Superschön! Zimmer gingen auf die autofreie Strandpromende (12km). dieses Teilstück ist sehr belebt. Nachts teilweise laut wegen nahegelegener Musikanlagen. man könnte aber die Fenster schließen, da es eine Klimaanlage gibt. Es gibt eine Hotelplattform mit kostenpflichtigen Liegestühlen und Schirmen. Das Meer ist schön und klar zum schwimmen. Allerdings fließt direkt am Hotel ein sehr kalter Bach rein. Dementsprechend ist das Wasser teilweise ziemlich kalt. Das Frühstück und Abendsessen wird in Buffetform angeboten. Ist reichlich, gut und günstig.

Beautiful location on the waterfront. We had a ocean view room that very nice. Breakfast was very good on the veranda overlooking the sea. Pool was a saltwater indoor pool and the “beach” was a patio over the sea wall. Hotel was on the boardwalk so we could walk up and down the area to see the sites and get to shopping and restaurants. The room A/C kept going out and failed to cool the room consistently. The hotel was right on the road and their was no convenient area to stop and unload the car, had to pull up on the sidewalk. Parking was in a nearby parking garage. Overall nice hotel in a beautiful area.

Lovely hotel close to the centre of Opatija. Room was big and clean with a fantastic sea view. Breakfast and evening meals were both buffet affairs but a huge selection and good quality. Facilities are good too with an indoor pool, sauna, small gym etc. Great location and lovely to be able to walk along the Lungomare to either Volosko or Lovran. It's apparently recently been downgraded from a 4* to a 3* hotel, but we didn't see why, it felt 4* to us. Loved Opatija overall too, a great stay
