Beautiful Hotel; enjoyed our week long stay. The only problem was the lunch service; you just cannot get served. One half hour to get someone to take an order an additional half hour to get served. After the third day, we started lunching elsewhere, there are many options in walking distance. The restaurant needs new management. Edwin was a great server; he had zero help. The hotel is in an excellent location. We would return.

Beautiful hotel, but totally discussing breakfast. The wonderful terrace overlooking the ocean was full of disgusting pigons that flew around and landed on our , and others, table. Because the staff was so poorly organised many tables were full of left over breakfasts, so the pigons were having a feast. Many guests, like us, was surprised that the staff did nothing about the pigons. And it was not a priority to clean the tables or the floor. Interestingly was also that the hotel manager was walking around also, and did nothing….🙃 It is to bad that the first thing I will remember of this fantastic hotel is the disgusting pigons and the poorly koordinated staff.

Very nice hotel, modern new terrace, great access to the beach. Breakfast and all the drinks were great too. Staff was polite and kind. We will be back soon.

We had a wonderful week at Hotel Kvarner in Opatija. After upgrading to a Deluxe Oceanfront Room, we enjoyed a comfortable 26 m² room with stunning sea views. The location is excellent, and we loved exploring the beautiful 12-km Lungomare promenade every day. Breakfast was very good, with freshly prepared dishes available at no extra cost. We also had dinner at the hotel twice, and both meals were excellent. The service throughout our stay was outstanding, thanks to the friendly and dedicated staff. The only drawbacks were the crowded concrete swimming platform with too few sunbeds and the noise from nearby concerts and events. Unfortunately, on our last night, loud music continued until 4 a.m. Despite these issues, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Kvarner

Excellent, first class service from our morning waitress Cresily who looked after us exceptionally well. Room was generally good but area around the outside doors to balcony was poorly maintained with big cracks around the frame. Curtains could not be drawn fully leaving a large gap at the top. Air conditioning was not working in the room when we arrived Tuesday evening and after raising this with a member of the reception staff the following morning, it was discovered there was a general fault in the hotel and a firm had to be contacted to fix it - which they did on Friday. It meant the first 3 nights were quite uncomfortable for us as it was quite hot in the room. Despite the hotel advert stated "Soak up the sunrays by the outdoor pool with sea water" when we booked the holiday, the pool was CLOSED which was a very big disappointment for us. Two separate events at the hotel meant the outside facilities were curtailed for most of Friday and the following day an afternoon and evening event lead to noise in our corridor which was not caused by hotel residents.
