Booked here for the indoor pool but it was on restricted hours due to renovations, which meant I did not use the pool. Unable to reach the hotel by phone. It was on a loop to the answer phone. Consequently, without instructions, it took a bit of finding, on foot, in the rain. However, once at the hotel I found the staff friendly and helpful. The bed and room were comfortable with good facilities.

I stayed at the hotel during a business trip and brought my family along. We booked two rooms and requested that they be on the same floor and close to each other. I was told this couldn’t be guaranteed, but they would try their best. I even upgraded one of the rooms to improve the chances, but unfortunately, the rooms ended up on different floors. This made things very difficult, and I had to sleep on the couch to stay with my children. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the swimming pool, so my boys could enjoy it while I was in meetings. However, the pool was only open from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, which overlaps with dinner and our usual time out, so we weren’t able to use it at all. This limited availability should be clearly mentioned on the website. The rooms themselves were fine, and the location is very good. However, the staff could have been more attentive and helpful, especially when it came to accommodating families and handling room arrangements. A more solution-oriented approach would have made a big difference in our overall experience.

Great location in the city and easy to walk most places, tram stop right outside. Room was a little bit tired. Cleanliness wasnt great, mould in the shower and around shower area. The surfaces in the kicthenette had visbile dirt and smears on wall upon check in.

Location was great, staff were friendly, room was spacious and everything appeared generally clean and tidy upon entry. However there were a few markings on the wall next to the sink that looked like makeup smudges, and worst of all was the crusted and dried body fluids (urine and blood) down the front of the toilet bowl.

The hotel is in a great location. The carpets were poorly cleaned and maintained. There were 2 lifts that were not operational. 1 lift that was functional broke with passengers stuck inside. The one cleaner was oversubscribed and could not clean all of the rooms daily.

Very friendly reception staff, lovely big clean room, very comfortable bed and quiet. If I had to pick anything wrong it was the shower floor need a good scrub on the edges but all in all very clean and great hotel.

Room in good condition & staff courteous. Couple of things needed some maintenance like bath rail & shelves in cupboard over basin in bathroom. Rooms serviced every 2 nd day so a toilet brush would be handy

The carpet near the sink area was soaking wet when I checked in. It didn't dry that evening, and the concierge did tried to use a towel to dry it, and another towel over it, so that I didn't have to step on it. It slipped my mind that the housekeeping is done alternate day. Hence the 2nd day, when I returned to the room, it smell like dirty soaked socks that has been left there for days. I had a headache and couldn't sleep. The next day, the concierge arranged for deep cleaning which will dry the spot and remove the stench. The room smell so much better with room spray on that 3rd day. However, on the 4th evening, as the room spray has faded, the stench seems to appear, though not as strong, but it's there. The maximum room temperature is at 26 degC, and it seems to be at AC mode instead of heater mode. On days with the stench lingering in the room, I had to keep the temperature to 22 degC or lower and it's too cold for me. I hope this is a one-off bad experience, due to the wet carpet left by the previous guest. About resolving the stench issues, the concierge and housekeeper had done their best. Could be better if another round of cleaning happened on Day 2. The room is big and spacious, king size bed is comfortable. Luggage drop off & storage is well provided. Location wise, tram station is right at the door step. Very convenient to get around the city.

Centrally located. Easily accessible. Not particularly clean. We had to request room servicing. Very slow front dest service (albiet very friendly though). Bathroom smelled of urine and there was mould in shower. Needs a deep clean. Laundry very dirty also.

I was disappointed. Booked a executive room for the view but that wasn't that expected. Big room but only one Windows and was located between 2 walls so it was very dark even during the day. Didn't get the view as expected for the paid price. As a Silver member, I didn't receive any bottle of wine. So disappointed

Upgraded to the renovated Studio Executive room on 16th floor. There is a city view, but rather obscured by the building on both right and left side. The chemical smell (fresh renovation or bleach) sort of goes away once you turn on aircon, but can be quite annoying, especially in the kitchen area. Everything is super-clean, everything works, though we had to plug the TV antenna ourselves. Instead of the king size bed with cheap wobbly mattress (maximum shaking, noise and partner disturbance), could have left queen-size beds with decent mattresses. I miss the divider between the bed and the living area/ toilet. Watch your head when you get up to go to the bathroom in the dark - there is a floor lamp aiming for your face right on the way. I am not a greatest fan of the layout with the bathroom vanity outside of the bathroom, next to the sofa with tiny glass-covered coffee table, watch your knees getting from the bed to the toilet in the dark. Due to the bed size, it is hard to get around the bed if you sleep next to the window. USB chargers are available only on one side of the bed. Only one chair to sit at the table if you want to have breakfast in the room. There is a lot of space, but Studio Executive room is not couples friendly.

The location was great, with trams right outside the front entrance. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable. It was great to have a kitchenette. Negatives: the shower could only be put on about half strength to avoid the whole bathroom floor being flooded. The room is very bland, with no decoration or colour - no pictures or ornaments, just a bit boring and forgettable.

We loved our stay at Citadines. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was such a great size that we could have friends and family visit and drop by with a place to sit and catch up comfortably. The room was so comfortable and a lovely home away from home for the duration of our stay. We didn't want to leave, and can't wait to come back again sometime in the future.

Great location right on the team line. Woolies close by. Good wifi. Comfy bed. Good water pressure but strange shower layout made it impossible to turn on the shower without getting yourself and the floor wet. Nice linen and towels. Room could use some love. Spacious room with small kitchenette great for Brekky and lunch and easy dinner. But Carpet and sofa a bit shabby. Grout around sink and shower needs more work. Cleaning service was not provided by 3:00 on Day 3 and so I just got rubbish emptied and towels replaced and only because I chased down the cleaner. Front desk were great on check in but the morning of check out looked and acted like he’d rather be anywhere else.

staff didn’t checked me in to a room that i booked for. they said it’s not available. then they said they upgraded me to a room but i didn’t like it. they said the room type was not available. but on the website it was still showing 3 more rooms available. so when i asked after checking into the room they said the same thing. thereafter when i insisted they provided me the room i booked for. so they had it all along but reluctant to give until i insist for the second time

The hotel was in a really good central location and the staff were absolutely exceptional. They were extremely polite and helpful, stored my expensive equipment in a safe room away from general luggage during the day and were happy for me to work from their lobby for a few hours in the afternoon. The hotel itself has a great little pool and gym complex that isn't flash but gets the job done and is well maintained. The rooms are large and comfortable! Would stay again.

This was a last minute booking, when previous trav3l plans fell through. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We had a small issue with the air-conditioning, but it was quickly and easily solved. Room was a decent size. Lots of eating options around, and tramsnwere literally outside the door. Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed with my recent stay. The check-in process took 55 minutes, which was an extremely poor way to start the experience. On top of that, a member of housekeeping entered my room before check-out time, which made me feel very uncomfortable and disrupted my privacy. Overall, these issues left a negative impression

The main concern was at check in. We just could not hear the young lady ( very pleasant and polite). Despite saying numerous times we couldn’t hear her she didn’t, or couldn’t raise her voice, or do anything to try to improve our interaction. It was a real struggle. The two other reception staff were clearly engaging with their customers and we had no trouble hearing them. Having finally got to our room it had a single king bed despite me ringing at the time of booking , as requested to do, to ask for two single beds.

I am glad to have chosen Citadines on Bourke Melbourne. I've had previous experience staying with Citadines in Cebu and I took the chance of booking with them in Melbourne. The location was awesome! A tram station stop right outside you! It made going around so easy. We were in the CBD area but it never felt loud or crowded. So many shopping and dining options around the area. Staff were nice and friendly. Rooms were huge, clean and complete with extra amenities. Thank you Citadines for the 2 weeks experience!

Citadines on Bourke is my go-to hotel in Melbourne; quiet, located within walking distance of trams, attractions, eateries. Even if one ventures out to see a show in the theatre district or goes to a jazz venue, it’s an easy walk home. Plenty of cheap and cheerful or more upmarket eats within a 10 minute walk. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and well designed and cost is very reasonable.

For a visitor coming from out of town, it is a great location. Having lived in Melbourne I chose this location due to it and due to it not being too corporate or too far removed from the dining and and entertainment precincts.

Great location for all the Comedy shows and Chicago as well as Bourke Street shops. My only suggestion would be to have a slightly larger table in the room and 2 chairs so that we could eat together rather than taking it in turns

Central location with lots of restaurants and theatres around. Hotel was clean and spacious but no crockery even though there was a kitchenette with hot plates and dishwasher. TV picture was fuzzy but we went out anyway so not an issue for us. Friendly and efficient checkin and express check out was good. No restaurant so no breakfast available but would stay again

Excellent venue and staff were helpful and friendly. If you have young children, definitely take the time to go to the supermarket as there are not many cafes or suitable places to eat breakfast or easy meals nearby (on a weekend at least).

We got a single king room, with a mini kitchenette. Very clean, comfortable & practical. Great rooms. We paid for breakfast, prior as part of our travel & accommodation package. Breakfast is in a Thai restaurant, which is part of the hotel. Breakfast is fine, but no range on the menu to cater for guests who like to have a big breakfast. Couldn't get up & help yourself to extra breakfast, tea, coffee, toast or orange juice etc. Just not set up like a regular hotel buffet breakfast smorgasbord.
