Hotel located very centrally. Easy to get around enjoy the local sights and many shops and restaurants. Room very spacious and well appointed. Nice kitchenette with microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Families were having a great time at the pool and running all around the hotel. Dogs also out on holiday! Staff helpful and polite. Parking in town and at the hotel expensive.

The front desk staff was friendly during check-in, even gave us a couple happy birthday gift bags. The room was spacious but we had a sofa bed to make up and they did not provide proper linens for that like previous Residence Inns. We were told that was all they had. We also reluctantly paid the $40 valet parking fee since it seemed the best option but that was not mentioned until after the reservation was made. I must say the valet staff was very friendly and accommodating so it was okay. Breakfast was delicious, lots of hot and cold choices, very well stocked. We asked for ice upon checkout and were given a large bag at the front desk which was very nice. Overall a good stay.

The breakfast had all kinds of goodies. Oatmeal, with several toppings to choose from. The hot menu seems to change from day to day. We were there for a week, had eggs & bacon one day, then sausage patties and links the next. They surprised me on day 4 by having spinach quiche! Cereals, juice, breads, ect. also available. Coffee, tea, & hot cocoa 24/7. Our suite had everything we needed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat. Bathroom has FULL SIZE shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! Heated indoor pool! Oh, and what really made us book here: Dog friendly!! I really have no complaints about our stay BUT the parking situation. $45/day valet, meters, or parking garage? Booo! But I'll still stay here again!

We love to come to Portsmouth and always stay at the Residence Inn. We love the location and the kitchen in the room. The hotel also has breakfast, a pool, and is pet friendly. You can park conveniently across from the hotel. For Christmas, everything is beautifully decorated.

Our room was quite dirty when we checked in. Dried urine around bottom of toilet, potato chips on the rug and a dirty sheet still on the pull out couch mattress. Also, the pool was murky looking with quite a few hair balls floating around. We made the most out of our stay but would not book this hotel again.

My room was pretty tight compared to others I saw and extremely dusty. We had to call the front desk for two extra cleanings. The whole headboard, side tables, bathroom floor were covered in dust. Breakfast was great. Location was great. Staff were friendly. My son loved the pool but I found it to be way too cold.

I probably won’t stay there again… unfortunately when we got to our room the carpet had not been vacuumed…someone had clipped their fingernails into the floor. We had to call the front desk to have someone come vacuum.

This hotel could use a bit of an upgrade. The rugs are stained and the sofa was dirty. For the price, this was surprising. The location was excellent, but parking on the premises cost $40 a day. The breakfast was typical Marriott bland and processed food fare. It’s corporate America at its worst.

The location is great. Comforting curbside appearance. The neighborhood is filled with great finds in dining. Our suite was clean with exception of some hair we found in our tub/shower. Overall the furniture is showing its age.The valet parking guys were excellent!

It was very noisy, and the bed was uncomfortable. Was one of the worst night's sleep I can remember in a long time. Neighbors were noisy, sounds from the hallway all night, and the room was right above a few noisy bars and restaurants, so lots of shouting and street noise until after the bars closed.

It was very loud. There were footsteps above us that shook the light fixtures making them squeak, obnoxiously people in the hall after 11pm, and we heard partying out on the street. We stay in Portsmouth often and have never heard so much noise before.

Great location, clean, quiet and very comfortable bed - and a great price! It was unfortunate that the woman working the front desk was all by herself at 4pm check in - but at 3:30 there were two people there; it took about 20 minutes standing in line to check in. We're very patient so it's no big deal, but didn't understand why she was the only one at likely the busiest time of the day.

Check in was fine. The entire 3rd floor reeks of the hamburger joint downstairs and the front desk was somewhere between rude and downright nasty when we asked for a late checkout. Won’t be choosing this hotel again.

Great location. Very good condition. Shower control has flow control too. I hate hotels where you can't control the flow. We did tell the hotel. It would be nice if they had more towel racks or hooks in the bathroom to hang the bathtubs. Also, if you don't want to pay the valet service you can just drive your car yourself to the Foundry garage 3 blocks away. Breakfast was good. We did give feedback that we wish there were were real cutlery and ceramic plates instead of plastic, plastic and plastic and plastic. There is a lot to do in Portsmouth. There is dining and shopping. There are tour boats that go out to the isles of shoals and the beach is in Rye.

The only dissappointment was the breakfast situation--we have stayed here several times and this time the selection and quality of the items was very poor--no bread for toast, at all, the toasters do not "toast:" and are useless--they only heat up the bagel of english muffin inserted, and that takes forever. There were no eggs; just greasy bacon or egg, sausage and cheese on previously frozen bagels or some waffles in the warmer. No fruit at all. Really badly done--not the usual quality as in the past.

The hotel is in a perfect area, quiet, and yet walkable to the town center in minutes. Very friendly staff. Basic fast breakfast options. The room had a few things missing but nothing that changed the stay, I would recommend this hotel I would stay there again.

The stay was great, clean, comfy & friendly. The egg sandwiches & quiche in the morning were cold. Like cold, cold not edible. I was looking for a microwave thinking that we were supposed to heat them ourselves but that was not the case. I just had yogurt instead. Other than that would stay again & would recommend.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and I love almost everything about it. It is safe and clean. The only thing that needs a DESPERATE (capital letters so they hear me) is their dismal breakfast. It was really bad! I know COVID changed everything to single serve, but that is over. Bring your cooks back, make scrambled eggs, hash browns and pancakes again. Everything was pre-packaged under fancy stainless steel chafing dishes. I ate a tiny Dannon yogurt with fixings. Please at least serve a full size tasty Siggis Greeek yogurt. The hotel is amazing! Parking was $40. I paid $365 for a 19 hour stay with a horrid breakfast. Real food would have made the difference.
