BIG4 Melbourne Holiday Park

Great place lots of amenities for kids. Great customer service

The children love going to the park. It would have been good to have a park for the older children. Over all we were happy with the facilities

Friendly staff. Clean older style cabin. Plenty of beds. Heater heated whole cabin. Pool shut early though. Definitely would come back again!

We have stayed at Big 4 sites before so had an expectation it would be similar but unfortunately this one let us down - first of all it was soooo over priced for what we got - a tiny 2 bedroom cabin advertised as a 6 birth yet they charged an additional $300 for a 5th guest which ended up = nearly $500 a night. You’d expect more for this price like the bare basics of WiFi but there is only WiFi in their main areas which was no where near our cabin. Tiny TVs, tiny couch, tiny bathroom & shower with no bench tops to put your things. They advertised as being 10 min from the city which it’s not. There’s nothing to do in the area nor on site except for a dirty small kids pool which was not clear water and stunk of chlorine, an outdoor cinema with the most uncomfortable chairs I’ve ever seen. What annoyed me the most was I looked online after arrival and saw there was better cabins available which we would have been happy to pay for a better upgrade and there was heaps of availability and they were half the price of what we paid which made us feel very ripped off. For the sake of having a good time away we took the loss (of paying up front no refund booking ) and moved elsewhere and for a cheaper price than the big 4 we stayed near St Kilda beach in a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms two lounge rooms WiFi streaming devices

Lovely and clean. Smelt lovely when we arrived. Excellent beating and cooling. Lovely shower. Beautiful play area for kids. On site coffee shop an amazing idea

Lovely stay. The staff were very kind and attentive. Had the best sleep I've had in ages. Beautiful pool with a heated spa which was a lovely surprise. Children loved the entertainment room and outdoor cinema is a lovely touch. Very quiet considering the close proximity to the city. Will definitely stay again.

Fantastic for children!

We and our 3 kids had a great weekend stay here, check inn was a breeze with helpful friendly staff, layout of the park was easy to navigate, fantastic facilities and playgroung and pool exceptional! There is a shopping centre within walking distance and lots of dining options, we choose burgrill which was close by And a fantastic meal. 10/10

Love staying here. Staff are friendly and helpful, cabins are clean and well-appointed. Amenities and grounds are excellent and well-maintained.

Had lovely stay, we had two units and both where very nice, the beds were really comfy and the Aircon worked great. Staff were great really helpful especially Loo. Park is very clean and have nice facilities. I would recommend this park to anyone wanting a nice relaxing time Van 10 and 12 check out 3rd December

Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. The only downside the spa hadn’t been cleaned properly a big chunk of hair came out of the jets when first turned on. Other than that everything was amazing would recommend staying here again.

A bit disappointed by flooring was lifting and seemed greasy like floor hadn't been mopped and having a 2 year old, tripped a few times on lifted flooring

It was clean place but do not expect house keeping services even after 2 days because if you renting cottage for 6 days they will expect you to ask for linen change and towel change after 5 days. I am not sure it’s their policy or the manager made it by himself and herself. I book for 6 days, after 3 days ask for housekeeping services at 9am which manager says not possible and will be done next day. Next day, they only change bed linen and towel. They even didn’t clean the room, it was visible that the room is not cleaned. Anyways it is good for one or 2 days stay, longer stays are not at all recommended. It’s shame after paying 860$ , still didn’t recieve housekeeping services.

My cabin was very clean and I enjoyed my stay there.

Cabin was clean and tidy and the park was clean and neat. Very quiet location with very little road noise

The aeroplanes going over are quite loud! Otherwise great place to stay!

Cabin didn't have hot water

Cabin 85, 1 bedroom 4 berth cabin - 6 nights in late Feb ‘24 (1 adult, 1 5yo child) at approx $160pn. Positives - convenient location (provided you have a car) - Woolies nearby - dishwashing liquid, dish cloth & garbage bags provided - mini fridge, mini stove & oven, microwave, toaster & kettle provided, along with basic cookware - aircon & heater work well - main bed is comfy (pillows awful though) - playground on site Negatives - annoying having to use a 6 number key code to exit (entry I understand, but exiting?!) - we had no hot water on 26 Feb & no warning or explanation - cabin is super noisy with no sound proofing at all. Large trees overhead mean we had possums partying hard on the roof every night / early AM. - pool is FREEZING, not warm/solar heated as advertised. We were here on a 37 degree day (previous days had been high 30s), yet the pool was freezing. Spa is heated, but to lukewarm pool temperature, not warm spa temperature. - air hockey is advertised in the games room but doesn’t exist. (They do have table tennis, giant chess & giant connect 4, but my son’s heart was set on the air hockey he’d seen in the pictures.) - Query if the cabin floor is ever washed or only swept or vacuumed because our feet were black after walking on it for a short period. - ironing board was damaged & iron leaked water everywhere - window & door screens have huge holes so let in bugs if you want fresh air. - tv not “smart” so you can only access free to air

No room Wi-Fi,

It was convenient and handy location wise. The cabin was clean and tidy. The only downside was excessive noise coming from the laundry at Night. I believe the laundry should not be allowed to operate after 9.30pm.

Really nice and clean 2 bed cabin. Had all the utensils we needed. The only problem was the WiFi was very patchy, but it was very windy during our stay so possibly reason.

Cabin was spotless but dated. An overall upgrade is required.

Quiet place. Beds were comfortable, cabin was clean and tidy. Starting to show signs of needing some updating though. Check in was quick and easy. Communication was excellent.

Nightmare to check in to get a key.

I had pre-ordered groceries to be delivered to Reception prior to my arrival. The staff very kindly delivered them to my cabin and put the perishable items in the fridge. I was so grateful to arrive and be able to have a cold drink to unwind!

Place was amazing staff even better. Nothing was too much trouble. Cleanest caravan park I’ve ever stayed at.

Had late check in, lovely to to have lights and heating on in the unit. Drop box and text messages trouble free.

Loved my stay, it was easy check in, communication form staff knowing I may be late, was impeccable. The cabin was so clean and had milk so I could enjoy a cup of tea upon arrival. Thank you very much, Ill certainly be back soon. Regards Judy W

Great place but horrible staff that treated us disgustingly. Shame the staff are so bad as it would of been great otherwise.

We will definitely be back. So convenient and close to the city without being in the city great for families and caravans 👍 clean and tidy cabins.

Ideal location for us, close to where our family is located in Reservoir. Both the cabin and the holiday park was clean and tidy. Cabin had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. My only criticism is the high price per night.
