We received a warm and helpful reception upon arrival. The manager was most attentive to our needs and carried out luggage up to our room as there is no elevator. Every detail about the Inn is practical and esthetically pleasing. The host welcomes you with a drink of choice upon arrival a well. He informs you of the details of your stay, timing for breakfast, how to get entry after hours, the parking of your car.

We were very pleased with our stay - the Hotel was very rustic and in a great location. They arranged a private transfer for us from Nuremberg and again back to airport which was wonderful. We used the sauna which has great facilities and is kept private for individual use.

Excellent 1,000 year old hotel. We stayed in room 6 on the second floor (ground / first / second). It is spacious with a view over the flower boxes to the Main Street below. It’s a very short walk to the market square. Our stay was in early September so we had a window open at night and the room was a pleasant temperature. Be aware there is no lift / elevator. You will need to get your cases up the stairs. Our room had a shower in a tub and a swinging glass door to contain the water. That door was not great - we got water on the floor and had to quickly sop it up Breakfast was very good - served in the garden. Definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing location without a doubt. The shower pressure was sensational. Our room had a great view of the Franciscan church. The room was very quaint with a nice mini fridge with free drinks. My impression of the hotel however nosedived when I saw a hole in the bottom sheet on the bed. Hard for housekeeping to have missed seeing. I mentioned it on my check in review but the sheet was never replaced during my stay. For the price I paid for the room I would expect serviceable sheets. On a great note the breakfast that was included was very nice. All the employees were very kind and friendly too.

We were greeted with a warm welcome by the host/owner of this very old hotel. He was kind and helpful getting us set in our rooms offering a prosecco after our long drive. The hotel is quite old and has had some modest updates. It was comfortable enough but not a high rated quality in spite of the hotels.com rating that I used to book it. Sheets and towels were worn and torn. Very modest amenities. Cleanliness was questionable. In America it would have rated about a 2+ star hotel. It was sufficient enough for one night but very over priced for the value of the room/stay and experience.

Very lovely boutique hotel.We stayed 2 nights. Accommodations good except no air & very warm at night. Windows open but no breeze one night & humid. And one of the reasons I chose this hotel was it said it had air conditioning.And there were a couple holes in the sheets. Also there is no elevator so we had heavy luggage 1 large suitcase each due to being on a one month trip. So any handicapped person or can’t carry luggage this hotel would not work for you. He did help & carried one bag up for us & my husband the other. Breakfast was good ,you have a few nice choices . We ate at hotel last night there & & we chose the 5 course meal with wine pairing & it was amazing! The chef & Philippe did awesome! ! The location was great too!

This was a magical place inside the city walls and just moments from the beautiful Old Town area. Our room # 8, was so beautiful including a Christmas tree! This historic hotel is so comfortable. The bed was great and the shower was so refreshing. The manager and all the staff were so helpful and kind. Note: there is not an elevator and the room we were in had a staircase between the bedroom and main living area, where the bathroom is.

We spent two nights here in Rothenburg and loved our stay. The hotel is set just off the main square and is very quiet. We slept with the windows open each night and we're surprised by how quiet it was. The staff was incredibly friendly and always made sure anything you needed was attended. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was the most comfortable of our trip. Breakfast each morning was generous and delicious. We did not utilize their valet service but it seemed to be very convenient and easy. Definitely intend to return to Rothenburg and we would certainly stay here again.

Such a nice hotel! Very pretty inside and the rooms are huge! They gave us a welcome drink and we enjoy the back garden sitting area. Within a 1-2 minute walk of the market square. I would absolutely recommend staying!

I’ve stayed at this hotel before, I did not realize that the room I booked is not located on the property. Beware if you book this room that the bathroom is not good for an elderly person. It is very narrow and there is a steep stair going down. The shower is smaller than that of a cruise ship. On the positive side - Breakfast is great and the hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

The manager Filip was very kind and knowledgeable! The dining experience was absolutely superb. If I could give more stars, I would. He had very excellent wine pairings and was very helpful when we had questions. Helped us with our bags up and down the stairs. He even valeted the German super car we rented! Michael also made our breakfast experience smooth and easy. The staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

I was so excited about staying at this property. I’d like to give it a 5 star but for the reason below have given it a 4 star. The hotel looked to be beautiful (Rick Steves highly recommended hotel) but when we checked in they took us to a less desirable location and building down along a different street. The apartment itself was clean and nice but we didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful old hotel. Had the description said it wasn’t in the hotel itself I would not have chosen that room. When we were asked what time we’d like breakfast we said 8:30am the following morning but when we arrived they had no room for us A lovely coulple from Chicago kindly offered to have us join them so that was very generous of them. I think if they know most of their guest are coming for 8:30am they could have suggested coming earlier or later!? Maybe they should physically write down when people are requesting their preference for brrakfast!? The breakfast choices itself were amazing. The staff were friendly etc….but my biggest disappointment would be not physically staying in the gorgeous, old hotel. It was a splurge for us and I was so excited to stay there but was sadly disappointed. So maybe try to confirm the room you’d like and make sure it’s actually in the hotel itself!? The town of Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber was AMAZING! Must see old walled town! We did the night watchman’s tour in the evening and that was fun.

Tolles Zimmer in einem beeindruckenden Gebäude in bester Ausgangslage für Rothenburg. Wir haben abends nicht im Restaurant gegessen, aber hatten morgens ein wunderbares Frühstück und durchgehend v.a. einen perfekten Gastgeber in Person des Concierge Cengiz. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment willkommen und bestens aufgehoben.

Hotel Herrnschloesschen is absolutely first class! Our room overlooked the street and church with lovely flowers everywhere. It was spacious and in character with its 1000 year old building. The staff was very attentive. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. The location is perfect and we were able to walk everywhere. We walked to the hotel from the train station. The cobblestones were challenging on our luggage. I highly recommend this hotel.

It’s just a Wonderful property. The staff is the best, as good as any 5 star in the world. And if you can, eat at their restaurant. It’s Michelin 2 star worthy without a doubt. It’s not yet but it will be. Amazing courses, the chef is an absolute master and the waiter we had was a true delight.
