Cute place! Recently renovated room that was very comfortable. Very clean and staff was very friendly. It's about 15-20 minutes from Monterey Bay. Free parking. Gas station on property with a mini mart. The lobby office was being renovated. 5 minute drive to the beach. Breakfast is just a granola bar, yogurt and fruit they give you in a lunch bag. Worked out great for what we needed and price was reasonable.

First the lobby is attached to the gas station. Sounds odd but it’s actually great. The young man who greeted us was so incredibly nice and very informative. He pointed out where our room was and where everything was. Probably one of the best customer services I have ever experienced .

At first when I pulled up I was not sure , the property has a gas station and convent store, but the rooms are clean, comfortable bed and the service is excellent. Staff super friendly and have the gas station and store was actually very convenient.

There was no breakfast nook like it was shown in the pictures. The office area was inside a gas station convenient store. It was a breakfast bag on the go. The reason I picked it was because of the picture of the little breakfast area. I feel like that is false advertising. They should show recent pictures of what it looks like. The picture I was not impressed especially on how much I paid for this room.

There was work being done on the property and loose gravel, rocks, and rebar made it difficult to walk around.

It was very clean and the staff was nice. Good breakfast and coffee. When we arrived we were worried because the property is shared with a gas station and they were remodeling so stuff was kinda all over.

Difficult to find parking to check in

The place is OK, but that is all. It is very hard to find. No sign. You have to enter by going through a gas station. Google maps the place wrong. Not environmental. Only plastic and paper cups. Price at $90 was a but high. Motel 6 quality, but a higher price

Property is under renovation. There are workers there and piles of loose rocks.

They didn’t make up the room, had to go get fresh towels, and our key cards stopped working after day 1.

The pictures hide the gas station and the room had hair on the sheets and hair in the bath tub. Floors were dirty as well.

Our room was super clean. We had a great stay. It smelled clean as soon as you walked in and the bed was very comfortable as well. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area!

This property is always clean. Staff is friendly. I feel safe here.

Ich habe das Hotel aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und der hübschen Bilder ausgewählt. Offenbar hatten wir ein bisschen Pech, darum hier eine kleine Zusammenfassung zu unserem Aufenthalt: Zuerst einmal war die Lobby in einer Tankstelle. Ungewöhnlich, unruhig, aber durch den netten Empfang kein Problem. Frühstück Gäbe es am Morgen an der selben Stelle… Wir fragten und: Wo? Als wir das Zimmer bezogen roch es überall nach Farbe, was nicht überraschend ist, wenn gerade die Fassade des Inns renoviert wird. Was mich dann wirklich gestört hat, waren die vielen Haare auf dem Boden. Ansonsten war es sehr sauber… aber Haare? Das kann ich einfach nicht verstehen. Wir haben auch in den folgenden Tagen am Rand unter den Betten noch sehr viele Haare gefunden - einfach nicht meins. Der Rest - Bettwaäsche und Handtücher sowie Oberflächen waren augenscheinlich sauber. Das Frühstück gab es dann in einer Papiertüte zugeteilt. Für uns ausreichend und irgendwie ein bisschen charmant, aber die Menge und der Inhalt (Joghurt, Madeleines, Müsliriegel und Obst) sind sicher nicht für jeden etwas. Ich möchte jedoch mit einem extrem positiven Aspekt enden: Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter mit denen wir Kontakt hatten waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser TV ging nicht und der Mitabeiter ist sogar mehrfach mit nach oben gekommen, hat höflich gefragt ob er eintreten darf und hat das Problem am Ende lösen können. Das freundliche Verhalten hat dem Aufenthalt eine positive Note gegeben

The front desk was a bit difficult to find and located in an unusual spot, but the young man at reception was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights, though housekeeping did not service our room during that time. The location is convenient, only about 15 minutes from Monterey, which helps explain the higher rate, though the room itself felt a bit underwhelming for the price. Overall, it was a good experience.

Floors were dirty. Fridge needed to be de-iced.

No housekeeping for the duration of my stay. I guess I would have to request it. It’s okay though because I only would have requested clean towels.

Das mit dem Frühstückspaket zum Abholen war sehr gut und umfangreich. Leider war es schade, dass unser Zimmer keinen Ausblick hatte und sehr dunkel in der hintersten Ecke. Wir waren 4 Nächte dort und hatten in der Zeit nur 1x „Zimmerservice“, aber auch nur auf Grund wiederholter Anfragen und Erinnerungen.

Room was nice size, comfy bed and pillows. Tv was pretty small but everything else was good.

I had an amazing stay there!! I actually had to really find something to say negatively about it. 1. Water pressure in the shower. Water was nice and hot. 2. The size of the tv was a bit small. 3. This is an issue that probably needs fixing. The speed bump coming off California Ave. You can’t see it and it jars the hell outta you if you don’t know it’s there. Other than these 3 things, I had an awesome stay. Will go there again in the future!

The location is right on a busy road and the walls are so thin I could hear everything in the next room. Nor a cozy place…

The room and grounds were very clean. The hotel itself is ok but needs updating. For the price point and convenience it’s fine. Suitable for a one or two night stay expectations just the basics.

There was some mold on the back of the door. There was a nice patio on the room.

Staff was very nice. Room was big and fairly recently renovated. While it wasn’t loud, we could hear the roadway. We both found the bed and pillows uncomfortable

The hotel room was very good. There was a very pleasant floral smell in the room. We liked the laminate floors instead of carpeting. The bathtub/shower appeared older. Breakfast was a banana, yogurt, oranges, cookie and chewy granola bar. We were on the first floor & Unfortunately, on the last night, the noise from upstairs was horrible with people walking back. & forth & loud bangs from their room like something was falling every now & then. It was so hard to sleep. The room had very light colors & was pleasant. We wish we got the young guys name who checked us in. He was wonderful! He was a night worker. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

If you're looking for a budget friendly place to stay, as we all jnownhow expensive hotel, even motel stays are in Monterey, dont give this place a second thought. Would rate this as a 5 star motel. Very clean, a little outdated in the bathroom, but overall very clean. Bed and pillows were comfy. Sheets were nice and clean, smelled of bleach cleanliness. Towels were nice, clean, and soft. It was very quiet and clean. There is a gas station in the center of the complex and a convenience store next to the lobby. They provide to go sack bags for breakfast which includes a granola bar, breakfast sandwich/breakfastBurrito/breakfast hot pocket/croissant sandwich, tangerine, banana, danish, yogurt, and a blue bell cheese. It was very unique and cute. Service was very good. They also have oatmeal packets, organic milk, yohoo, and Capri sun's for the kids. Would definitely stay again.

Manager is a terrible person, rooms are not well maintained. Canceled our reservation without telling us because we asked Expedia whether we can change the booking . Would not go there again, ever!

Not on the water Expensive Gas station is part of the motel No view Room.was clean Manager wasrude regarding my service dog. Doesn't recognize dog for PTSD.

The young man there who checked us in was one of the most personable and helpful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting with!! He gave us our rooms a little early, made sure the two rooms we were given were next door to each other, he gave recommendations for different beaches to visit based on different things we may be looking for, he was so friendly, even the next day he tried to help me find something I needed to season my dinner!!! I would stay here again because of his customer service and genuine personality. Aside from that, the rooms were clean and nice (especially for the low price we paid for two nights!!) and they kindly changed the linens when I asked, due to the kids getting sand everywhere (after going to one of the beaches he recommended 😁) GREAT PLACE

Our flight was very late...far past 10:00 when the office would be closed. I talked with the manager who kindly agreed to leave our key at the 24/7 gas station next door. I am quite impressed with his kindness and willingness to help.

The staff at the hotel was great! We had priblems with our tv & the came immediately to repair the situation. The location was excellent to go north or south along Highway 1. The cost was prefect for our budget allowing us to spend our money shopping, visiting local attractions & eating out.

The location it's an old Howard Johnson. The staff did everything we asked and supplied us with very nice take-out breakfast. It's conveniently located. I would recommend this hotel to people who aren't looking for a fancy place but conveniently located. It's not far from the airport at Monterey Bay, City of Carmel, 17 miles, etc.

Not what I expected but wasn't terrible. Pics of beach access were false/deceiving. No beach access which is one of the reasons we chose this location. Pretty sure it's a refurbished Motel 6. There were no adjoining rooms. The breakfast was handed to me in a brown bag to go. Kind of odd. Nothing like we expected but it was quiet, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfy.

This isn’t a knock on the property it’s fine it just that when I searched for a place to stay near the Monterey Bay Aquarium this one showed up but it’s actually about 18 to 20 minute drive away from where we thought we would be. Other than that it’s a nice enough hotel for the price.

Best place on budget if you are visiting Monterey Bay and Big Sur Very close to Santa Cruz as well

We enjoyed this motel. It was basic dining in its amenities. Seems to have been recently updated. It was clean and safe. The desk staff were very nice, and accommodated us getting an additional room. The sack (grab and go) breakfasts were good (Costco prepackaged items). Excellent value!

Breakfast is way too simple

Rooms clean, beds and pillows very uncomfortable, pretty noisy super thin walls, continental breakfast was not good because they did not allow you to choose what you wanted they put random stuff in a paper bag and handed it to you.

Really nice breakfast to go packed in a brown bag. Complementary coffee was very good! TV was a little hard to figure out as there were 2 remotes but after speaking to the front desk he gave me the basics to get it started.

Great stay there. The breakfast was interesting with fruits and yoghurt but I wished to have some bread too.
