We had great stay. It was a bit tricky to find our way in because of the pedestrianisation of the street where it is located. Despite having booked a parking spot, we were not given instructions on how to go about passing the electric bollards until we called the hotel on our second trial. But we were then given clear directions over the phone whilst traveling which was a great help. Despite the fact that like many places in France there is barely not many restaurants open on Sundays and Mondays and so was unfortunately the restaurant of the Hotel. the only negative point was the lift does make quite a bit of noise and that there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drains. Which was spotlessly clean so must be the city drains issue. We were offered a room upgrade for our wedding anniversary stay and all staff were extremely professional and welcoming. We will definitely consider staying there again.

An oasis of class and tranquility in the heart of old La Rochelle, complete with a spacious lobby, swimming pool, parking, and attached restaurant. Courteous and well informed staff. We could not quite figure out the AC, fortunately the weather was perfect at night. Driving into the hotel takes getting used to typing in the code to open the road barrier, but that’s the price of calm.

Amazing little find for a short stay in La Rochelle. Small boutique hotel with great service and even better cocktails! We could have stayed for longer. One downside was the pool area which is more of a dipping pool and there was a bit of scramble to find a sun bed in the sun! Would highly recommend and would go again. Only other downside is that smoking is allowed in some parts of the hotel.

Once navigated the bollards to access the hotel (a quick phone call) all was plain sailing. Great check in, wonderful view from room, pool was quiet, easy 10-15 min walk to harbour and restaurants.

Gorgeous hotel in the centre of La Rochelle. Close to the old port and the central market. Spa and hammam, with a small pool perfect for kids. Rooms spacious and nicely appointed.

We really loved this hotel, every single member of the staff were so nice and professional, the room had a good feeling to it and the spa era has a superb sauna. We would only stay here when back in the city.

Très bonne insonorisation des chambres. L’hôtel est très bien situé, au cœur même de La Rochelle. Personnel accueillant, aimable et compétant. Établissement très bien tenu. On a passé un très bon moment.

Une chambre vétuste, une salle de bain d'un autre temps, des eclats sur les murs les meubles. Une wifi qui ne fonctionne pas ... Chambre non insonorisé qui nous fait profiter des chambres voisines et de l'entrée de l'hotel. Un matelas beaucoup trop ferme et inconfortable. Une grande deception

I love this hotel. The property is great. The communal bar area is a lovely place to hang out. The rooms are lovely and clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptional. Possibly my favourite hotel to stay at in all of France. Sadly I don't spend enough time, just a quick visit for work...next time I will spend longer just to enjoy the amazing bar and lounge.

Ett fantastiskt hotell för det pris vi betalade. Personal som visade högsta servicenivå, ett bra rum med fungerande wifi samt gångavstånd till allt man ska besöka. Nära till marknaden som har allt att erbjuda.

Stayed for 3 nights and the hotel was just perfect to explore La Rochelle, in the Old Town but just a short walk to the Port. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were attentive and friendly and helped us with things like arranging taxis. Fantastic relaxing break, would go back.

The best location! Staff is extremely polite and helpful. We had a room facing the pool and one thing that was a bit annoying is that the music speakers at the pool were going late into the evening and we had to call to get them to turn it off. (Which they did every time) but after 10 pm, please turn off the music outside.

Lovely hotel in the nicest part of La Rochelle. Super friendly service and very welcoming reception and communal spaces. The room was large but strangely arranged with little space to get around the bed and no shelves on which to put clothing.

Der Service war schlecht und die Kommunikation im Vorfeld mangelhaft. Es wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, dass der Parkplatz vorab gebucht werden muss und dass die Einfahrt zum Hotel über eine gesperrte Straße bei 43 Rue du Cordeuan mit einem Code erfolgt. Diese Informationen hätten uns einiges an Stress erspart. Als wir schließlich ankamen, war der einzige nette Aspekt der Barkeeper, der uns freundlicherweise beim Ausladen des Gepäcks half – obwohl dies eigentlich nicht seine Aufgabe war. Ein Parkservice war nicht vorhanden, sodass wir unser Auto selbst zu einem entfernten Parkplatz bringen mussten. Das Hotel selbst ist äußerlich ein unattraktiver Betonklotz aus den 60er Jahren, der dringend eine Renovierung nötig hätte. Der Pool ist winzig und oft überfüllt, sodass man kaum die Gelegenheit hat, sich zu entspannen. Das Zimmer war total abgewohnt und wirkte, als wäre die Einrichtung seit den frühen 90ern nicht mehr erneuert worden. Überall findet man angeschlagenes Holz, was den insgesamt schlechten Zustand unterstreicht. Die Dusche war eine Katastrophe – nach jedem Duschen stand das gesamte Badezimmer unter Wasser. Zudem spritzte beim Spülen der Toilette Wasser auf den Deckel, was sehr unangenehm war. Der Elektrizitätskasten im Schrank wirkte wie ein Relikt aus vergangenen Zeiten. Alles in allem würde ich dieses Hotel bestenfalls als ein besseres 3-Sterne-Hotel einstufen. Die einzige positive Erfahrung war die Bar sowie die freundlichen Barkeeper.

Alles in allem würde ich dieses Hotel bestenfalls als ein besseres 3-Sterne-Hotel einstufen. Die einzige positive Erfahrung war die Bar sowie die freundlichen Barkeeper.

I love this hotel. The property is great. The communal bar area is a lovely place to hang out. The rooms are lovely and clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptional. Possibly my favourite hotel to stay at in all of France. Sadly I don't spend enough time, just a quick visit for work...next time I will spend longer just to enjoy the amazing bar and lounge.

We had great stay. It was a bit tricky to find our way in because of the pedestrianisation of the street where it is located. Despite having booked a parking spot, we were not given instructions on how to go about passing the electric bollards until we called the hotel on our second trial. But we were then given clear directions over the phone whilst traveling which was a great help. Despite the fact that like many places in France there is barely not many restaurants open on Sundays and Mondays and so was unfortunately the restaurant of the Hotel. the only negative point was the lift does make quite a bit of noise and that there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drains. Which was spotlessly clean so must be the city drains issue. We were offered a room upgrade for our wedding anniversary stay and all staff were extremely professional and welcoming. We will definitely consider staying there again.

An oasis of class and tranquility in the heart of old La Rochelle, complete with a spacious lobby, swimming pool, parking, and attached restaurant. Courteous and well informed staff. Driving into the hotel takes getting used to typing in the code to open the road barrier, but that’s the price of calm.

Stayed for 3 nights and the hotel was just perfect to explore La Rochelle, in the Old Town but just a short walk to the Port. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were attentive and friendly and helped us with things like arranging taxis. Fantastic relaxing break, would go back.

Once navigated the bollards to access the hotel (a quick phone call) all was plain sailing. Great check in, wonderful view from room, pool was quiet, easy 10-15 min walk to harbour and restaurants.

Room was really nice too with the best hotel bed i have ever slept in! I didn't want to get up in the morning so ended up skipping my pre-paid breakfast! I look forward to a return

The hotel has been well decorated and has excellent facilities; one of the best I've stayed at this year. 2 issues: the breakfast at 32 Eu per person is excessively priced; the hotel could have sent directions before the stay as it is somewhat difficult to find by car and GPS.

We loved our stay in La Rochelle. The staff were super friendly, really helpful with recommendations and we felt really well looked after. We were also offered a welcome drink which was a wonderful start to our stay. Great location for exploring La Rochelle allowing you to walk everywhere. We were a family of 5 staying at the hotel and we had plenty of space - two rooms with an interlocking door, one being a suite so we didn't feel cramped at all. We didn't want to leave!
