첫 상하이 여행이라 호텔 이동 없이 3박을 했습니다. 루프탑 바 찾아다니기 귀찮기도 하고 호사를 좀 부리고 싶은 마음에 친구와 리버뷰 트윈을 예약했는데 굉장히 만족스러웠습니다. 야경이 환상적이에요. OLD SHANGHAI 그 자체인 유서 깊은 건물(구관)과 넓진 않지만 개방감 있는 로비(신관) 모두 아름다웠어요. 지하철 역과 가깝지는 않아 뚜벅이족들에게 추천하긴 어렵습니다만 난징동루와 예원 모두 도보로 이동 가능하며 상하이의 저렴한 택시(Didi)를 이용하면 대부분의 주요 관광지까지 10분 대에 이동 가능합니다. 와이탄에 위치한 덕분에 시간을 따로 내지 않아도 호텔로 돌아올 때마다 야경을 즐길 수 있었어요. 직원들의 접객 또한 수준 높았으며 조식 메뉴 중 주문 요리(프렌치 토스트, 팬케이크, 와플 등)는 정말 추천할 만 합니다. 덕분에 미리 알아뒀던 프렌치 토스트 맛집은 패스했어요. 첫 상하이 여행에서 선택하길 잘했다고 생각하고 기회가 된다면 다시 묵고 싶은 호텔입니다.

The amenities are perfect for young families- my husband enjoyed the gym and the pool was very clean as well as family friendly. There is a wet and dry sauna in the locker room too. As a non-Chinese traveler, I felt the staff was extra thoughtful in explaining how to use the amenities to the different things to do in the area. The staff also made sure to accommodate my requests. Overall, the experience was amazing and I would stay at this hotel again.

This location has made sure they paid attention to every little detail. The staff throughout our entire stay was both delightful and helpful. They even helped us find a taxi when none seemed to be available. As for the hotel and room itself, everything has been maintained very well. The beds were very comfortable. The sitting area was impeccable and the view was phenomenal. Even the teas were outstanding. As for the location, I live how close it was to the Yu Gardens, good food, and some fun shopping. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Shanghai.

This was a winner. A fantastic location, large, clean and lovely rooms, and the Waldorf Staff was so kind and helpful. I loved everything about our stay there. Breakfast is lovely, and as an American struggling with chopsticks, I really appreciated the forks. Just a gorgeous and kind place to stay.

Ein fantastischer Hotel mit einem exzellenten Service! Die tolle Lage, die Geschichte, das Flair ist nicht zu topen! Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit dem Blick zum Bund. Hier war ich allerdings ein wenig enttäuscht dass das Hotel „so weit hinten“ liegt. Es ist also nicht die aller erste Reihe aber Top. Wir kommen wieder!

Disappointing experience. We have struggled during our stay because we don’t speak Chinese. During my stay, the hotel was full of security guards who were not letting us get inside the hotel for a long period, because some important person was visiting. The hotel didn’t warn us or notify us ahead of this. Every time we ask concierge to book taxi for us the process was not easy to follow and takes very long time and you have to walk some distance to meet the taxi driver in a different location because taxis are not allowed to stop near hotel entrance. Overall the stay was disappointing and I can’t recommend this hotel at all.

Great location to visit and see The Bund. Very nice rooms. The breakfast was VERY pricey for what you get. I would suggest visiting The Walking Street (only about 11 minutes walk from the hotel) for meals.

객실은 깨끗하고 뷰가 너무 좋았습니다. 다만 아쉬운 점이라면 호텔조식이 너무 맛없어서 4일 동안 같은 음식을 먹는게 힘들정도 였습니다. 조식을 좀 더 신경써야 하지 않을까 합니다. 호텔위치는 너무 좋았고 뷰도 좋았으나 직원들의 서비스는 그닥 인상적이다는 느낌은 없었고, 조식은 비추 입니다. 다음 상해 여행 갈때는 다른 호텔을 찾아볼 예정입니다.
